[Day 3 of 3 for SSS Necromancer Ability.]
Alex saw the numbers of kills that his undead army had contributed, and he was pleasantly surprised.
He had lost about one third of them, but it was the best he could come up with.
There weren’t many options with the time and resources he had.
He gave out a sigh and glanced at Riley, Terry and Brian to check on how they were doing.
They were safe and were waiting for him.
Alex shouted at them, "There might be airstrikes coming soon, we should leave as soon as possible."
He wasn’t sure if the authorities had some bombs that could penetrate through the upper layer and reach through to the underground facilities, and he wasn’t going to stick around and find out.
Alex quickly waved his hands and stored everything that was close to him, including the body of General Xavier.
Just in case there was important information on him.
He also did the same for the bodies of the Lieutenants and also the other equipment that was in the command center.
After he was done with the command center, he went over to the back where the research lab was.
By now the researchers had run away and he didn’t have time to pursue them.
So, he did the next best thing he could.
With a wave of his hand, he stored all the devices that were used for the research into his storage space.
After he was done, he and his friends got ready to leave.
However, before they could even take a step, the whole place started to tremble.
Debris fell from above and it continued non-stop.
The lifts were destroyed and they fell crashing to where Alex and his friends were.
Even the emergency stairways caved in, and they weren’t able to ascend back to the surface with it anymore.
Alex lifted his head and everything was crumbling down towards him.
The airstrikes had started and they would be buried alive if he didn’t do something about it quickly.
"Come close to me!" Alex shouted at his friends and they ran towards him.
After they got close, he held his arm up and out of nowhere the gigantic mutated bear appeared and it filled up the whole space.
"Hop on," Alex said, and he climbed up the body of the mutated bear.
Riley, Terry and Brian were stunned for a moment before they followed what he did.
It was a short climb up to the shoulder of the gigantic mutated bear, and when they were there, the gigantic mutated bear started to climb upwards with its paws and tentacles that were growing out from its body.
With its size, it was able to slowly make its way out of the crumbling underground facility.
After it got out from the underground facility, Alex glanced at the sky, and thankfully, the planes had thought that it was mission accomplished for them and they were gone.
Tremble.
The gigantic mutated bear took a step, knelt down on its knee, making the earth tremble.
Alex and his friends got down from its shoulder and they glanced around at the carnage and damages that were all over the place.
The fort was destroyed, and everything was leveled by the airstrike.
Cough.
Terry gave out a cough and waved his hands in front of his face to get the dust that was in the air away from him.
"I think we better leave now."
Alex nodded his head at Terry and his friends also agreed with him.
He waved his hand across him and a car appeared out of nowhere.
Riley got into the driver’s seat as usual and the others followed him shortly after.
Vroom.
The engine of the car started and with the screeching of the tires, the car sped from where it was, heading towards the direction of where they came from.
"Yes! We did it!" Terry clenched his fist and said when the car got some distance away from the fort.
It was something that was impossible for him if it had been before the Apocalypse.
But here they were.
Able to sneak into the fort and kill the best of the best with their abilities.
Riley nodded his head.
After knowing what the authorities did with those in the quarantine area, he felt happy that they were able to get back at them.
Brian sat quietly as usual and thought about what it meant in the future for them.
Alex was doing the same and he hoped that there would be something useful with all the equipment and bodies he had gotten from the command center.
...
"Thank god, you are back!" Norton was glad when he saw Alex and his friends again.
There was a huge cloud of dark smoke in the distance which he presumed had something to do with Alex and his friends.
His guess was accurate, but Alex didn’t have time to chat with him about it.
"Ask the townsfolk to pack up as soon as possible. It’s time to leave." Alex said, and Norton was stunned for a moment.
"I will get them to do so now." Norton turned around and he ran through the town asking the townsfolk to get ready.
It was a scurry of activities where the townsfolk gathered whatever they had or thought was valuable to them.
When they were done, they gathered at where Alex was waiting for them.
"Buses?! Where did they come from?" The townsfolk were surprised to see a line of cars that were ready.
"No time to chat, get on the buses." Norton ushered his people onto the buses and they did so quickly.
Vroom.
After everyone got on, they started moving out of the town and headed towards the direction of the hydroelectric dam.
