Elonia knew about the Sacred Realm, and her family also knew. They had tried to get access to the Sacred Realm, but it was not easy to do. The people in the Sacred Realm were secluded after the great war. The only merchant faction that could make a connection to the Sacred Realm was the Little-Rock Emporium. That was one of the Cladeos Emporium’s biggest rivals in the business.

The moment the Sacred Realm was mentioned, Elonia could not hide her excitement. If her parents were here, they would scold her for doing so. It was basically the same as telling her opponent how much she wanted this connection to the Sacred Realm.

“This might be a bigger deal than I can handle, and we agree to talk about this on another occasion, right? I need someone above me to handle this matter.”

Elonia wanted to establish a good relationship and decided to be honest about the value of the Tang Empire’s offer. The Exclusive right and that Void Poison were her limit already. The potential of establishing the Cladeos Emporium in the Sacred Realm was way out of her authority.

“But are you sure about giving us access to the Sacred Realm? Wouldn’t it jeopardize your position as Administrator?”

She thought Tang Shaoyang was using his authority to get access to the Sacred Realm. It was easy for an Executive Administrator to get that access. However, from what she knew about the administrator, they were not allowed to use their privilege to enrich themselves. That was considered corruption, and she was worried Tang Shaoyang’s position would be shaky.

“What do you mean?” Tang Shaoyang was confused, “Why would I jeopardize my position for access to the Sacred Realm?”

It took him a while to understand what Elonia meant. He waved his hand at her, “No worry. I have someone who will guide me to the Sacred Realm. I am not abusing my privilege to benefit my own faction.”

Elonia was relieved to hear that, and so was Li Shuang. She was afraid that her husband would be involved in shady business.

“250 million once… 250 million twice…”

Meanwhile, the old man on the platform was about to count down for the Void Specter Snake. Then the second VIP box lit up, and a number flashed below the window.

“The second VIP raises it to 260 million! Is there any higher bid for our Void Specter Snake?”

“OOOHHH! Gentleman with number 47, make your bid!”

Someone from the public seat raised their sign number and voiced their bid, “265 million!”

Before the host could respond to it, the second VIP box lit up again.

“Whoa! The second VIP immediately outbid the gentleman with number 47! It’s 300 million now! It’s 300 million! Is anyone willing to raise the number?”

“300 million once…” The old man gave a pause as he began the countdown, hoping someone would bid higher, “300 million twice… 300 million thrice! Congratulations to the second VIP on getting our first item for the night!”

The female host clapped, giving a flirtatious smile to the second VIP box.

“As usual, you can pay through our attendant in your box if you want us to deliver the Void Specter Snake right away. Or we can finish the deal later after the auction.”

The female called an assistant and brought the cart back to the backstage. The Void Specter Snake started at 50 million, and it was sold for 300 million. The people who bought the item were most likely the Alchemist Faction that wanted to create the remedy for Void Poison, or the Alchemist Faction that wanted to mass-produce the Void Poison.

It was rare for an owner of a menagerie to buy it because of how difficult it was to take care of it, and it lived in an extreme habitat as well. Azhug was relieved that his Boss or his Lady Bosses were not interested in the snake.

“It’s quite exciting for the first item,” The old man sounded genuinely excited. He was excited because it managed to raise his expectations. The market price for the Void Specter Snake was 150 million, and he doubled the price, meaning more commission for him.

“Since the first item is a battle-type Beast Spirit, we will reveal our first non-battle Beast Spirit for the night!”

This time, they had an attendant who brought the cart instead of the female host. The cart stopped next to the female host, and the two hosts exchanged glances.

“Our first Beast Spirit is known for its venom, but our second Beast Spirit is known to bring luck to its owner!”

The two hosts nodded together, “Our second Beast Spirit is Auspicious Mytherean!” The female host pulled the black cloth at the same time as the old man announced it.

“It’s Aella! It’s Aella!”

