Are There Only Demonesses Left in the Cultivation Realm?
Chapter 155 - 119: Qiu Yuehan Wants to Learn Swordsmanship
Chapter 155: Chapter 119: Qiu Yuehan Wants to Learn Swordsmanship
The snow is heavy again this year. Maybe next year will bring a good harvest... Snow is always a good thing.
Lu Changyuan reined in his chaotic thoughts. The Red-clothed Sword Immortal’s words drifted in and out of focus: "Then, about this year’s plain noodle soup..."
In the past, when Lu Changyuan was at the Daoist Sect for the Celestial Mountain Demon Suppression, a bowl of plain noodle soup was an indispensable part of his New Year’s meal.
Of course, it didn’t matter what the other sect members ate. They could eat whatever they liked. It was just that he himself had to have it... and his apprentice, too.
The Daoist Sect Master hadn’t lived a good life with the Chang’an Daoist.
What a sin.
"The usual."
The Little Fairy in a White Skirt whispered in Lu Changyuan’s ear in an extremely clingy voice, "Young Master, why do you like plain noodle soup so much? It was like this at Noodle Granny’s, and it’s still like this now. Are you perhaps commemorating someone?"
The Little Fairy in a White Skirt had guessed it.
Lu Changyuan reached out and pinched Xia Lianxue’s cheek. It was wonderfully soft, like cotton. "I didn’t have money before, so I could only eat plain noodle soup. I ate it so much I got used to it."
The Little Fairy let out a disappointed "Oh," not noticing that Lu Changyuan hadn’t denied that he was commemorating someone.
That was because Lu Changyuan hadn’t told the whole story.
When Lu Changyuan said he had no money, he wasn’t talking about his time as a Physician. He was actually referring to when he was adventuring through the Cultivation Realm with the Sun and Moon Palace Master. Back then, their strength wasn’t that great, they hadn’t yet learned Fasting, and they were dirt poor. After eating it so much, it just became a habit.
He hadn’t lied to the Little Fairy; he just hadn’t told her everything.
When the three of them reached the foot of the mountain, they saw a scene completely different from Lu Changyuan’s memory. Four houses stood there.
There used to be only one house here, for the Daoist Sect Master to live in when he was still an apprentice. Later, after the Daoist Sect Master took over, it was given to Jiang Jiayi to live in. There had always been just one house here, making it feel cold and deserted.
But now, it seemed different. With four houses, it couldn’t be called deserted at all. In fact, it was almost bustling.
Lu Changyuan immediately spotted a strange person putting up spring couplets.
Silver-haired and blindfolded—it was Su Youwan, the Little Ancestor of the Compassionate Palace.
’Why is Su Youwan putting up spring couplets?’
Lu Changyuan pointed at her, then looked toward Jiang Jiayi.
The Red-clothed Sword Immortal had no choice but to explain, "She seemed very curious. The Compassionate Palace doesn’t celebrate the Spring Festival, so she offered to help."
"That’s not what I wanted to ask."
Jiang Jiayi turned back to look at the person she admired most and asked, "Then what is it you want to ask?"
Lu Changyuan struggled to keep a straight face. "I wanted to ask why she isn’t just using Magical Power to put them up, but is using her hands instead. And... why is the ’Fortune’ character posted so perfectly straight?"
Su Youwan’s ethereal voice drifted over. "This way shows my sincerity."
’Why don’t I see this much sincerity when you’re paying respects to Ci Hang?’
Xia Lianxue watched Lu Changyuan nervously. She still remembered what Su Youwan had said—that Lu Changyuan had eaten her emotions. She worried that upon seeing Su Youwan again, the Young Master might have some incredible impulse.
What if the Young Master’s beastly nature flared up, and he rushed forward to stain the white snow red with the blood of that Little Fairy from the Compassionate Palace right then and there?
Xia Lianxue bit her lip. She had made thorough preparations, frantically "draining" Lu Changyuan in the days since they returned. But heaven’s will was not her own; the Young Master was stronger than before, and she had lost. This had left a hidden danger!
’Young Master, please don’t pounce on her... Huh?’
Xia Lianxue looked at Lu Changyuan and saw that his expression hadn’t changed in the slightest, and his pulse was steady.
’It seems the Young Master isn’t affected.’
’That’s great.’
But Xia Lianxue didn’t even have time to be happy.
Lu Changyuan spoke. "Miss Su."
Su Youwan nodded. "It has been a long time, Young Master Lu. Is your health well?"
Seeing Lu Changyuan nod, Su Youwan added softly, "Mei Zhaozhao asked me to tell you, Young Master, that you must remember her. She said she will come back to find Young Master Lu."
Lu Changyuan’s neck turned stiffly as he looked back at Xia Lianxue.
As expected, the Little Fairy in a White Skirt was smiling with narrowed eyes, her gentle expression laced with a certain indescribable terror.
"Young Master? Who is Mei Zhaozhao?"
’We just got past the business with the plain noodle soup, how did things get to this point in an instant?’
’What the hell is wrong with this Su Youwan? Can she really just say things like that so casually?’
Jiang Jiayi watched this scene with an amused expression. ’The current Chang’an Sect Master is much more likable than his former self. He even turns his head when he sees me disrobe, whereas in the past, he would have looked without a flicker of emotion in his eyes... How very interesting.’
The Silver-haired Maiden seemed not to have noticed anything, simply nodding before returning to her room.
No one knew what kind of tempestuous waves were surging beneath Su Youwan’s habitually calm expression.
The maiden heard her own heartbeat.
THUMP!
Again and again, it was like the beating of a drum.
That was emotion. Because Lu Changyuan had eaten her feelings, when Su Youwan looked at him, it was as if she were looking at her own emotions. Those emotions were now mixed with the scent of a man, an aroma that assaulted her senses, making Su Youwan even feel the impulse to devour Lu Changyuan and become one with him again.
Su Youwan understood.
It wasn’t that Lu Changyuan wanted to pounce on her, but that she wanted to pounce on Lu Changyuan.
’Fourth Brother said that this feeling—thinking someone is different, your heart thumping like a drum... is this "like"?’

Qiu Yuehan descended the mountain and, braving the snow, once again arrived in the Mortal Dynasty.
Within the Dynasty, the buildings around her were adorned with pure white snow, as cold and aloof as she was.
Qiu Yuehan brushed the snow from her clothes and, in just a few steps, walked to the shop where she had bought clothes last time.
The owner was hugging a stove for warmth. The gentle brazier emitted a warm light that made one feel drowsy.
The female owner’s eyes lit up. "Well, if it isn’t... the Fairy from last time. What brings you here today?"
Qiu Yuehan walked into the shop. "Make me two more sets, just like this outfit."
’The big spender is back!’ The female owner rubbed her hands together, her smile blooming like a flower. "Are you in a hurry? If you’re in a hurry..."
