Chapter 2040: Void Specter Snake

The connection with the Executive Administrator would elevate her position in her family. Her family would understand there was a price to make it happen, but it must be an appropriate price. They were a merchant family; they made a deal to make a profit, not to suffer loss.

“Let’s do that, but I will give my answer for your first offer about our exclusive dealing. If that’s your offer, then we can’t give you an exclusive right to do business in our territory.”

Li Shuang was talking about the five percent off for purchasing, and a ten percent higher price for selling. She could not agree with the offer, and she made Elonia aware of that before their next meeting.

“I understand. I will come with a better offer next,” As she said that, she turned toward the platform where the music started to quiet down.

“Let’s focus on the auction, shall we?”

There was no brochure or anything that told the attendees what kind of Beast Spirits would be put in the auction.

“We purposely keep it secret for the fun of the auction. We have prepared 20 Beast Spirits for the auction; some of them are put in a pair, there are two that are put as a family, and the rest are single Beast Spirits.”

Elonia flicked her finger, and the couch moved forward slowly, getting the seat closer to the window. The performers were leaving the platform, and a pair of hosts came out from the back of the stage. It was a white haired man with slight wrinkles around his eyes, yet he maintained the vigor and the sharpness in his eyes.

The second host was a red-haired woman with a V-neck black dress, revealing her voluptuous chest and bouncy butts. Elonia secretly glanced toward Tang Shaoyang. She thought maybe Tang Shaoyang was quite a womanizer for him to have so many wives. Maybe the Cladeos Emporium could tie the connection even closer by giving him one of the Cladeos’ main descendants.

To her surprise, Tang Shaoyang was playing with her youngest daughter. He pulled his daughter from the window, then the cheerful laughter rang in the room. She thought she would hate the noisy children; to her surprise, the atmosphere was comforting.

’Maybe because she is an Executive Administrator’s daughter that I can tolerate it?’ The thought appeared in her mind.

Above the platform was a giant screen, showing the pair of hosts. That would be used to showcase the item later on, to get a closer look at the item.

The two hosts started with the greetings, especially giving a welcome for the VIP guests. Of course, they did not leak the identity of the VIP guests, and most of the attendees covered their faces with masks.

“I can tell you are bored watching this old man blabbering on the stage. Let’s start with the first item for tonight’s auction,” The old man turned toward the female host, “Can you get them, honey?”

“Of course~” The female host turned around, showing her voluptuous butts, shaking as she walked to the back of the platform.

Less than a minute later, the female host returned with a card and a cage on top of it, covered by a black cloth.

“Our first Beast Spirit is a battle-type, and it’s known for its venom,” The female host brought the cart next to the old man. The old man glanced toward the female host, and both nodded together. They pulled the black cloth and revealed what was inside.

It was a glass cage with a small dried tree inside, and there they saw the creature, a black snake, coiling around the trees.

“It’s Void Specter Snake!”

“As its name implies, the Void Specter Snake can produce Void Poison, and I am sure we know how fatal Void Poison is. Of course, we also know how good he is in a fight. It might not be a fighter, but its stealthy ability and supersonic speed launch made this one perfect for an ambush. To capture this one, the Cladeos Emporium lost three hunters.”

A clamor broke out in the public seats. It seemed like this one was a big deal. Meanwhile, Elonia secretly watched Tang Shaoyang and his family’s reaction. Again, they showed no interest in the first item. Even Tang Shaoyang showed no interest in the Void Specter Snake.

She was genuinely surprised because this snake was a prized Beast Spirit for the Shepherd of Beast Spirit class. Through the Beast Spirit Fusion, the user would gain this Void Poison that was extremely useful. The antidote for the Void Poison was beyond rare. It was not sold to the public; only the big factions had those remedies.

“Aren’t you interested in the Void Specter Snake? While it has less combat ability, its value is in its poison. Only the big factions have the cure for Void Poison, and the Void Specter Snake is just one of the Beast Spirits that can produce the Void Poison.”

Elonia could not hold her curiosity and asked Tang Shaoyang. She expected a reaction from him, but the one who reacted was the Prime Minister. Lady Li Shuang was surprised to hear that from her.

“Oh, really? This is interesting, isn’t it? Our Chief Alchemist already made the antidote for the Void Poison under His Majesty’s request. We—”

“You made it!?” Elonia could no longer keep her composure upon hearing that. She grabbed Li Shuang’s arms, but then she realized how rude she was, and she immediately released her grip.

She cleared her throat to discard the awkwardness, regaining her composure, but it quickly cracked again, considering the topic, “Did you guys really make the antidote for Void Poison?”

Li Shuang smiled, a smile that said: “I got you!” while nodding, “Yes. His Majesty requested our Chief Alchemist to make the antidote for his administrator’s team members because they often clashed with the calamity. Our Chief Alchemist succeeded a few months back then.”

The gears in Elonia’s head started moving, realizing the deal between the Cladeos Emporium and the Tang Empire might be bigger than she thought, more than just an investment for the new Executive Administrator.

“Our Chief Alchemist made it work, but he is dissatisfied with how slow the antidote works. It took three days to clear the Void Poison, and he is working to cut it further. I think they have made progress, and it only takes one day to cure the poison. But our Chief Alchemist is still not satisfied with the result. He is still working on it, and he mentioned he might be able to cut it to one hour in a few months.”

Li Shuang did not miss the chance and threw the bait. She was telling Elonia that she had better come up with a much better deal if the Cladeos Emporium wants an exclusive right.

“And I can add one more benefit for your emporium, a new market for you to expand,” Tang Shaoyang chimed in.

Li Shuang and Elonia turned toward Tang Shaoyang, wondering what he meant by that. “How big are we talking?” Elonia was certainly interested in a new market.

“I believe you didn’t mention this realm before, a place called Sacred Realm. Are you interested?”
