Chapter 275 What is going on here?!

The sounds rang loudly through the air, making even Ivy flinch.

It was definitely the sound of slaps, but these were no ordinary slaps. They looked and sounded like the kind of slaps capable of knocking someone’s teeth out and sending them straight to the hospital for jaw reconstruction.

Ivy remained standing in place, swallowing hard as she watched the figure before her. Despite the freezing weather, the man was dressed in nothing more than a light singlet and a pair of shorts. His perfectly built body was exposed to the cold, while his short blonde hair was already covered with snow.

Yet, despite the harsh weather, he didn’t seem bothered in the slightest.

Instead, he continued dealing with the Diamond Base men as though the cold and the situation around him were nothing worth paying attention to.

Ivy’s eyes widened slightly as a memory suddenly flashed through her mind.

One thing she knew for certain was that she never forgot those who had helped her. No matter how long ago someone had extended a helping hand to her, she would always remember and she never forgets those who wronged her in the apocalypse too.

As for those who had helped her survive the apocalypse in her first life, the people who had once stood by her when the entire world had descended into chaos were people she could never forget.

Isn’t that Albert? Ivy thought inwardly.

And the moment the man finally turned around to face her, Ivy gasped.

It was actually Albert!

One of the men who had helped her during the apocalypse in her previous life.

"Oh my goodness..." Ivy muttered inwardly, her eyes shining with surprise.

I keep seeing everyone who had helped me before. It’s almost as if the system wants me to recruit all of them.

A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she looked at Albert.

Making them join my base is probably the best thing to do, after all. So, yeah... Albert is definitely joining my base too.

He still hasn’t changed. Even in this life, he is still the same person.

Always helping people without thinking about whether he would get himself into trouble in the process.

Ivy couldn’t help but feel a little amused.

"And what the fuck is going on here?!!!"

Justin’s thunderous voice suddenly rang out, making Ivy, Albert, and the three women Albert had just saved all turn their gazes toward him.

Justin strode toward them with an ugly expression on his face, his eyes narrowing as he stared at Albert before shifting his attention to Ivy.

"Captain Ivy!" he called out angrily. "You just got to my base today, but you’re already meddling in things that don’t concern you."

"Things that don’t concern me?" Ivy raised an eyebrow, a scoff escaping her lips as she folded her arms over her chest."Are you perhaps aware of what your men are doing to the women too?"

Justin’s expression darkened at her reaction.

"Yes," he replied coldly. "You shouldn’t roam around my base alone. Or what do you think?"

He raised an eyebrow, a smug smirk slowly appearing on his face.

"And I advise you not to meddle in things that don’t concern you either as from now on. Trust me..." Justin paused deliberately, his smirk widening. "It’s a very terrible thing to do, especially when you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into. You might end up getting hurt."

"Slap!!!"

Ivy’s hand landed directly on Justin’s face with a loud bang.

The force of the slap caused his head to jerk violently to the side and for a moment, everyone went completely silent.

Justin’s eyes widened in disbelief.

He slowly turned his face back toward Ivy, clearly unable to believe that she had actually slapped him.

But before he could even say a single word

"Slap! Slap! Slap!"

Ivy delivered several more slaps in quick succession, each one landing squarely against his face.

"How dare you slap our commander?!" one of the soldiers shouted angrily.

The three soldiers whom Albert had just finished dealing with staggered forward. Blood stained their mouths, and several of their teeth had actually been knocked out thanks to Albert’s terrifying strength.

They glared at Ivy furiously as they approached her, seemingly intending to teach her a lesson for daring to lay a hand on their commander.

However, they barely had the chance to get close.

Ivy’s hand moved.

"Slap!"

Another slap landed.

"Slap!"

Then another.

"Slap!"

And another.

The three soldiers were left completely stunned as Ivy slapped each of them across the face without hesitation.

The sharp sounds of the slaps echoed through the snowy surroundings, leaving everyone standing nearby speechless.
