The wound was clearly a bite from some kind of long-toothed animal. The flesh around it was already showing signs of inflammation and infection. The man’s face was unnaturally flushed; he was obviously running a fever.

A wound like this would never pass the inspection.

Even though he knew he wasn’t infected with the zombie virus, there was a high chance he would die from the infected wound in the quarantine zone.

But even so, he had returned, because his family was still inside the base.

Moira Lynch nodded slightly. "Of course."

With that, Moira Lynch lightly tapped his injured arm. Before the man’s astonished eyes, the gruesome wound slowly healed.

Not only that, but after the treatment, the man instantly felt a sense of relief wash over his entire body.

It seemed like it wasn’t just the wound on his arm; even the internal injuries he’d sustained on a previous mission had healed, and his body temperature had returned to normal.

"I’m healed! I’m healed! HAHAHA!!"

The man laughed with excitement.

Some of the Superpower Users who had been quietly watching the situation all looked on in shock when they heard the man’s laughter and saw his fully healed arm.

He was actually healed, and the entire process only took a few seconds.

For such a severe wound to heal in such a short time, the crowd realized this newcomer’s Healing Ability was likely more powerful than all the Healing Superpower Users they had ever seen combined.

Soon, a long line formed in front of Moira Lynch’s stall. Shane Rhodes stood behind her, expressionlessly acting as both bodyguard and cashier.

Moira Lynch treated over a dozen people in one go, easily earning more than a thousand Zombie Crystal Cores.

As the sky grew dark, Moira Lynch and Shane Rhodes saw the line dwindling and that no one left was injured, so they packed up their stall to leave.

Before they left, a woman in a black windbreaker called out from the crowd, "Are you two coming back tomorrow?"

"We are," Moira Lynch announced loudly. "Barring any surprises, I’ll be here for the next few days. As long as they’re still breathing, I can heal them."

Hearing Moira Lynch’s words, the woman’s eyes lit up, but they quickly dimmed again. Her lips moved, murmuring something only she could hear.

After returning to their lodgings, Moira Lynch had Shane Rhodes take out all of their earnings for the day. Adding the Crystal Cores he had collected along the way and the ones Moira Lynch had gathered herself, they had a total of over two thousand.

Crystal Cores came in many colors. Based on a Superpower User’s Attributes, these cores were divided into eleven types: Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Light, Dark, Thunder, Wind, Ice, and attributeless.

The colors corresponding to these eleven Attributes were yellow, green, blue, red, brown, gold, black, purple, cyan, white, and transparent, respectively.

A Superpower User could only absorb Crystal Cores of their corresponding Attribute. If they tried to forcibly absorb other types, the mismatched Crystal Cores would act like single-use batteries and be wasted.

It was worth noting that attributeless crystal cores could be absorbed by Superpower Users of any Attribute without any side effects.

Shane Rhodes’s talent was Thunder, so he could only absorb purple Crystal Cores. However, since Thunder was considered a derivative of the Gold element, he could also absorb Gold Element Crystal Cores.

Moira Lynch, on the other hand, had three talents, two of which were mutated fusions of two other talents, giving her far more options.

However, no Crystal Cores for the Spiritual System or Space System had been discovered yet, and zombies of the Dark and Light Elements were also extremely rare.

In any case, there were none among the two thousand-plus Crystal Cores in front of Moira Lynch. After sorting through them, it seemed she could only absorb the Ice Element Crystal Cores, the transparent attributeless crystal cores, and the Water Element Crystal Cores from the pile.

Moira Lynch and Shane Rhodes first sorted the Crystal Cores, picking out the ones that they, Kai York, and Hugh Finch could use.

"By the way, what Attribute is Hugh Finch’s talent?" Shane Rhodes suddenly looked up and asked.

"After the last game, I was looking up this stuff on the Astranet. It said the Divination Talent belongs to the Mysterious System. Is that a real thing?"

Moira Lynch searched her memory and explained, "The Mysterious System is a branch of the Spiritual System, so he should be able to absorb Spiritual System Crystal Cores."

"He’s pretty unlucky then. Let’s save all the attributeless crystal cores for him."

After all, there wasn’t a single Spiritual System Crystal Core in the entire pile, which showed just how precious they were.

Moira Lynch nodded in silent agreement.

After sorting the Crystal Cores, Moira Lynch found a basin in the kitchen, filled it halfway with water, and then poured in some strong spirits to disinfect it.

The Superpower Users were quite rough when digging out Crystal Cores. Some of them were still covered in white zombie brain matter, which was disgusting. They definitely needed a good cleaning.

After soaking and washing all the Crystal Cores, a ball of white flame appeared in her hand.

Moira Lynch tossed the flame directly into the basin.

The moment it touched the Crystal Cores, the flame flared up high with a WHOOSH, as if it had hit some kind of accelerant.

"Moira, has your Healing Talent always had this purification ability? How come you’ve never mentioned it before?" Shane Rhodes asked curiously.

"To be honest, I never really noticed it," Moira Lynch said truthfully. "Mainly because I’ve never encountered anything that needed purifying before. I rarely even use this Healing Talent, since none of us—myself included—get injured very often."

Except for one time in a previous game, Moira Lynch had almost never used her Healing Talent. She actually knew less about it than she did about Destruction.

However, her intuition told her that this purification ability had likely appeared only recently.

She had noticed that when she was healing people, her originally white flame had become brighter and was now tinged with a faint golden light.

’It... probably, maybe, possibly... has something to do with the Eternal Evolution Stone I carry with me.’

Ten minutes later, all the Crystal Cores were purified.

Moira Lynch and Shane Rhodes each took their respective shares, then stored the remaining Crystal Cores away.

"There will probably be more people coming for treatment tomorrow. Do you want to pretend to be a Space Ability User?" Moira Lynch said suddenly.

"After all, we’ll have so many Crystal Cores. Just carrying them in a single bag will easily arouse suspicion."

"Then why don’t you do it? I remember you actually are one," Shane Rhodes said.

"That’s true, but my space is sealed, isn’t it? Besides, my Space Talent isn’t pure. It’s geared more toward escape than creating a storage dimension," Moira Lynch said frankly.
