Apocalypse: Rebirth With An Infinite Storage System
Chapter 276 That bitch had ruined me!
Justin was too stunned to speak as he held his face, which was heating terribly, his ears boiling like a kettle. He couldn’t even form any words, as blood was already filling his mouth while his face hurt so badly that even the slightest movement sent another wave of pain through him.
Meanwhile, the three girls Albert had saved had already left the moment Albert told them to, so they could go and rest and, of course, put on thicker outfits to protect themselves from the freezing cold.
"Argh! Some people just always prove that they’re goats who need to be taught a lesson sometimes." Ivy voiced out with a groan as she gently massaged her hand, wincing slightly from the sting in her palm. "Anyways, I’m done here. I’m sure the goats have learned their lessons." She added with a satisfied expression.
Without wasting any more time, she made her way towards where Darren and Erick were, leaving Albert, Justin, and his subordinate still groaning in pain on the floor.
"She’s fierce. I love that," Albert murmured under his breath with a soft smile, clearly amused by what he had just witnessed. Afterward, he turned around and walked away.

The next day arrived swiftly, all while the snow continued to fall heavily outside.
Justin had woken up very early that morning despite still being in pain. His head was aching terribly, and his entire face still throbbed from the beating he had received the previous day. Even so, he was determined to call Ivy out that morning.
However, the moment he stepped out of his room and into the main room where the survivors were gathered, the once-chattering voices of the survivors immediately died down.
Silence filled the room as all eyes were fixed on Justin making him frown.
"And what’s wrong with all of you?" he demanded, raising an eyebrow. "Is that how you’re supposed to greet your commander in the morning?"
There was anger in his tone, although he couldn’t properly express it through his face, which still hurt badly whenever he tried to move it.
The survivors exchanged glances before a few of them began whispering among themselves.
"What’s wrong with the commander? Did he fight someone bigger than him or what?"
"Just look at his face. It’s swollen like when you throw a loaf of bread into water and it swells up."
"He looks horrible. More like his face was disfigured."
"Ssh! Keep your voice down. He’ll hear you."
The slight murmurs began to spread throughout the room as the survivors couldn’t help but shake their heads in pity. Confusion was still written across most of their faces as they wondered what exactly could have happened to their commander overnight.
Justin narrowed his eyes at them.
"What are you all staring at?" he asked irritably.
Nobody answered.
Instead, they quickly looked away, pretending to suddenly become interested in whatever they had been doing before he walked in.
Noticing this, Justin’s suspicion grew.
"Give me a mirror," he ordered one of his subordinates.
"Yes, Commander," the subordinate replied quickly.
The mirror was brought to him immediately.
Justin took it without a second thought and slowly raised it toward his face.
But the moment he saw his reflection, his soul almost jumped out of his body.
His eyes widened in disbelief.
For several seconds, he simply stared at himself as he couldn’t believe his eyes either.
He looked horrible.
No, horrible wasn’t even enough to describe it.
His entire face was swollen, bruised, and distorted. His cheeks were puffed up terribly, his lips were swollen, and several parts of his face were already turning dark from the beating. He looked nothing like the intimidating commander he had been the previous day.
If there was another word worse than horrible, Justin would gladly use it.
"Fuck! How come I look like this?!!!" Justin screamed inwardly, anger and terror flashing across his face.
Unfortunately, the expression couldn’t last for long.
The moment his facial muscles moved, another sharp pain shot through his face.
He immediately grimaced, lowering the mirror slightly.
"That bitch had ruined me!" he cursed inwardly, his heart burning with fury. "She had disfigured me with those goddamn hands of hers!"
Justin clenched his fists tightly despite the pain.
"Do you think Captain Ivy is responsible?"
"Oh yeah, I heard there was an argument between our commander and her last night. Do you think she eventually resorted to using her hand to teach the commander some lessons?"
"I fell down, okay!!!" Justin’s voice suddenly rang out, silencing the murmurs of the people around him.
The survivors immediately went quiet.
"And you all better get to your day’s activities rather than standing around here talking nonsense!" Justin added angrily, his swollen face twisting slightly from the effort of speaking.
After saying that, he dropped the mirror in anger.
Crash!
The mirror shattered against the ground, the sharp sound echoing through the building.
Justin didn’t spare the survivors another glance. He simply turned around and stormed out of the building, his subordinate hurriedly following behind him.
The moment Justin stepped outside, his gaze immediately fell on Ivy, Darren, and Erick, who were standing beside their own truck. Justin’s subordinate also stood beside their truck, watching him carefully.
Ivy almost burst out laughing the moment Justin stepped out.
Darren and Erick were no different.
The three of them exchanged glances, their stomachs hurting as they struggled desperately to hold back their laughter.
Justin’s face was simply too ridiculous.
However, they managed to control themselves before their laughter could escape.
Instead of giving them any attention, Justin quickly climbed into his own truck with some of his subordinates.
Seeing this, Erick, Darren, and Ivy also got into their own truck.
And just like that, both groups set off toward the Clothing City to continue their mission.
