Chapter 1163: The Rebirth of the Court (1)
“Aaaargh!” Yu Cheng threw his head back and howled in pain. Despite his formidable strength, he still felt immense pain from this blow, as if his entire body was being torn apart.
A figure shot over and, with a wave of their hand, tore a fissure through the sky.
Such formidable Space power!
“Hurry and go!” a woman called out.
“IImmortal Ji Yao!” Yu Cheng called out in disbelief.
The surprise assailant was none other than Immortal Ji Yao.
Only she possessed such control over Space that she could tear through Yu Cheng’s seal.
Immortal Ji Yao laughed. “Yu Cheng, this is my gift to you, in return for the ten thousand years you had me sealed!”
She immediately fled into the spatial fissure.
Behind her were the Illusory Demoness and Godhead Guangfa.“You’re not getting away!” Warheaven Wolf howled, firing off ten Sacred War Seals. These war seals were made from Warheaven’s Wolf will to fight, imbued with his formidable resolve. As they slammed into Wu Antian, they actually sent him flying.
The Sage Mother cast out a red band of silk.
This delicate bolt of silk was infused with the profound power of the Great Dao.
This was another means the Sage Mother had of using the Dao of Karma, linking herself to another and preventing both of them from moving. This was what she had used to bind Gu Daocheng and force him to helplessly watch as he died. Now, it was Wandering Ferry who suffered.
The red band wrapped around Wandering Ferry’s foot and held him back.
“NO!” Wandering Ferry cried out in terror and despair as ten-some True Immortals barraged him with attacks.
Yu Cheng also wanted to intercept the Ageless Child, but alas, at this moment, the Three Sages Ancestor struck again, bringing down a majestic power. But this time, it was aimed at Yu Cheng’s ten-some True Immortal subordinates.
If it had been targeted at him, Yu Cheng could have simply relied on his tough body to take the blow, but he couldn’t just stand back and watch as his subordinates were attacked. Given the Three Sages Ancestor’s power, it would be a miracle if even half of those thirteen True Immortals survived.
Yu Cheng was forced to turn his sword around and stab it at the palm, neutralizing ninety percent of the Three Sages Ancestor’s power so that the remainder no longer posed a threat.
The Ageless Child seized this chance to escape through the spatial fissure, and Yu Cheng knew that there was no catching him. He grunted, “If I can’t kill you completely, you at least have to leave half of yourself behind!”
He used Law Speaking to say these words, infusing them with the power of Fate and Karma. Thus, as they fell in the Ageless Child’s ears, they seemed to be the truth of the world, the will of the Heavenly Dao. His entire body shuddered as an immense strength erupted within him.
“Aaaah!” he yelled as he fell into the fissure, leaving behind a cloud of blood as he vanished.
While the Ageless Child had seemingly escaped, only the Ageless Child knew that the attack just now had destroyed the Fate Binding he was so proud of.
From now on, he had nothing to do with the Dao of Fate, and his strength had been greatly weakened!
With the Ageless Child’s escape, the Three Sages Ancestor also withdrew. “You win, this time.”
The Three Sages Ancestor seemed not at all angered or disappointed, that majestic figure dissipating as if it had never existed.
Yet Yu Cheng was rather ashen in complexion. His original plan was meant to take down all the Boundless Gold Immortals, dealing his foes a painful blow, but in the end, he had killed three and let another three escape.
“Ruined!” Yu Cheng snarled. “I really didn’t think that she would come in and mess everything up.”
Having inherited Tang Jie’s memories, Yu Cheng naturally knew what Immortal Ji Yao had been through, but he hadn’t expected her to follow him back.
But now that he thought about it, this was probably no coincidence, just another arrangement of the Heavenly Dao.
While the Heavenly Dao had no human mind, it could still alter the tides of fortune. If he himself weren’t proficient in Fate and able to resist so much of it, it might not have been only Immortal Ji Yao who showed up.
Looking up at the sky, Yu Cheng muttered, “You didn’t succeed this time, so next time will be even more difficult.”
He was weakest right at his moment of revival, having to deal with Tang Jie’s counter-possession and then the teleportation interception. But as time passed, the Heavenly Dao would find it harder and harder to hinder him, and now that his subordinates had returned, the Heavenly Dao would find the task even more difficult.
One could say that Yu Cheng had already overcome the most challenging phase, and now it was time to reestablish the court.
He turned to see his former subordinates arrayed before him, and in the distance, more of them were gathering.
Each one of them was loyal to him, and they had experienced ten thousand years of hibernation and grown stronger, endowed with greater potential. Earth Immortals had become True Immortals, and True Immortals had become Gold Immortals. Each one of them was a vital foundation stone for his new court.
