"Oh?" Grey raised an eyebrow with a smile as he sipped from his cup.

At that moment, with all the eyes fixed on him, June realized what he had just done. But it didn’t matter anymore. He’d have to roll with it.

Mr. and Mrs. En stared at each other before turning toward them and leaning closer.

"Tell us... what do you mean by that?" Mr. En inquired.

"Does that mean that the two of you...?"

June immediately snapped at them. "I’m already exhausted. I don’t want to talk..." He stared down at the meal before him, cutting Nyx a piece of meat and serving it onto his plate. "Don’t talk too much. Eat."

Nyx watched June serve him food and couldn’t help but smile. His ears turned red from what June had said earlier as he gently nodded and ate the meal June had served him.

Mrs. En shook her head, folding her arms. "Tsk, tsk, tsk... This kid is hiding a lot from us these days."

Mr. En nodded. "Definitely."

Grey smiled. "He’s old enough, so he can have his dating life in peace," he said teasingly, earning a cold glare from June.

"So tell us. When did all this happen?" Mrs. En inquired.

"It’s nothing. Stop asking," June muttered, shaking his head.

Mr. En sighed. "This kid... Never telling us anything."

He then turned to Nyx.

"So tell us, who made the first move?"

"Who liked the other first?"

"Have you kissed before?"

"Why do you like our boy?"

"Do you ever find him annoying?"

They threw Nyx into an endless stream of questions, leaving him unsure of what to say. Nyx sat there blinking and staring at them.

Grey smiled and shook his head. "You’re going to scare the boy off with all those questions. He’s still recovering. Let him eat."

"Oh." Mrs. En nodded with a smile. "Yes, yes. Eat first. We’ll talk later."

June couldn’t believe his situation. He simply ran a hand through his hair and rolled his eyes.

Nyx smiled and nodded. "Well... your son is a sweet soul. I think he’s really nice, so..." Nyx shyly said with a smile, staring down as he bit his lower lip. "And he’s also cute..."

Everyone was left speechless.

They stared at Nyx as though he were talking about someone else they didn’t know.

Grey and his parents stared at June before turning back to Nyx.

"Are you sure you mean him...?" Grey asked. "Sweet soul? Cute?"

Mrs. En blinked. "I think our son has used some witchcraft on the poor child."

"He really is talking about our little boy and not someone else, right?" Mr. En asked, genuinely confused.

June was speechless. "Hey, Mum, Dad, what do you mean? I can’t believe you all."

Mr. and Mrs. En smiled as they turned to June. "Don’t mind us at all... We’re just making sure."

Grey smiled. "Well, I guess love really is blind. He probably hasn’t seen the little devil in you yet."

June cast him a cold glare. "Shut up."

Nyx simply smiled and continued eating while they bickered.

Lucas, however, remained quiet, sitting there and staring at Nyx with a cold glare.

After a while, he leaned back and spoke.

"So..."

That single word was enough to make the atmosphere go quiet. All eyes turned toward him before following his cold gaze to Nyx.

"What do you like about him?" Lucas asked.

His tone was cold and dominating, as though he were interrogating a criminal.

"Oh..." Nyx stuttered. "I like everything about him..."

Lucas scoffed, folding his arms. "Not convincing enough."

June blinked. He couldn’t believe they were having this conversation as if he were getting married already or something. They weren’t even official!

"You should at least be sincere if you like him," Lucas said in a cold tone.

"You don’t have to ask him all those questions..." June tried to save Nyx from the awkward situation.

But Nyx interrupted him.

"I like everything about him... Meaning, I don’t need to find a particular reason to like him."

He stared at Lucas as he continued, "If I did pin my attraction to him on one thing, what happens when that fades? I’ll have to stop liking him then...?"

Nyx smiled as he continued, "I don’t want to. I want to like him because I’m most comfortable around him. Because he feels the most right... Because he is the only one I want to spend my time with."

Nyx continued, now staring intimately at June, their eyes locked.

"Maybe for the rest of my life, I’ll spend it outlining reasons for liking him in an unending notebook. But for now, let my reason be that I like getting to know him..."

There was silence as Grey cleared his throat. Mr. and Mrs. En found themselves smiling as they held onto each other.

They watched the scene as if they were watching one of their usual romance shows, and it tugged at their heartstrings in the best way possible.

Mrs. En smiled. "Come on, let the kids be. I’m already won over, and I’m on this ship till the end."

Mr. En nodded. "Me too. Me too... I’m so happy for my little boy for finding love. I was scared no one would like him with that personality. I guess anything is possible these days."

June was speechless. "Dad, what...?"

Mr. and Mrs. En smiled.

"We still love you, nevertheless."

Lucas still wore a firm, cold expression as he watched them. He remained silent for a while before slowly clearing his throat.

"If you hurt him, then I’ll make sure I send you somewhere worse than an anomaly dungeon. It’s a promise," Lucas insisted.

Grey smiled and shook his head. "So stiff."

Mrs. En sighed. "Since Lucas approves, then it’s settled! We should throw an engagement party while planning for a wedding soon."

"I also agree with this."

June couldn’t believe his ears as he stared at his parents.

"Mum! Dad!" he called.

They both stared at him with a smile.

"You can never be too prepared," Mrs. En said.
