Chapter 1201: Scarlet Terra (1)
What?
Everyone stared at Tang Jie in disbelief.
Was he joking? Was attaining Boundless Gold Immortal really that easy? A matter of a day and a night?
What sort of joke was this?
If it was that easy, then why did the Rosecloud Domain go so many years without even a True Immortal?
The path of the stars had expanded the Rosecloud Domain and given everyone a larger world, true.
But the world still needed time to grow into that space.
The Rosecloud Domain’s current environment might have been enough to create a Gold Immortal, but that would require tens of thousands of years of accumulation, and that was only for Immortal energy. After the accumulation phase was the evolutionary phase. Attaining Gold Immortal required obtaining the acknowledgment of the domain, and that was no minor feat.
Some people spent ten thousand years fruitlessly attempting to do so.
Tang Jie’s claim understandably startled the Immortals. But then they saw a grandiose energy emanating from his body.
This was the domineering will of a Supreme True Immortal. Even the Immortals felt an immense pressure from it, let alone the weaker cultivators. Thankfully, Yun Tianlan quickly expanded his aura to protect the cultivators down below. But Tang Jie was continuing to increase his aura, and as it grew stronger and stronger, the formation set up on the platform began to tremble.
It was only thanks to the formation that the cultivators were able to continue sensing Tang Jie’s terrifying energy. To their shock, Tang Jie’s will had become so vast and profound that even his fellow Immortals found it unfathomable. When they faced Tang Jie, they felt like mortals before a towering mountain.
Tang Jie’s aura was still expanding, spreading past the white jade platform and instantly covering the entire Rosecloud Domain.
Yes, “the entire domain”!
At this moment, every corner of the Rosecloud Domain was under Tang Jie’s will.
Everyone raised their heads to the heavens and prostrated in prayer.
His will was transmitted to each and every person, telling them that the demons had been defeated.
Although flying cultivators had already delivered this news all over the world, given the vastness of the world, informing everyone would still take a very long time. But with a single thought, Tang Jie had sent this news to every part of the world. No ordinary spell art or Divine Connection was capable of this.
The Immortals sensed what was happening through Tang Jie’s will, and they all shivered in unison.
Blossom Queen Ran Qing stood up and pointed at Tang Jie. “The will of the domain… You obtained the acknowledgment of the domain’s will! You attained Gold Immortal?”
Attained Gold Immortal!
Everyone was momentarily stunned by this news.
Just how long had it been since Tang Jie reached True Immortal? How had he reached Gold Immortal so quickly?
Tang Jie shook his head and smiled. “Not yet.”
Everyone sighed in relief. It wasn’t because they didn’t want him to achieve it. After all, those Immortals on extremely good terms would only be happier the greater the heights he achieved. But Tang Jie’s pace was too fast, putting pressure on everyone else.
But Tang Jie’s next words immediately put the pressure back on.
“But soon.”
Huang Wuji impatiently said, “Just what are you still missing?”
After some thought, Tang Jie answered, “Stabilization.”
Not comprehension or accumulation.
Tang Jie had comprehended domain cores back in his battle with the Rootless Tree Ancestor, and through the Eight Ocean Mountains, he was swiftly completing the accumulation phase. While they were talking, his cultivation had risen by another large chunk. Right before the battle, he had been close to the middle level, but now, he was essentially only a step away from the peak of True Immortal.
The only limitation for him was one that nobody else would ever encounter, a lack of stability from advancing too quickly.
He still needed some time to digest and absorb the powerful energy that had brought him this far, so he wouldn’t ascend to Gold Immortal for the time being. But given that he had already comprehended the domain core, there existed no barrier between him and Gold Immortal.
And if it really came down to it, he also had the Heavenly Dao Realm.
Thus, while others found reaching Gold Immortal excruciatingly difficult, it really was just a day and a night for Tang Jie.
As they were speaking, Tang Jie finished the last step and officially reached the peak of True Immortal.
At this point, Tang Jie stopped receiving the Immortal energy from the Eight Ocean Mountains, leaving only Yun Tianlan to accept it.
But Yun Tianlan digested it more slowly, and the Eight Ocean Mountains couldn’t just stop converting Immortal energy. There was simply no way Yun Tianlan would be able to take it all.
Yun Tianlan looked at Tang Jie, who understood and smiled. “Everyone made a contribution in this war, and it is time to reward your efforts. Please, everyone, accept it.”
With a wave of his hand, Immortal energy descended from the heavens, entering the bodies of every cultivator. Even those who had yet to reach Immortal Platform obtained a sliver of Immortal energy. This Immortal energy would give them a deeper understanding of Immortal Essence, which would help if they ever attempted to ascend to Immortal Platform in the future. But with their strength, they could only take on this tiny sliver.