He smiled.
“Finally, we meet again. Thank you all for your efforts.”
These simple words almost brought everyone to tears.
After ten thousand years of slumber and another twenty-some years of waiting, they had finally been reunited with their revered Immortal Emperor. It was just that they had been swept up into the battle before they could talk. Now, there was finally a moment to properly greet them.
It was a simple greeting, but it fulfilled a promise of ten thousand years.
Everyone became excited, fervor in their eyes, anticipation for the future.
Yu Cheng understood their thoughts. He walked over and patted Warheaven Wolf on the shoulder, and then he did the same for the others, greeting them all. It was simple conversation, but it closed the distance created by ten thousand years. It had to be said that Yu Cheng not only possessed formidable strength, but also a unique charm.
In this process, more people arrived, and by now, this area of the sky that was still recovering from the battle that had taken place was now a gathering of peak Immortal cultivators. Any other passing cultivator was bound to be scared out of their wits, and most people couldn’t even approach it. The aura exuded by these cultivators made Wangxiu Mountain a no-man’s land for ordinary cultivators. Their breathing alone created a storm of energy that nobody could endure.
“Your Majesty, this land cannot endure our presence. Let us speak elsewhere.” Scarlet Pine had already noticed the disadvantage to too many cultivators gathering here. If this continued, the Celestial Frost Sect would be slaughtered simply by their presence.
Although the people of the Celestial Frost Sect weren’t of any use, it was still a sect he had established, that he had guarded for ten thousand years. Scarlet Pine couldn’t just watch and let them die meaningless deaths.
Yu Cheng calmly said, “It is time to leave.”
Scarlet Pine bowed. “Then I invite Your Majesty and my Immortal friends to this lowly subject’s Scarlet Pine Paradise. Though it is a little small, it is barely enough to hold us all.”
Yu Cheng shook his head. “We’re not going there.”
“You’re not? Then where?” Scarlet Pine was taken aback.
Yu Cheng silently looked up.
The Astral Winds gusted in the rainbow sky.
Yu Cheng said nothing, but everyone knew what lay within the Astral Winds.
The Court of Myriad Domains!
All the Immortals were taken aback.
Warheaven Wolf was the first to speak. “Your Majesty, you mustn’t! The weakening period of the Astral Winds has already passed, and the ruins of the court are engulfed within them. Moreover, the formation has fused with the Astral Winds and can no longer be controlled…”
“I know,” Yu Cheng coolly said.
He naturally knew the court’s situation. When the Astral Wind weakening period had passed and with the formation still active, even a Gold Immortal did not dare to enter.
But who was he?
He was Yu Cheng!
The master and founder of the Court of Myriad Domains!
What others regarded as an impassable wall was an open road to him!
One could say that he had even arranged for the Court of Myriad Domains to fall here, or else how could it have been such a coincidence?
Now, he wanted to rebuild this court and restore his supreme glory!
Yu Cheng flew upward into the Astral Winds.
Those bone-melting Metal Winds, keening Yin Winds, haunting Ghost Winds, corroding Black Winds… they were nothing in his eyes.
Yu Cheng made no attempt to evade those lethal Astral Winds as they approached. He simply charged in, and the Astral Winds backed away.
Yes, the Astral Winds backed away at his approach!
For he was the Immortal Emperor, supreme and unparalleled, ruler of the Stellar Chiliocosm and the myriad God Immortals, founder of the heavenly court!
These Astral Winds were his creation, his slaves!!!
If this fact were made known to anyone else, their teeth would probably fall out in shock.
He flew right on through, passing through that apparent forbidden zone and arriving in those majestic ruins.
As he gazed at that vast palace complex, his eyes flashed with excitement.
“After more than ten thousand years, I have finally returned! Court of Myriad Domains, answer my call!”
As he spoke, the shattered palace erupted in light, and an earth-shaking roar arose from the ruins.
The image of a savage beast manifested over the Court of Myriad Domains.
A Ning Beast!!!
It turned out that there was a domain migration formation hidden beneath the Court of Myriad Domains. Anyone able to see through illusions would find that the core of this formation was within the Immortal Emperor’s tomb. Alas, Tang Jie had failed to discover this secret, or else he would have been able to take the entire court as his. As for the Bejeweled Star Lord, he had been the guardian of this formation.
As the Ning Beast howled, the Court of Myriad Domains began to rise higher and higher, gradually breaking out of the Astral Wind region and entering the endless void, as if it was a world all on its own.
The Court of Myriad Domains had returned!
