Alex turned around at his friends and he didn’t even need to open his mouth to ask.

His friends pointed at a pile of bodies and shrugged.

These were the bodies of those who were Awakened which his friends had stacked up for him.

Alex went over and used his Necromancer ability to make them his undead.

By now, he had around forty-six of the undead who were Awakened.

All he had to do was get four more bodies from Awakened to have a fully undead Awakened army of his own.

He glanced at the carnage all around him and shook his head.

Unless the other gangs were so brave, they weren’t likely to come and try their luck, especially with what happened to tattooed face and his gang.

With this thought in mind, he thought about going around the city next.

"I don’t think there’s any point staying here. Let’s go around the city and see if we can find anything useful." Alex said and his friends nodded their heads.

He put the undead into his storage portal and they headed to the car.

Riley frowned when they got to the car.

It was now riddled with holes from the gunshots earlier.

"Damn it, I was just getting used to it." Riley said and kicked at the bumper of the car.

Then, the bumper of the car dropped to the ground, making a crashing sound.

Alex shook his head at him and said, "I’ve got more than enough cars for you to choose from if you want to."

He waved his hand across and another car appeared in front of him.

It was one of the cars he had stored previously on their scavenging missions.

"I guess I’ll get used to this soon." Riley shrugged and he opened the door of the car to get into the driver’s seat.

Alex, Terry and Brian also got into the car after him.

Vroom.

The engine roared to life and the car sped away from where they were.

Alex wanted to see if he could grab something useful in the buildings that were all around the city.

They went up the high-rise buildings one by one and they were able to find equipment, stationery, paper, and even every bolt and screw was useful to them.

Alex kept all that they could into his storage space.

And once they had cleared a building, they moved on to the next.

Meanwhile, when this was happening, news about what happened to Bernard and tattooed face’s gang had spread in the city.

All the other gang leaders and members weren’t sure of the details but all they knew was that both gangs perished under the hands of the same person.

But whoever it was, they didn’t know.

There were no survivors.

They were able to know this due to some of the Awakened who had the ability to see far enough from a distance, or they were able to sense what happened in a place.

However, they weren’t SSS Level and so, they couldn’t make out what Alex and his friends looked like.

The only thing they knew was that these four were ruthless and very strong.

Much stronger than anyone they’d encountered before.

Lieutenant Langley also caught the news and he tried to get the gang members to go and seek out whoever the culprit was.

But they weren’t idiots and they gave him excuse after excuse.

"Useless cowards!" Lieutenant Langley shouted and glanced at Sergeant Baron after he put down the communication device he used to communicate with the gang leaders.

They were in the hideout of the biggest gang in the city and the gang leader, Rudy, came over and said, "I can get my men to seek out where they are if you need me to, Lieutenant Langley."

Lieutenant Langley glanced at Rudy and kept quiet.

Rudy gave out an awkward laugh and said, "My men might need some things to tide them over until they find these men.

"As you know we are pretty short of resources now."

Lieutenant Langley thought for a moment.

Even if Rudy was able to figure out where these men were, the other gang members wouldn’t dare to make any move.

He needed to do something to entice them.

Giving them more resources might not cut it, since they would rather be alive to enjoy the resources compared to being dead.

His plan to get these gangs to kill each other off wasn’t going as he had planned it to be.

"Find where they are and I will lead my team to go and exterminate them.

"Those who are willing to assist me in it will be rewarded as promised."

Rudy’s eyes opened wide at what he had heard.

If it was only some assistance, he might be able to send some of his finest Awakened to help.

"We are ready to give you a hand as always." He said and nodded at Lieutenant Langley.

Lieutenant Langley patted on the shoulder of Rudy and said, "Inform the other gangs and let me know when you find where they are."

He didn’t expect to have to get involved but the situation called for it and he had no better options.

Sergeant Baron followed closely behind and they left the room where Rudy was.

Rudy glanced at his men and he was in two minds.

Maybe it might not be that great of an idea to send all of his finest Awakened to go and help Lieutenant Langley?

Let the other gang leaders do that instead?

If these men were so powerful, the other gangs might suffer heavy setbacks if their best Awakened were killed.

Then, he could have the chance to take over the entire city.

With this thought in mind, he picked up the communication device and spoke into it to inform the other gang members.

...

Alex and his friends, who were unaware of what was happening, were still going through the buildings and scavenging for whatever was useful for them.

When Alex glanced out of the window, he saw that the sun was going to set very soon.

"I think we can stop for the day."
