Aspiring to the Immortal Path

The Rosecloud Domain.

A magnificent celebration banquet was taking place.

Only twelve days after the last feast, the humans were celebrating another glorious victory, something unimaginable for most people.

Above Heavenweave Ridge, countless cultivators were celebrating in their own way: composing poems, singing, dancing, or simply using spell arts or Divine Connections to amuse and delight.

Spell arts filled the heavens, but for entertainment, not war.

High above them floated a platform of white jade, with a diameter of a hundred kilometers. Upon it were pavilions, fountains and beautiful palaces.

In the center of the jade platform were seated Tang Jie, Yun Tianlan, Fairy Gu Ye, and all the other Immortals. But unlike before, Tang Jie was seated at the head position.

This signified that after this war, Tang Jie had officially replaced Yun Tianlan as the Rosecloud Domain’s paramount leader.

This was only a matter of time. When Tang Jie advanced to True Immortal, his strength had officially surpassed Yun Tianlan’s. It was only out of respect for Yun Tianlan’s seniority that he remained leader.

In this war, Tang Jie had made an enormous contribution, and as he drove away the demons, he officially succeeded Yun Tianlan’s position.

Today’s feast was to celebrate the victory and also welcome the new leader of their planet.

On the white jade platform, music played, breezes blew, and a group of Immortal cranes were performing a dance, shifting between graceful ladies dressed in rainbow gowns and their crane forms, their dance both elegant and noble.

Seated on his throne, Tang Jie seemed to be enjoying the performance, but in reality, he was growing stronger through the Eight Ocean Mountains.

Many demons had died in the battle during the day, and once they died, their demonic energy was purified by the Eight Ocean Mountains, the excess energy being converted into Immortal energy and transferred to Tang Jie.

In other words, the formation processed the demonic energy and passed on the refined product to Tang Jie.

Much of the energy was lost in the refining process, and a portion of the remainder was left to the domain so as to increase the world’s energy. Thus, in reality, Tang Jie retained only an extremely small part of the demonic energy, but given the vast numbers of demons that had died, this still represented an enormous amount of Immortal energy.

This pure Immortal energy rapidly increased Tang Jie’s cultivation level.

Going from True Immortal to Gold Immortal required unimaginable amounts of Immortal energy. If attempting to gather this energy through cultivation, several thousand years might not be enough, but thanks to the Eight Ocean Mountains, Tang Jie was making speedy and very obvious progress. If one considered the ascent from True Immortal to Gold Immortal as a mountain ten thousand kilometers high, then others were only ascending ten meters a day while Tang Jie was ascending by an entire kilometer.

The flood of energy rushing into his body was so great Tang Jie almost couldn’t endure, so he had to furtively activate the Heavenly Dao Realm so that he could digest it properly. The upper platform was where the Immortals gathered, and below them were the seats for the sect masters and elders, the weakest being at Violet Palace.

Compared to the laughter down below, the platform where the greatest existences of the Rosecloud Domain sat was much quieter. The attendees either enjoyed the performance or quietly chatted with each other, occasionally shooting reverential glances at Tang Jie.

After the crane dance concluded, another dancing troupe went up. This one consisted entirely of female cultivators, and though they all had low cultivation, they cultivated spell arts entirely focused on amusement. Their leader, the Rainbow Fairy, was a famous dancing cultivator of the Rosecloud Domain, and it was said that many people found it an honor if they could witness one of her performances.

As the Rainbow Fairy stepped onto the stage, her elegant figure began to appear across the entire platform. She was an expert in the Dao of Water, so her dancing was infused with its grace. Everyone agreed.

Yun Tianlan had led Rosecloud for several hundred years yet had never been called Domain Lord. At best, he could simply be called the eldest.

A voice said, “According to custom, one must attain Boundless to be called a Domain Lord…”