As for the Immortals, their cultivation levels began to soar, much to their surprise and delight, and they began to thank Tang Jie for his generosity. These Immortals had only a rough understanding of the Eight Ocean Mountains’ functions, and only when they experienced its power for themselves did they understand how Tang Jie had made such speedy progress.
As for the fact that Tang Jie had enjoyed a monopoly on it previously, the Immortals had no objection. After all, Tang Jie and the Basking Moon Sect had made the greatest contribution toward this formation, and first getting a Gold Immortal to fend off the demons was much better than evenly distributing the Immortal energy. It was just that nobody had expected the demons to be defeated so quickly.
Given the great number of people involved, Tang Jie didn’t need to worry about the problem of digestion. He had the Eight Ocean Mountains work at full operation, and Immortal energy fell like rain, the Immortals greedily sucking up every drop, their strength subsequently swelling.
Finally, those drops of rain so dense with Immortal energy that they could enrich an entire region, that had come at the cost of the lives of millions of demons, came to an end under the eyes of the reluctant Immortals.
While sighing, the Immortals checked their condition.
Each of them had benefited richly from the Immortal rain, but all of them to varying degrees.
The True Immortals like Fairy Gu Ye and Blossom Queen Ran Qing were naturally able to absorb the most, but their relative improvement was actually the lowest. Their enormous requirements were not something so easily fulfilled by a single downpour. Even so, they had gone from the initial level of True Immortal to the minor attainment level.
Yun Tianlan, who had been enjoying the Immortal energy from the beginning, managed to reach the greater level of completion.
As for the Earth Immortals, most of them reached the middle level. Of them, Wang Juemie, Wang Posha, Xu Miaoran, and Yiyi all reached the greater level.
Wang Juemie achieved this because of the particular art he cultivated, which allowed him to absorb more Immortal energy than his peers. Wang Posha achieved it because he was the Child of Fate.
As for Xu Miaoran and Yiyi, it was because Tang Jie particularly favored his wife and little sister, using the Heavenly Dao Realm to help them digest more Immortal energy. This was rather extravagant and not even worth the cost, but Tang Jie felt like it was worth it.
The last group to benefit were the Violet Palace cultivators, who also made extraordinary progress. The likes of Qi Shaoming and Cai Junyang soared in strength, and it wouldn’t be long before they broke through.
The demon invasion had turned into a level-up party for the cultivators of the Rosecloud Domain. This was the power of the Eight Ocean Mountains, and everyone was delighted. Everyone was now looking forward to the future.
The invading demons had all perished, and even the contaminated soil had been restored by the Eight Ocean Mountains. Only that demon fortress remained.
Tang Jie had ordered for it to be preserved and for all cultivators to stay far away from it.
Its existence meant that Libido’s power was not officially extinguished. In addition, the spatial coordinates inherent to the fortress meant that the Primordial Fog demons could continue to come in through it.
This avoided opening a new battleground.
Tang Jie spent the following days stabilizing his foundation, just like a man who had stuffed his face taking time to digest everything.
This would last for around a year.
Tang Jie thought that not many demons would invade in this period, but to his surprise, just ten-some days after Libido’s defeat, a new demon army came in from the Primordial Fog Domain.
Bong!
With a massive spatial explosion, a new set of bronze Demon Gates opened.
A one-horned demon covered in blood-colored flames stepped out. As the sparks from its body fell to the ground, they melted the stone, the ground beneath its feet transforming into crystal. The axe in its hand was wreathed with black energy in which resentful souls writhed.
This was a powerful demon!
The demon looked around, and seeing that there was no sign of activity, it raised its axe and bellowed.
Mighty roars came from the gate, and more one-horned demons charged out of the gate.
These were the infamous Scarlet Flame Demons of the Primordial Fog Domain.
Following close behind them were large demons the color of coal, their bodies bearing a metallic luster. These were Smolder Iron Demons. Compared to Scarlet Flame Demons, Smolder Iron Demons were much more cool-headed, calmly emerging from the gates. Some of them were holding slabs of metal, which they took large bites from as if they were pieces of tofu.
A mighty army of demons marched out from the Demon Gate, bringing with them a searing heat and a wild killing intent.
Behind the demons were high-level devils, and then some devil chiefs, and finally, a savage-faced red elder, the Scarlet Terra Ancestor.
Escorted by four red-robed attendants, the Scarlet Terra Ancestor arrived in the demon fortress.
Looking around, he said in surprise, “Where are the other demons? Why don’t I see anyone?”