Tang Xiulan, Li Jiaying, and Li Yue called out at the same time. Of course, it was not Aella, but they were awfully similar. The difference was their tails. Aella had a longer tail, and this one was a bundle tail. The Auspicious Mytherean looked displeased being caged, and everyone knew the reason why. This one was the royalty of the Beast Spirit.

The people in the public seats broke into discussion, but it was less noisy compared to when the Void Specter Snake was introduced, and it still attracted attention.

Azhug stood up from his seat and whispered something to Tang Shaoyang.

“It’s male Auspicious Mytherean, Boss. If you are interested, we can match this one with Aella to breed them.”

The Druid did not ask his Boss to make a bid for it, but he made sure the Boss knew what he could do with this additional Auspicious Mytherean.

“It seems like everyone already knows about the Auspicious Mytherean, so I don’t need to explain it anymore. The starting price is 30 million, and the minimum raise is 1 million per bid. You can start the bid for our—”

His voice was cut off because someone from the public seat raised their sign and made a bid.

“The gentleman number 89 made a 32 million bid. Is there anyone interested in—” He had not finished speaking as someone else raised their sign. The bid war started.

“So, how do I make a bid here?” Tang Shaoyang asked Elonia. She was so busy talking about her proposal that she forgot to tell them how to make the bid.

“Ah, yeah. I am sorry about that. I forgot to tell you how to make the bid. You can say “Bid”, and a screen will show. You just need to enter the number.”

“Bid!” Tang Shaoyang said it right away, and sure enough, a screen popped out. His wives were interested and got closer to him. Li Shuang was certainly the one who was most interested.

The bidding war was now between three people: Tang Shaoyang, the people from the sixth VIP box, and the people from the first VIP box. Elonia knew who those people were, but she was not going to break her own rule by telling Tang Shaoyang who they were.

“What’s the Auspicious Mytherean’s market price, Azhug?” Li Shuang asked as the bid war continued.

“The market price is around 70-80 million, but sometimes people sell it at 100 million. The last Auspicious Mytherean sold in the market is at 120 million. The problem is, no one sells Auspicious Mytherean in the market,” Azhug was ready with the question and explained.

He wanted to tell his Boss not to buy it if it was over 150 million. He didn’t have the courage to say it to his Boss.

“What’s the reasonable price for us?” Li Shuang asked while keeping a check on Tang Shaoyang, making sure her husband did not overbid. Her sharp eyes made her husband behave.

“If we are in business and planning to sell the kitten, we should take it even if it’s 250 million. The one in the auction is a male Auspicious Mytherean, and Aela is female. We can breed them; eventually, we will reap the profit. But if we don’t plan on selling them, we should give up at 150 million.”

The Ogre was happy that Lady Li Shuang asked him. Or else, he had no way to express his opinion as an expert. That money was better used to create a better inhabitant than buying the actual Beast Spirits.

“How do you know it’s male? The host didn’t mention it in his announcement,” Li Shuang was sharp and remembered everything despite having a serious discussion with Elonia.

“The tail. The female Auspicious Mytherean has a long tail, and the male Auspicious Mytherean has a bundle-like tail.”

The old man expected the bid to be around 120 to 130 million. If this continued, the price might reach 200 million.

“Our Special Guest just raised 150 million! It’s 150 million now!” The old man turned toward the first VIP box because it was a bidding war between those three. He was disappointed that the first VIP box did not make another bid, but the sixth VIP box flashed.

“Our sixth VIP raised it to 155 million! It’s 155 million!”

Tang Shaoyang was annoyed by the arduous bidding process. If not for Li Shuang, he would just slam at a price he could afford and be done with it. He glanced at her wife, and she seemed in deep thought, thinking whether they should continue or not. While she was distracted, he took this chance to put in his bid.

“WOAH! Our Special Guest made a 200 million bid! It’s 200 million now!”

The old man turned toward the sixth VIP box with his hopeful gaze. He waited for another bid, but it never came. He was a little bit disappointed, but in general, he was more than satisfied. It was more than the expected price in his head, meaning more commission for him.
