Chapter 252. Two wars, one conductor

Adams Secret Sect.

Adams Vormor was currently seated at a beach.

The evening breeze brushed past his clothes, causing his clothes to flutter.

"The weather is really nice this evening," Adams Vormor said.

Suddenly, several alarms went off all over the Adams Secret Sect.

"What’s going on?" Vormor said.

His phone buzzed. He took it out and answered the call.

"Grandfather... the sect... the sect is under..."

Suddenly, Deticia’s voice went silent.

"Deticia? Hello... are you there... granddaughter... shit." Adams Vormor knew what had happened. His granddaughter was most likely dead. Someone had attacked the sect?

Who would dare to launch an attack on a secret sect founded by a legendary Rank 4 warrior, someone ranked 97 on the Tyrant Fate Rankings?

A pair of gauntlets appeared around his thick arms.

He floated on the air without any affinity support or aerial maneuvering. After all, he was a Rank 4 warrior. He shot towards the Adams Secret Sect.

When he arrived in the sect, he saw an army of several Rank 4 warriors clad in different battlesuits.

Leading them was Sect Leader Halberd.

A large trident with water washing across it was in his hand. His eyes were full of maddened rage as he unleashed one tyrannical water attack after another.

Adams Vormor saw destruction everywhere.

Most of his Rank 3 warriors, including his granddaughter, were dead. Blood had filled the regions of the sect. Bodies were impaled at unnatural angles.

Deticia’s head was in Halberd’s hand.

Her body was nowhere to be found.

"You dare kill my heir and my sect members without a justifiable reason, Halberd? Have we not been peaceful with each other all these years? What the fuck is the meaning of this?" Large rocks covered Vormor’s body. He looked like someone covered in some sort of golem giant. His figure was very domineering and tyrannical.

His figure shot towards Halberd like a cannonball.

Halberd waved his trident. A water dragon construct formed from the streaks of water circling around it. The water dragon shot towards Vormor, covered in the rocks.

The water dragon and Vormor crashed into each other.

The water dragon disintegrated. Vormor somersaulted backwards and stabilised himself.

"Peace?" Halberd said. "I’m having a live broadcast now. The whole of Endra is watching this. You slaughtered my wife, my daughter and my grandchildren... and you expect me to be fine??? And not take revenge?"

"What the hell are you talking about?" Vormor said.

"Look at this."

A holographic screen appeared.

Vormor looked at the screen.

The whole of Endra was also watching, completely confused.

Two legendary Rank 4 warriors were clashing?

And they were secret sects?

When was the last time something like this happened?

What sort of catastrophe would ensue if they clashed.

Several Rank 3 warriors of the Halberd Secret Sect were recorded in surveillance footage. They were going about their normal business in the sect, when they suddenly fell down and died.

No wounds. No signs of poisoning. No marks of any attacks. Nothing.

Even Halberd’s wife, children and grandchildren died.

That was no proof that Adams Vormor was behind it, right?

Those watching the stream thought.

Until a red writing appeared on the ground.

[This is for what you did to my son and daughter in law several years ago]

"We are the only two people on the planet who know about this incident! How the fuck do you expect me to believe that someone else is behind this attack?" Halberd said.

Vormor chuckled at the absurdity of the situation.

"My son and daughter in law perished in an accident several years ago during an expedition to support your sect. If I wanted to blame you for that, I would have done that a long time ago. But you are right. We are the only two people who know about the incident. That can only mean one thing. You want to get rid of me so badly that you killed your own descendants and sect members, to incite a justifiable reason to attack me and take my sect resources for yourself, right? I won’t entertain you." Adams floated towards Halberd in his golem like construct.

"The moment you killed my heir, you were a dead man, Halberd," Adams said.

"If you are so shameless that you won’t admit what you did, then I won’t leave here until you and your sect is completely destroyed," Halberd said.

"Warriors of the Adams Secret Sect, show them what we are made of."

"Members of the Halberd Secret Sect, kill!"

The two sides clashed into each other.

Heaven turning and earth shattering attacks shook the place. It was catastrophic. The streaming sites were overloaded. And Endra was silent.

Respendant affinity lights flashed across several screens.

The whole of Endra was watching this.

Silence had spread across the northern, eastern, southern and western continent.

Suddenly, another stream went live.

The Nova Secret Sect and the Ninehail Secret Sect were also having a fullscale war at the same time.

Apparently, the Ninehail Secret Sect had killed all the legendary Rank 3 warriors of the Nova Secret Sect over a feud which happened 300 years ago.

The Nova Secret Sect retaliated naturally by launching a fullscale attack on the Ninehail Secret Sect.

The Ninehail Secret Sect leader retaliated in kind, claiming the Nova Secret Sect was accusing them of something they didn’t do.

What the hell had come over these secret sects?

The International Union, however, remained silent over this conflict. This was not something they would interfere with. The conflict did not endanger the well being of Endra. It was also between reclusive sects after all.

Aiden watched calmly from his bench.

He wiped his mouth with a tissue after finishing his noodles.

"Good thing Cosmo knew about what happened to his parents during the expedition with the Halberd Secret Sect years ago. Had he not overheard the conversation his grandfather was having with Halberd at the time, I would have had to find another way to move the pieces on the board," Aiden thought.

Shortly before he moved the Adams Secret Sect and the Halberd Secret Sect against each other, he contacted Cosmo about information about his parents. Aiden had noticed during earlier conversations that Cosmo only mentioned his grandfather and never mentioned his parents.

He figured there must have been some history there.

And he was right...

He engineered that information after killing the rank 3 warriors of the Halberd Secret Sect to manipulate situations to get this outcome...

"Let’s observe the situation for a while. At this rate, they will end up killing each other.

When the four sect leaders are on their last legs, I will need to make a public appearance on the stream to announce myself as the person behind the plan, in order to weaponise fear to deter assassination attempts against me and my loved ones. Only the Paranormal Liberation Order will keep sending assassins after me after that," Aiden thought.
