Moira Lynch learned from Kai York that he had been hunted ever since entering the game. Yes, that’s right—by the same kind of monster Moira had encountered before.

The guy had some bad luck. After escaping the first time, he ran in the wrong direction. Not only did he fail to leave the heavily contaminated area, but he got in deeper and deeper.

The monsters hunting him went from one to two, then three, then a whole pack.

At its peak, Kai York had nearly thirty monsters behind him, chasing him desperately, waving their hands, and constantly repeating the two words "Hello there" in a hair-raising tone.

The feeling was more terrifying than watching *The Ring* in the middle of the night.

Moira Lynch ignored Kai York’s rants and complaints. The fact that he still had time to drone on about this and that meant he was safe for now; the monsters hadn’t actually harmed him.

[Moira Lynch: @Hugh Finch, can you divine the whereabouts of this world’s savior?]

[Hugh Finch: According to my divination, this world’s savior seems to be near the Boss.]

[Hugh Finch: @Shane Rhodes, Boss, pay attention to your surroundings. See if there’s a very special girl near you. She’s the savior of this world.]

At that moment, Shane Rhodes, who had been silent the whole time, finally spoke up.

[Shane Rhodes: Special? How special? I have a lot of girls here, and they’re all... pretty special.]

[Kai York: Lots of girls? Boss, you’re a lucky man.]

Kai York had sent that as a voice message, his tone dripping with resentment.

[Hugh Finch: Lots of girls? Then there must be a core leader, right? That’s the one.]

If she was the savior, she must be a leader.

It was just like their own group. On the surface, it looked like Moira Lynch dumped everything on them and couldn’t be bothered with anything, but in reality, she was the one who made the final decisions.

As long as she spoke, the others wouldn’t object.

[Shane Rhodes: Alright, I think I’ve found her. But it seems their base isn’t the same one Moira is in.]

[Moira Lynch: Should I move, then?]

She was the savior of this world, after all. Making a small accommodation was no big deal.

[Shane Rhodes: No need. There’s something wrong with their team. I’m confident I can persuade her to come with me.]

Just as they were about to end the conversation, Hugh Finch suddenly spoke up:

[Hugh Finch: No, I still don’t trust your judgment. Send me a picture of them.]

There was a long pause from Shane Rhodes’s end.

After about two or three minutes, a photo, clearly a candid shot, was sent.

Moira Lynch glanced at the photo and almost instantly recognized the leader of the group. Her aura was obvious.

A few minutes later, Hugh Finch said:

[Hugh Finch: Don’t bring back the one in the middle with the ponytail. Bring back the dirty-faced girl with the braids in the corner. She’s the one we’re looking for.]

Hearing this, Moira Lynch finally noticed there was another person in the corner, looking pitiful, like a complete pushover.

Evidently, Shane Rhodes was also shocked. ’This girl who looks like a total pushover is the savior?’

[Shane Rhodes: Are you sure?]

[Hugh Finch: I’m sure.]

[Shane Rhodes: Fine. You’re the diviner, you call the shots.]

However, this gave him a lot more room to maneuver.

Shane Rhodes looked at Hugh Finch’s reply on his Intelligent Brain, then his gaze fell on the inconspicuous girl in the corner.

Just then, the woman Shane had first identified as the savior walked over. Seemingly noticing his gaze, she blocked his view with some displeasure and asked, "What are you looking at? Is whatever’s over there better looking than me?"

’Is she... trying to act cute with me?’

Shane Rhodes looked at the woman who had cozied up to him, a coquettish pout in her eyes. In peacetime, it might have been cute, but this was the apocalypse.

’Besides, we’ve only known each other for a short time. Is it really appropriate for you to talk to me like this?’

Shane Rhodes couldn’t help but take a few steps back, putting some distance between himself and the woman. For the first time, he began to wonder if his judgment was truly flawed.

The woman was very dissatisfied with Shane’s actions but could do nothing about it. After all, his combat power was far beyond hers.

It wasn’t just her; Shane was stronger than anyone she had ever met. And handsome, to boot.

’A man this good-looking and charismatic is all the more satisfying to conquer, isn’t he?’

Meanwhile, after resting for a while, Moira Lynch closed her Intelligent Brain and got up from the crude bed on the floor.

Lying down was a bit uncomfortable anyway, so she figured she might as well get up and walk around.

Moira decided to go out and take a look before Hugh Finch and the others arrived.

Although she had already scouted the area with her spiritual power, seeing it with her own eyes was different from a spiritual probe.

Just as she left her room and was about to head out, she suddenly saw a group of people walking toward her.

The leader was a woman with strong features, fair skin, and neat short hair. She wore a black bodysuit and high heels, her unbelievably long legs drawing particular attention.

Seeing that they all radiated a powerful "don’t mess with me" overlord’s aura and clearly weren’t to be trifled with, Moira Lynch silently shrank back to avoid any unnecessary confrontation.

She thought they were just passing by, but to her surprise, they stopped right in front of her.

Staring at the pair of heaven-defying long legs before her, Moira couldn’t help but look up.

Even so, she could only see the woman’s chin.

’She must be over five-eleven, right? With those heels, she’s probably close to six-three.’

’But still, won’t she twist an ankle in heels that high?’

Moira’s mind was wandering, and she didn’t hear what the woman had just said at all. It was only when someone behind the woman shouted loudly that Moira snapped out of it.

"I’m sorry, I was just spacing out," Moira Lynch said apologetically, but her eyes showed not a hint of fear, only curiosity.

’What do these people want with me? I just got to this base.’

"Hello, my name is Jade Lawson. I’ve come because I heard you have an Ice Talent and astonishing combat power, capable of killing a Gilt Beetle in minutes. Therefore, I want to invite you to join our squad."

The woman’s words were devoid of any emotion, her expression was just as cold, and her tone even carried a hint of command, as if she was certain the young girl before her wouldn’t dare refuse her invitation.

"Sorry, I’m not interested in joining you." Moira’s refusal was decisive.

"Why not? We’re an A-rank squad. Plus, our squad is all women. Here, you won’t be harassed by any men." The woman emphasized her last sentence.
