Chapter 103: More Awakened Undead

Tattooed face’s eyes opened wide when he saw what happened.

The two men, who were A Level Awakened, that got hit were two of the best he had with him and they’d never failed to cause serious damage to their enemies.

But this time, they didn’t even have a chance to even touch Alex before they got hit by him.

Both of them lay on the ground motionlessly and their chests stopped moving.

Alex’s devastating punch on each of them was enough to kill both of them on the spot.

Tattooed face’s heart sank when he realized what it meant.

Even with his S Level Ability, he might not fare better when he faced Alex.

He gasped silently to himself but he shouted at the other Awakened that were with him, "Go get him! We have the numbers, don’t be afraid!"

His men glanced at each other for a few moments and they knew that they had no choice.

Tattooed face killed many of their compatriots on a whim and it was either getting killed by him or the unfamiliar young man.

They mustered whatever courage they had inside them and they tried to unleash their abilities at Alex.

But they lost sight of him.

Alex couldn’t be seen anywhere.

A speck of shadow moved along the ground and it travelled to the back of them.

Then, the speck of shadow rose and it slowly transformed back into Alex’s human form.

Thud.

Alex hit the back of them in quick succession.

All of them got hit before they could turn around and see what was going on.

"Argh!" They gave out a cry of pain after getting hit and they were hurled into the air until they landed on the racks around thirty meters away.

None of them survived.

Only tattooed face was left and he swung his arm at Alex.

The air and everything that was present got removed when his hand swept horizontally across Alex’s head.

However, Alex’s response was even faster than tattooed face’s.

He took a step back and tilted his head backwards.

Then, he raised his right leg and gave tattooed face a frontal kick.

Tattooed face tried to swipe his other hand downwards to stop Alex’s kick from reaching his abdomen but he was a few moments too slow.

Thud.

Alex’s kick landed squarely onto tattooed face’s abdomen and it made him feel like his innards were turned upside down.

The pain caused him to give out a cough and the blood from within spat out into the air, leaving a trail of an arc as he flew across the area.

Slam.

He slammed onto the ground and as an S Level Awakened he was still able to struggle and try to get back on his feet.

Regrets went through his mind as he thought about his decision to come over here, thinking they had a chance to score some free kills.

It was the worst decision he could have made.

But it was too late now as he used all his strength to bring himself up from the ground but his knees were shaking.

His breathing got faster and faster but no extra strength came to him.

When he saw a shadow getting close to him, he lifted his head.

Alex stood in front of him and looked down at tattooed face.

He wasted no time and chopped down onto the head of tattooed face with his hand.

Crack.

When Alex’s hand landed onto the forehead of tattooed face, a loud crack could be heard when the skull fractured and what was inside the skull got scrambled into pieces from the impact.

Tattooed face’s eyes rolled upwards and his jaw slackened before he fell forward.

Alex glanced at the twelve bodies in front of him and he was pleased with his gains this time.

The battle was still going on in the other areas of the supermarket and he might be able to gather more bodies which were from those who had Awakened when they were alive.

He quickly went and checked to see if his friends needed help.

But it wasn’t really warranted.

Riley, Terry and Brian’s abilities overwhelmed the gang members and they were able to finish off all of the men that lunged at them easily.

Bang!

The machine gun fire kept firing and they started to slow and get more sporadic as time went by.

Then, there was silence as all the gang members had been taken care of.

Alex was impressed with what he could do with these undead and he wondered if it was possible to be upgraded for him to be able to control more than 50 undead, which was the limit right now.

Just as he had this thought, a familiar sound erupted in his mind.

[Ding!]

[Day 1 of 3 for SSS Necromancer Ability.]

When he saw the information in the information panels, he was pleasantly surprised that the kills made by the undead were counted as his kills by the system.

That would mean that he would be able to accomplish the kill targets much more easily in the future.

"I’m so tired." Terry grumbled and sat on the ground.

It’s been a while since he had to battle against so many enemies.

Riley and Brian also inhaled a long breath to compose themselves after the strenuous battle.

Alex, in comparison, had gotten to work and was busy again with his SSS Level Necromancer Ability.

He walked over to the bodies of tattooed face and the other Awakened.

His arm raised and a familiar dark glow appeared in his hand.

The same thing happened with how he did with Bernard and the other Awakened.

After he was done, tattooed face and the other Awakened stood up and they fell in line neatly as if it was a parade inspection.
