Apocalypse: Rebirth With An Infinite Storage System
Chapter 273 Such a beast!
"We came here together to get supplies, but you’re already telling your men to pack supplies for yourself." Ivy raised an eyebrow, letting out a scoff. "Do you realize how dumb that sounds and looks?"
She turned her gaze away from Justin and looked toward everyone else.
"I suggest that the supplies be moved to Fierce Hunter Base’s vehicle first. Then they’ll be divided later." Ivy continued firmly. "The truck we brought has a long, big boot anyway, so we can load everything there first and decide how to distribute the supplies afterward."
"What the actual fuck?" Justin raised an eyebrow and let out another scoff. "Just what is wrong with loading my truck with the supplies?"
"Because we’re not here for your base alone." Ivy shot back immediately. "We’re here together, so the supplies belong to everyone until they’re properly divided."
Justin’s expression darkened as he stared at her.
For a moment, neither of them said anything.
The tension between them was almost palpable, and even the soldiers from both sides could feel that another argument was only seconds away from breaking out.
"I agree. Fierce Hunter Base should have the supplies first. All soldiers can start loading the goods into Fierce Hunter Base’s truck." Darren chimed in.
Just like that, Ivy and Erick nodded their heads in agreement before walking away, leaving Justin with no choice but to accept their decision.
"Alright, let’s all get to work, then. The soldiers can’t finish all this by themselves." Erick announced as he began carrying the supplies.
Ivy and Darren also joined him, helping to load the goods into the Fierce Hunter Base truck, which Darren had driven down into the building’s compound to make things easier and faster.
The work continued without pause.
One box after another was carried out and loaded into the truck. The soldiers from Diamond Base did their part as well, though it was obvious that they weren’t particularly happy about having to load the supplies into another base’s vehicle.
Nearly two hours passed, and the seemingly endless work finally began to take its toll on everyone.
The survivors were all heaving heavy sighs of exhaustion, their bodies covered in sweat despite the freezing weather.
"We should head to Diamond Base." Erick finally suggested, still panting heavily for breath as he drank from a bottle of water. "We can continue tomorrow. What do you think? There’s no way we can take all the supplies with us today anyway."
He glanced around the enormous building.
"There are ten floors in here, and we’ve only been able to raid one. If we keep forcing ourselves to continue today, we’ll only exhaust everyone."
"That’s exactly what I’m thinking." Darren chimed in, seriousness etched into his tone. "Let’s go."
With that, Ivy, Erick, Justin, and his men made their way out of the building and back toward their trucks.
Everyone climbed inside, and soon, the vehicles started moving as they head towards Diamond base.

After what felt like forever, the Diamond Base building finally came into view.
Survivors could be seen moving about, going about their daily activities outside the building, while soldiers continued to patrol and parade around the base.
However, the moment the trucks drove into the base, all the survivors in Diamond Base who had been going about their activities immediately stopped what they were doing.
One after another, they hurried outside the base building and stood in the freezing weather.
They were dressed in relatively light clothes, and many of them were visibly shivering as snow continued to fall onto their heads and shoulders.
"Welcome back, Captain Justin!"
"Welcome to Diamond Base, Commander Erick!"
The survivors greeted respectfully, their heads bowed as they welcomed the returning group.
Ivy’s eyebrows immediately furrowed.
"Do you all want to get sick?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow as she let out a scoff.
"Huh? What do you mean by that? Don’t you want us to greet our base leader and of course commander Erick?" One of the survivors asked but the moment Justin cleared his throat, the survivor understood immediately a kept shut.
Ivy then folded her arms over her chest, her gaze sweeping over the poorly dressed survivors standing outside in the cold.
"Do you come out like this to greet every base leader when you could easily greet them after they’re inside your base building?" Ivy continued, her tone becoming sharper. "Or perhaps you’re doing this just to get yourselves sick and make your captain start worrying?"
She shook her head in disbelief.
"You’ll only end up wasting unnecessary supplies because of your dumb decisions. Medicine isn’t unlimited, you know."
"I..." One of the survivors tried to respond again, but Ivy immediately continued.
"I get you, Captain Justin." Ivy turned her attention toward him, a knowing look appearing in her eyes. "The survivors under you are quite tough, right?"
Justin’s expression changed slightly.
"You’ve been out fighting monsters for so long, and they want you to spend whatever supplies you get on them for medicine when they inevitably get sick." Ivy continued, not giving him a chance to interrupt. "That’s insane."
Justin’s face darkened.
"I asked them to do this so that you could pity them, you bitch!" Justin cursed under his breath, his hands tightening into fists.
He quickly lowered his gaze, making sure the survivors couldn’t hear him.
Is she seeing through all my plans already again?
His jaw clenched in frustration.
Such a bitch!
