"Why... *retch*... are even we... *retch*... retching..."

Kai York could barely say a few words without letting out an uncontrollable dry heave.

"You should... *retch*... just stop... *retch*... talking... *retch*..."

Moira Lynch’s condition was no better.

The feeling of food piled up to their throats, the sensation that they would vomit at any moment, hadn’t improved at all even after Carole Underwood woke up.

"What’s wrong with you all? Do you want some water?"

Chantelle Underwood, who had been quite disgruntled about being knocked unconscious, woke up to see several people, including Shane Rhodes, sprawled on the ground, retching miserably.

Hearing the words "drink water" only made them retch more violently.

"No, it’s fine. We’ll be okay after a little rest," Shane Rhodes said with difficulty.

This wasn’t the feeling of being overstuffed with food, however. It was a side effect caused by their internal energy becoming overly saturated.

Now, they had to either release the energy inside them or absorb it.

With this in mind, they decided to rest where they were. Otherwise, given the way they were constantly dry heaving, they probably wouldn’t even be able to run if they encountered danger.

For safety, Moira Lynch sent out countless Heavenly Eyes to stand guard and even let out her little fox.

"Don’t just eat anything."

This was Moira Lynch’s only instruction for the little fox.

Seeing this, Shane Rhodes and the other two also summoned their Spiritual Bodies.

This scene left Joy Underwood completely stunned.

’Who am I? Where am I? Why am I here? What was that just now? How can they summon Mythical Beasts?’

’Am I just a side character in some novel?’

Joy Underwood had already spiraled into a deep vortex of self-doubt.

However, the only ones who could explain it to her—Moira Lynch’s group—were currently busy trying to digest the energy in their bodies and had no time to explain.

The group stayed in that spot until the next morning, when Moira Lynch slowly opened her eyes.

She first assessed the energy within her. Although she was still over-full, her condition was clearly much better than yesterday’s.

At most, she now felt about seventy or eighty percent full. This was the benefit of having multiple talents.

’With two extra mouths to feed, the consumption rate is naturally a bit faster.’

Kai York was the second to wake up after Moira Lynch.

As someone with dual talents, his condition was a little worse than Moira Lynch’s, but he no longer felt the urge to retch and could even manage to eat something.

In contrast, Shane Rhodes and Hugh Finch didn’t look so good after waking up. Hugh Finch even let out a dry heave at the sight of the breakfast Joy Underwood had prepared.

Seeing this, Carole Underwood held the food, at a loss for what to do.

"It has nothing to do with you. He’s just feeling a bit unwell and has no appetite," Shane Rhodes said.

On the fourth day of the game, guided by Joy Underwood, the group continued in the direction she indicated. This time, they chose to walk.

Along the way, they were constantly looking around.

In Carole Underwood’s eyes, it looked like they were being vigilant, afraid of running into another monster like the one from before.

But only they knew the truth: they weren’t looking around because they were afraid of encountering monsters, but because they were afraid they *wouldn’t*. They desperately needed a fight to vent the excess energy in their bodies.

This was especially true for Shane Rhodes and Hugh Finch.

But for some reason, their journey today was incredibly smooth. They didn’t encounter any danger at all.

When the group stopped to rest at noon, Carole Underwood again offered to prepare food for everyone, but she was turned down.

"The air pollution here is too severe. The food would be contaminated the moment you take it out," Moira Lynch said.

A look of sudden realization dawned on Carole Underwood’s face. "Oh, I’m sorry. I almost forgot about that."

By now, Moira Lynch and her group were already covered in their 5S-grade mecha suits, with the Purification Systems turned up to maximum.

In stark contrast was Carole Underwood.

She wasn’t wearing any protective gear whatsoever.

After entering this heavily polluted area, they had been worried about Carole Underwood’s safety. After all, she was the savior. If something happened to her under their watch, there was no guarantee the world’s consciousness wouldn’t retaliate against them.

They didn’t have any spare 5S-grade mecha suits, but they did have extra gas masks. However, when Moira Lynch offered her one, Carole Underwood refused.

According to her, the pollution here couldn’t harm her at all.

Carole Underwood even said the air here smelled nice, which for a moment made Moira Lynch wonder if the girl was an idiot.

’Heavy pollution. Breathing the air here is little different from inhaling poison gas.’

Even though Carole Underwood had refused the gas mask, Moira Lynch still had Patience constantly monitor her. If anything unexpected happened, like a genetic mutation or some other transformation, they could be prepared.

However, several hours passed, and absolutely nothing happened to Carole Underwood.

Not only was she fine, but according to scans from Patience and the Healing Device, Carole Underwood’s various physical abilities were actually improving.

Furthermore, Moira Lynch noticed—whether by coincidence or not—that the surrounding air pollution levels were dropping.

This gave rise to a highly absurd idea in Moira Lynch’s mind.

’This planet’s savior... isn’t some kind of air purifier, is she?’

’That’s impossible... right?’

Once this idea took root, whenever Moira Lynch looked at Carole Underwood, all she could see was an air purifier.

"Hey, you’ve been spacing out this whole time. What’s going on?" Hugh Finch asked, sidling up to her curiously.

"I..."

Moira Lynch first glanced around, then simply opened a Communication Corridor and told Hugh Finch her theory.

After hearing Moira Lynch out, Hugh Finch gave her a look that screamed, "Are you kidding me?"

Knowing he didn’t believe her, Moira Lynch simply presented the evidence she had found.

"Look, look! According to these two analysis reports, the pollution level in our immediate area is half a percentage point lower than elsewhere."

It was only half a point, but that was already very telling.

"And it’s not just this one spot! It happens everywhere. As long as we stay in one place long enough, the pollution level keeps dropping. At one point, it dropped by five percentage points."

"Could it be the 5S-grade mecha suits? I remember they have an air purification ability."

Hugh Finch still couldn’t believe it. The planet’s great savior, chosen by the world’s consciousness, was an air purifier? The idea was just too incredible.
