"You monster..." Mr. Kevin muttered in pain as he struggled to move.

But then the last leopard approached from behind and kicked him in the back. The impact intensified the pain as Mr. Kevin spilled blood from his lips and found himself flying forward.

The audience cheered loudly as he flew through the exit door, entering a portal that led him out of the first stage while he was left a complete wreck.

[DING]

[FIRST STAGE FAILED MISERABLY]

[MOVING OVER TO THE SECOND STAGE]

As though struggling for air to breathe, Mr. Kevin’s eyes suddenly flipped open. He inhaled and exhaled aggressively while staring around his surroundings.

He was in space.

Or at least, it looked like space.

A cosmic atmosphere surrounded him, with stars and moons floating through the dark expanse, orbiting tiny planets in the distance. It was dark, with the stars illuminating the entire scene.

Mr. Kevin was confused, but he was also in extreme pain. The cuts and scratches from the beasts were still all over him, with blood dripping from his fresh injuries.

He could still feel every lingering pain from the injuries and beatings he had accumulated, both inside and outside his body. And as he looked around, he had an extremely bad feeling about this.

"What the fuck is this now...?" he asked as he floated through space.

[WELCOME TO THE SECOND STAGE]

Mr. Kevin didn’t know what pissed him off more—the control Nyx seemed to have over him or the casual, sarcastic tone he always used when delivering his messages.

It burned through his veins as he stared down from where he floated.

Below him was a portal. One he was sure led out of here. He just had to move down to get past this damn place. He wasn’t even interested in knowing or meeting whatever obstacle he had to face here.

"I swear I’ll kill you and your damn friends if I get out of here, you psychopath..." he muttered furiously through the pain as he struggled to move downward.

But he couldn’t.

Mr. Kevin couldn’t fly down. He couldn’t even move downward, as though something was stopping him. There was no gravity at all.

"How the fuck am I supposed to move down if...?" He struggled and struggled. "Is this part of your pathetic tricks?!"

[TSK TSK, YOU STILL HAVE THE STRENGTH TO TALK... I GUESS IT STILL HASN’T GOTTEN TO YOU YET]

Mr. Kevin ignored him and continued struggling to move down.

But he instantly felt a wave of air coming toward him.

"What is...?"

He turned to see what it was, and immediately caught sight of a massive tornado coming his way.

The tornado waved toward his direction, and no matter how he tried to dodge it, it swept him away.

The tornado took Mr. Kevin for a wild ride—literally.

It spun him around in the most aggressive manner, making him feel extremely dizzy and nauseous.

It didn’t stop for Mr. Kevin. Rather, it only became more aggressive before throwing him out and sending him crashing against a rock floating in the sky.

"Ah!"

Mr. Kevin shrieked in pain as he bounced off the rock.

But then, he was met with over a thousand rocks flying toward him in a flash.

Mr. Kevin’s eyes widened in shock as he struggled to turn and move away as fast as possible. But the rocks were faster.

They flew straight at him and smashed against his body.

Some crashed through his back, some struck his legs, some hit his hands, and some even smashed against his head.

They smashed all over his body as they passed.

Mr. Kevin stood there in pain. He couldn’t move as the pain crashed through him. He could only scream and cry through the excruciating agony.

"Ah..."

He struggled to feel his body as the stones disappeared into thin air. But as he turned and struggled to fly downward again, he suddenly saw fire.

Flames burned from below, all coming straight toward him.

"No... no, no, no!"

He screamed in pain as he moved his weak body, trying to float away, but it was almost useless. The flames brushed past him, making him feel like a piece of meat thrown into a fire.

"Ahhhh!"

Mr. Kevin screamed in pain as the flames consumed him, burning through his body for a while before finally disappearing into thin air.

But the damage was done.

Mr. Kevin was left in agony, with the fire having burned through his clothes and skin. His face was already scarred from the burns, and so was the rest of his body.

"Ah... ah..."

He shrieked in pain as he struggled to move his body, but the pain was so excruciating that he didn’t even know what to do.

"What’s... ah..."

He couldn’t even speak properly as he looked around.

Then came the rain.

Water washed over his body, flowing through his fresh injuries as he screamed at the top of his voice.

Pain washed through him with the water as he found himself naturally falling downward toward the portal door.

[TSK TSK TSK, STAGE TWO FAILED TERRIBLY AGAIN]

Mr. Kevin didn’t seem to care about what he was saying. The pain was too excruciating as he flew downward with the rain, finally washing into the portal door while screaming from the pain.

Soon, he opened his eyes with the same pain burning through his entire body.

He couldn’t even feel his body properly anymore. Everywhere hurt so badly that he felt death would be a better option than this grave torture.

But when he opened his eyes, the sight before him stunned him more than anything and left him in complete shock.

Because not only was he standing in an extremely familiar place, but he was also standing before someone who was extremely familiar.

Someone whom he never thought he’d see again in his life.

"Neol...?"

He found himself stuttering at the sight of the man standing before him.

Neol was indeed standing before him.

Nyx’s eldest brother—the very person whose death Mr. Kevin had caused.

And Neol stood firmly with his whole body burning in golden flames, a burning staff in his hands and his eyes glowing gold with flames.
