"Fire... did you see it?"

Dao Ruins spoke calmly to his silent heart.

"This, is my chosen, way of guarding."

There was no response from the Fire emblem.

Dao Ruins no longer paid it any mind.

He knew that from today onwards, his relationship with the Fire had completely changed.

He was no longer a "pawn" chosen by the Fire, but an independent "entity" standing at the same height, or even... subtly surpassing it.

He was Dao Ruins.

A living "Ruins of Dao" walking on the Sea of Realms Dam.

He stepped forward and continued to walk.

His figure remained solitary, remained indifferent.

Yet under his feet, every step taken made the eternally silent dam seem to subtly resonate with him.

...

At the same time.

On the other end of the Sea of Realms, in an indescribable, unobservable "Land of Truth."

Here, there is no time and space, no matter, only pure "will" and "concepts" interwoven.

Within an ancient stone hall that seemed to share longevity with "existence," several indistinct figures cloaked by supreme Dao charm sat quietly in meditation.

They were the true players in this endless Sea of Chaos.

Fire was merely a "Seed" they scattered across the heavens and myriad worlds.

Suddenly, one of the figures shrouded in nine-colored Divine Light shuddered slightly.

"Hm?"

An ancient, imposing voice rang out in the sea of concepts.

"My contingency left on ’Fire Zero Seven Three’... has been forcibly suppressed by an inexplicable Force."

Upon these words, the other figures in the stone hall directed their "gaze."

"Suppression?" A figure encased in endless Sword Intent questioned, "Has one of Gui Xu’s ’Demon Gods of Source’ awakened? No, even they could only taint the Fire, unable to ’suppress’ its source will."

"It’s not Gui Xu." The nine-colored Divine Light figure sounded puzzled, "That Force... is very strange. It possesses the ’termination’ intent of Gui Xu, yet contains the ’order’ principle of Fire. The two fused in an incomprehensible way... forming a higher-level ’concept.’

"A higher-level concept?"

The stone hall fell into prolonged silence.

They are beings standing at the pinnacle of all cosmos, their "Dao" nearly synonymous with "truth."

The occurrence of something they cannot "comprehend" has not happened for unknown eons.

"Who is that ’Fire Zero Seven Three’?" A figure seemingly composed of myriad stars slowly spoke.

The nine-colored Divine Light figure was silent for a moment, seemingly tracing something.

"It’s just a... very ordinary test subject. From a cosmos about to face Nirvana, selected and cast into the dam battlefield as a ’consumable’ for testing the new generation of ’Guardian’ models."

"Consumable..."

The stone hall fell silent again.

But this time, the atmosphere had grown somewhat solemn.

A pawn that should have been considered a "consumable," walked an incomprehensible step on the chessboard even to these players.

This is no longer an "accident."

This is a "variable!"

"Need... to erase him?" The Sword Intent figure spoke with an icy voice filled with pure slaughter intent, "Any variable beyond control could lead to the collapse of the entire plan."

"No."

The nine-colored Divine Light figure rejected this proposal.

"Let’s watch first."

His voice turned deep and distant.

"Our enemy is ’Gui Xu,’ is that ultimate ’nothing.’ To overcome it, we tried countless methods, created countless ’Dao’s, but all have been of little effect."

"Perhaps... we were wrong from the start."

"To counter ’nothing,’ it doesn’t necessarily have to be a stronger ’something.’"

"Perhaps..."

His gaze seemed to pierce through endless barriers and saw the solitary figure walking alone on the dam.

"It requires one who can understand ’something’ and also control ’nothing’... an ’anomaly.’

"This ’Dao Ruins,’ is very interesting."

"Let him continue walking then."

"I want to see, this piece that jumped off the board, how much... of a wave it can stir in this final chess game."

The stone hall returned to deathly silence.

As if nothing had happened.

And the figure walking alone on the dam knew none of this.

He only, step by step, surely, walked towards the next "error" that needed to be "corrected."

His path was still long.

And this endless barren Sea of Realms Dam, due to his presence, finally welcomed a touch of... change unseen for ages...

In the Sea of Realms Dam, deathly silence is the eternal theme.

Yet now, this ancient invariant silence was shattered.

Before the seventh thousand and one hundredth barrier, the region of "absolute blankness" created by Dao Ruins was slowly receding like a tide.

Thunder Lord and Wen Xi held their breath, their Divine Thought cautiously probing that area of "restored existence."

Nothing, there was nothing.

The Ten Thousand Dao Tomb as hideous as the ancient demon lairs, the Gui Xu pollution source leaving countless Guardian corpses scattered, the terrifying beyond words Ruins Spirit...

All vanished cleanly.

As if they had never appeared on this segment of the dam.

In their place was a "pristine" void that made hearts race; its space-time laws as smooth as a mirror without a crease. The sixteen thousand two hundredth barrier stood silently, still filled with ancient cracks, yet the deep "sickness" and "malice" attached to it was completely scraped away.

It was healed.

"Did he... succeed?" Thunder Lord’s voice was dry, with a tremor he hadn’t even realized.

He couldn’t comprehend, but he saw the result. A deadlock that left even him and Wen Xi feeling despair was unraveled by the solitary figure heading towards the Ten Thousand Dao Tomb in a manner beyond imagination.

Wen Xi did not reply, her complexion remained pale, but those breathtakingly beautiful eyes reflected deeper, more terrifying visions than Thunder Lord had seen.

Within her "embracing" Dao Perception, that area wasn’t empty.

A person stood there.

Or rather, a "concept."

He just stood there quietly, neither releasing any pressure nor revealing any aura. Yet the entire Sea of Realms Dam, this ultimate creation spanning endless eons, was resonating with him at an imperceptible frequency.

He seemed no longer a "passerby" on the dam but became a "part" of the dam, elevating to the same level of existence as these ancient barriers.

Wen Xi attempted to "understand" him, to "embrace" him.

Yet, when her Dao touched him for an instant, as if struck by lightning, she withdrew her Divine Thought, a hint of golden Divine Blood spilling from the corner of her mouth.

Her Dao Heart was in fierce turmoil!

"Do not perceive him!" She urgently told Thunder Lord, a voice filled with fear, "We... cannot comprehend his current state! Any attempt to analyze his behavior is an act of ’desecration!’"

"Desecration?" Thunder Lord was stunned.

This term usually applies to mortals gazing upon deities. Yet they themselves were beings at the pinnacle of Dao, revered like deities by billions. To make them feel "desecration," what kind of terrifying life level must it be?

At that moment, the figure moved.

He slowly turned around, and stepped deeper into the dam.

One step, two steps...

His steps were not fast, yet carried an indescribable "rhythm." Each step seemed to tread upon the pulse of time and space, the nodes of the myriad Dao.

Thunder Lord finally saw him clearly.
