Meanwhile, the moment Moira Lynch and Kai York fell into the water, they popped the Sea Pearls into their mouths.

So, aside from the initial discomfort of hitting the water, the two of them quickly adapted.

To avoid being spotted by anyone on the ship—or having them jump in to "rescue" them, however unlikely that was—they waited until they were a good distance from the freighter before surfacing.

"*SPUTTER!* Have the people from The Federal Government arrived yet?" Kai York asked, wiping the seawater from his face.

Moira Lynch shook her head. "No word yet, but it should be soon. They’re probably confirming our exact location."

The freighter wasn’t exactly standing still, after all.

Since they were just waiting around anyway, Moira Lynch decided to extend her spiritual power and see if she could find anything interesting beneath them in this part of the sea.

She didn’t really expect to find anything, but to her surprise, there was something there. However, she wasn’t the one who spotted it.

"Moira, what’s that over there?" Kai York asked, tapping her on the shoulder.

Following his gaze, she saw a spot on the distant sea surface emitting pulses of blue-green light.

Moira Lynch took a closer look and said, "It’s probably some kind of seaweed. Let’s go check it out."

Her spiritual power hadn’t detected any life signs from it; it felt more like some sort of plant.

And just as she suspected, she was right.

"This is Cyan-Green Seaweed."

Moira Lynch looked at the stuff she’d scooped out of the water. It was a sticky, glowing, blue-green clump that looked a little disgusting.

But she learned from Patience that it was an edible type of seaweed. Furthermore, it grew quickly, was easy to cultivate, and was highly nutritious.

For sailors on long voyages who couldn’t get fresh vegetables, stumbling upon a patch of Cyan-Green Seaweed was an opportunity they wouldn’t trade for a mountain of gold.

However, while Cyan-Green Seaweed grew fast and wasn’t picky about water quality, it was also extremely fragile.

That was why, despite its incredible growth rate, it never became an invasive menace—its constitution simply wasn’t strong enough.

"You’re telling me this stuff is edible?" Kai York stared at the glob in his hand, his face screaming, ’Are you serious?’

The body of the Cyan-Green Seaweed was incredibly delicate, like a boiled potato; the slightest pressure turned it into a mushy paste.

Kai York couldn’t even imagine what the texture would be like in his mouth.

"Apparently, if you boil it in scalding water, it firms up. After that, you can serve it cold or stir-fry it, just like a regular vegetable."

After getting a definitive answer from Moira, Kai York complained about how disgusting it was, but his hands never stopped moving.

Soon, the two of them had gathered the entire patch of Cyan-Green Seaweed.

Just as the last of the Cyan-Green Seaweed vanished from sight, a loud noise suddenly echoed from above.

At the same time, Patience’s voice sounded:

[Master, they’ve arrived. They’re right above you now. They’re asking if they should send someone to pull you out of the water.]

"That won’t be necessary."

Moira Lynch refused flatly. They had their pride, after all.

With that, she gave Kai York a look. He immediately understood. A pair of cyan wings unfurled from his back, and with a gentle gust of wind, his body slowly began to rise into the air.

Not to be outdone, Moira Lynch also revealed a pair of White Wings on her back.

But unlike Kai York’s, his cyan wings seemed to grow directly from his back, whereas the base of Moira Lynch’s White Wings hovered a short distance away from her body.

Kai York looked at the White Wings behind Moira, a flicker of shock on his face, but he quickly composed himself. The two of them flapped their wings and flew toward the sky.

A few minutes later, a thousand meters above the sea, they finally saw their target.

It was a massive, magnificent spaceship. In fact, what they were seeing was only a fraction of it, which gave them some idea of its true, immense scale.

As they drew closer, a hatch on the ship slowly opened. A figure completely covered in silver armor, holding a weapon and piloting a Flying Device, flew out toward them.

Upon reaching them, the figure asked in a cold voice, "Which of you is Moira Lynch?"

"I am," Moira Lynch replied.

The person was covered head to toe in silver armor, so Moira Lynch and Kai York couldn’t see their expression. Nevertheless, Moira could feel their scrutinizing gaze.

After a moment, the figure asked, "Where are Theodoric Graham and Laina Carlton now?"

Moira Lynch looked at the armored figure. "Are you sure you want me to release them out here?"

At her words, he realized she was right—this wasn’t the place. "Follow me."

With that, he turned and flew back toward the ship.

Moira Lynch and Kai York exchanged a glance and followed close behind.

Once inside the ship, the two were utterly stunned by the sight. It was no exaggeration to say it was like a mobile military base, a flying fortress.

A few people glanced at the two strangers, Moira Lynch and Kai York, with mild curiosity before returning to their own tasks.

"Oh, right, I haven’t introduced myself. My name is Keith," the armored man said. "I heard you caught two A-class wanted criminals. I thought you’d be at least an S-class adventurer, but I didn’t expect you to be so young."

Hearing this, Moira Lynch smiled modestly. "An S-class adventurer has to complete A-class or higher missions from The Federation. They wouldn’t be as idle as I am. I just got lucky. They let their guard down around me, and that’s how I managed to capture them."

"Even so, that’s still incredibly impressive. Those two have slipped through our fingers more times than I can count."

At this, something occurred to Moira Lynch. "Um, there’s something I should tell you. My method of attack is a bit... unique. As a result, those two might not be able to answer any of your questions right now."

Hearing this, Keith looked unconcerned and chuckled. "No problem. As long as they’re captured, that’s all that matters."

He then led them to a high-security chamber.

Inside the chamber were two cages made of some unknown material.

"Just put those two inside the cages."

At first, he’d assumed Moira had just said that because she’d been a little rough with them, so he hadn’t thought much of it.

With a wave of her hand, Moira Lynch tossed the two unconscious figures into the cages. They didn’t stir at all during the process.

After confirming their identities, Keith couldn’t hide the excitement in his eyes. But he still wondered why the two were unconscious.

He looked at Moira Lynch. "Did you poison them?"
