[BL] Oops! Guiding The F Class Villain Esper Gone Wrong!
Chapter 191: TOO LATE.
Chapter 191: 191: TOO LATE.
"The situation is still uncertain right now... You can’t mess things up however you want..." Mr. Gregory tried explaining.
But Jason snapped, "I don’t care!" he said with a serious expression, his eyes locked on the Chancellor. "None of it is my business. All I want is what I asked of you..."
Jason tilted his head as he added, "I’ve already spoken with my dad and the other parents, and they seem to want the same thing..."
Mr. Gregory’s expression stiffened as Jason continued. "You should know the consequences of refusing me. The academy is already suffering at a time like this, and our parents certainly won’t be willing to support it with any losses or compensation."
Jason smiled as he said, "So, if you want any assistance of that sort, you’ll have to work for it. You’ll have to do what we want. That’s fair enough, don’t you think?"
Mr. Gregory said nothing. He sat there staring at Jason with a firm expression, his thoughts running through his head.
"I’ll see what I can do," he finally replied, maintaining his firm expression as he stared at Jason. "I’ll see... how I can handle that."
Jason finally smiled. "That’s more like it."
He got up from his seat and was about to leave when he suddenly paused.
"And..."
Jason looked down at Mr. Gregory. "The academy has been getting annoying lately, disturbing our peace."
"That June is going to be a lot of trouble, and we don’t want to deal with him interfering in our private business," he added with a smirk.
"I know I can’t have you expel him just like that, but at least... keep him under control. Nosy people like him are the reason the number of students in recent intakes was drastically reduced. Don’t let our strategy go to waste."
He smiled as he turned to leave. "So, keep him under control. And make sure those annoying investigators are kept in check too, okay?"
With that, Jason walked out.
Left alone, Mr. Gregory sat staring into thin air. He had completely forgotten about the work waiting on his desk as he slowly clenched his fist.
After a while, he closed his eyes and took a calming breath. When he opened them again, his gaze fell on the papers scattered across his desk.
Then, Mr. Gregory picked up his phone and placed a call. After several rings, the person on the other end finally answered.
"Reinforce security and keep the students in check so they don’t wander around aimlessly," he ordered. "And... the authorities handling the investigation shouldn’t be allowed to dig too deep."
After that, he ended the call and stared into thin air once more, his fist clenching as he breathed slowly.
---
Night.
Around the academy premises, a young man ran through the dark corners of the grounds. The sound of his ragged breathing and hurried footsteps echoed along the lonely path.
He ran as though his life depended on it, making his way through the stairs of an incomplete building before rushing upstairs in search of safety.
The young man finally reached a spot on the upper floor and hid behind the pillars, cautiously looking around. Light from the other buildings brushed across his face, revealing the bruises and blood covering his face and body.
He was clearly injured, and his entire body trembled with fear as he looked around, desperately checking to make sure no one had followed him.
But it was already too late.
As he turned around, a fist smashed into his face. His body flew through the air before crashing onto the ground, and he immediately coughed up blood.
The battered young man struggled to his feet, ending up dangerously close to the edge of the rooftop. He stared into the distance at the person pursuing him, wiping the blood from his mouth as he tried to steady himself.
It was dark, making it difficult to see the person’s face. Only glimpses of his hand and clothing were visible. He wore something grand and extravagant, with a black glove covering one hand.
The mysterious figure adjusted his gloves with an almost leisurely elegance as he approached the injured young man.
"Stay away from me... Stay..." the young man stammered, backing away while anxiously measuring the distance between himself and the edge of the rooftop. He was clearly terrified of falling.
"Stay away from me! If you do anything funny, I’ll tell everyone! I’ll make sure everyone knows about it... I’ll expose your secret to the entire world!" he threatened.
But the figure didn’t stop. He continued approaching, adjusting his gloves as he let out a quiet, mocking laugh. Eventually, he came to a stop.
"And what do you think that’s going to do?" he asked calmly. "Who’s even going to believe the likes of you?"
The young man stumbled backward, his fear growing as he stared at the figure now standing before him.
"I have evidence... and I’ll... I’ll make sure I use it to take you down. All of you... So..."
He stumbled over a stone, struggling to regain his balance as he continued, "So... don’t try me. I..."
But the figure laughed softly.
"Fool... I’d like to see what you can do after falling from there. Someone who’s dead certainly can’t share evidence with the world, now can they?"
The young man glared at him, panic flashing across his face as the figure approached again. This time, the man clenched his fist, seemingly preparing to act.
The young man swallowed nervously. "You... You..." he stammered, staggering backward as the figure spoke again.
"You should have listened when you were told to," he said. "Curious minds like yours always end up in such pathetic situations."
He scoffed and continued approaching.
"Too bad there’s nothing you can do about it now..."
The young man panicked, backing away even further as he struggled to defend himself.
"Leave me alone! If you do, I... I won’t tell anyone. I... I..."
But the figure merely scoffed, his expression completely indifferent.
"Too late."
