Kai York chose the latter without hesitation.

The door behind him slowly opened.

Then, to the astonishment of the other players, Kai York walked out of the room.

Lulu watched him leave and stood up, about to give chase.

She didn’t manage to catch up, however, and instead received a warning from the system.

[Warning! Player Lulu has left her workstation without authorization. This is a formal warning. A second offense will result in immediate revocation of game eligibility.]

The moment the message appeared, the indignant Lulu instantly fell silent.

Meanwhile, after leaving the room, Kai York looked at the scene outside, a hint of confusion in his eyes.

’How am I supposed to get out of here?’

After a brief moment of confusion, Kai York thought to ask his Intelligent Brain for help.

At the same time Kai York was following the navigation out of the mystery box factory, Moira Lynch finally finished collecting everything from all the warehouses.

Although this factory produced toys, they were oversized toys made for larger-sized races. An adult would have no problem using them.

Stepping outside, she checked the time. It was already noon.

After a quick lunch, Moira Lynch headed toward her next destination.

This was a clothing factory.

At the factory gate, Moira Lynch skillfully introduced herself to the robot.

After scanning and confirming Moira Lynch’s identity, the robot accepted her story without suspicion and led her into the factory.

Compared to other robots, this one was clearly a chatterbox.

"Why do you volunteers help people for free?" the robot asked curiously, its large eyes wide.

"To make myself happy," Moira Lynch said after a moment of thought.

"Happy?"

’Working for free makes you happy? This person doesn’t look very old. Could she have been tricked by someone?’

"If you don’t take money, how do you support yourself?" the robot asked. "You should be an adult... right?"

Moira Lynch was about to say she was an adult, but then she had another thought. She was an adult on Caelus, but in this interstellar society, she was still a minor.

So she shook her head and answered truthfully, "No."

Now it was the robot’s turn to be shocked. It stopped in its tracks, its voice turning shrill. "No, no way! Hiring child labor is illegal!"

With that, the robot started to lead Moira Lynch back outside.

"That’s why I said I’m a volunteer. I’m helping out of my own free will, so it doesn’t count as employment. Besides, didn’t you just check my ID?"

Finally, after much persuasion from Moira Lynch, the robot agreed not to kick her out.

When they arrived at the warehouse, the robot confirmed one more time, "Are you sure this doesn’t count as child labor? You won’t sue us after you leave, right?"

"Don’t worry, I won’t sue you. I’m doing all of this voluntarily."

Having received another assurance, the robot departed, looking back every few steps. After all, it couldn’t be away from its post for too long.

Finally left in peace, Moira Lynch pushed open the warehouse doors. Inside was an entire warehouse piled high with all sorts of clothes, still in their packaging.

These must have been leftovers from previous sales or clothes that were simply too ugly to sell.

Looking at the warehouse full of clothes, Moira Lynch couldn’t help but feel the corner of her mouth twitch. ’Just how many ugly clothes did this factory produce?’

’With so many clothes, it’s surprising the factory didn’t turn them all into mystery boxes. I guess this place still has a conscience.’

What Moira Lynch didn’t know was that last year, this factory had indeed turned its unsellable ugly clothes into mystery boxes. The backlash was so severe they nearly had a public meltdown, so this year, they learned their lesson.

They didn’t dare try to fool consumers with these hideously ugly clothes again.

Moira Lynch looked over the clothes. They were a bit ugly, but that didn’t make them unwearable.

Besides, to drive sales, interstellar clothing always incorporated all sorts of innovations.

For example, the one in Moira Lynch’s hands looked like an ordinary outfit, but it could switch between four modes: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

Essentially, it was one outfit that could be worn all year round.

However, this item was pulled from the market not long after its production began. The reason was surprisingly because it was *too* versatile.

Since buying this one outfit meant people wouldn’t buy other clothes, complaints flooded in from many retailers.

The factory also found that with such an item available, sales of other types of clothing plummeted, so they decisively halted production.

The remaining stock was no longer sold to the public.

Moira Lynch spent some time clearing out all the clothes in the warehouse, while also planning whether to add a new section to her shop specifically for selling clothes.

But on second thought, doing so would definitely require remodeling the shop. ’That damn system is such a rip-off. Don’t think I don’t know it charges an arm and a leg every single time.’

"Forget it. I’ll just clear out a spot in the general goods section."

Leaving this warehouse, Moira Lynch went to another one.

’As a factory, how could it possibly have only one warehouse of ugly clothes?’

She opened the second warehouse. To be precise, it wasn’t filled with clothes but with formal wear—ugly formal wear.

Gazing at the gaudy and flashy outfits, Moira Lynch fell into deep thought.

’Honestly, they look pretty good just by themselves. You just can’t wear them out, or you’d instantly become the center of attention.’

Moira Lynch began to wonder, ’If I take these back, will anyone actually buy them?’

’Ah, whatever. I’ll just take them for now and worry about it later.’

While Moira Lynch was wrestling with the clothes, Shane Rhodes and Hugh Finch also completed their tasks one after another and left the mystery box factory.

However, they finished at different times, so they didn’t run into each other.

Following Moira Lynch’s earlier advice, they now had ID cards, bank cards, and money in hand.

Therefore, even when faced with an unfamiliar environment, they weren’t particularly panicked. Instead, they began to explore with great interest.

After all, opportunities like this were rare.

As he was walking, Shane Rhodes suddenly noticed a lively crowd up ahead. When he got closer, he realized it was a grand opening for a new store.

To attract attention, the store had set up a special challenge arena. Anyone who could defeat the person on stage without using any special talents would win a fully-automated robot worth a million, as well as one hundred thousand Gold Coins in cash.

The surrounding onlookers stared at the reigning champion on the stage—an enormous, fierce figure with muscles like small hills—but not a single person was willing to step forward.

’Are you kidding me? A million-dollar robot and a hundred thousand Gold Coins are tempting, but you have to be alive to collect them.’

’Look at that guy on the stage. They said there’s no risk of death, but if he hit me even once, I’d be laid up in the hospital for at least a week or two.’

Meanwhile, the host on stage was still hawking energetically.

His voice drew more and more people’s attention to the scene.
