But this was Moira Lynch, after all. A quick thought and she had a brilliant idea.

"I’m not here to apply for a job. I’m here to volunteer," Moira Lynch said with a smile.

"Volunteer?" The robot looked puzzled. "What is a ’volunteer’?"

"It means I’ll work for you, but without getting paid."

Hearing this, the robot’s eyes lit up. "Really?"

Sure enough, no one could refuse something for free, not even a robot.

Moira Lynch nodded. "It’s true. Truer than pure gold."

The robot hesitated for a moment, then said, "In that case, follow me."

With that, the robot led Moira Lynch into the factory.

Along the way, Moira Lynch saw no sign of any blind boxes and asked curiously, "Don’t you process blind boxes here?"

The robot replied casually, "We contract a blind box factory to make ours."

A few minutes later, Moira Lynch was led to the front of a warehouse—no, to be precise, to the front of a row of warehouses.

The robot pointed to the warehouses. "You can take everything inside."

The robot paused, glancing at Moira Lynch’s small build. ’She’s free labor, so I can’t be too demanding.’ It amended its instructions, "You don’t have to take it all. Just do what you can. No pressure."

Moira Lynch nodded. "Don’t worry, I won’t feel any pressure."

The robot nodded. "Good. I can’t be away from my post for too long, so I’ll be going now. Take your time collecting everything. There’s no rush."

After the robot left, Moira Lynch walked toward the nearest warehouse. She pushed open the door, and a cloud of dust billowed out.

Another ancient warehouse.

As the dust gradually settled, Moira Lynch finally got a clear look at the scene inside.

The warehouse was filled with all sorts of metal boxes.

"Patience, what are these?"

[These are cleaning robots, developed to clear trash and obstacles from roads. Due to their small size and low efficiency, they were unsuitable for large-scale cleanup and were quickly phased out.]

’Clear obstacles? Doesn’t that mean they can also clear snow and bugs?’

’What’s wrong with being small? It’s called being compact and unobtrusive.’

’Low efficiency? So what? They can just take their time.’

Moira Lynch extended her spiritual power and began moving the cleaning robots into her space.

After stowing away all the cleaning robots from the warehouse, Moira Lynch finally walked out and headed to the next one.

Pushing open the warehouse doors, she was met with another cloud of dust.

This time, however, Moira Lynch was prepared. She had already taken a few steps back. Only after the dust had mostly settled did she step inside.

"Is this... a motorcycle? Patience."

[Children’s Snowmobile: A snowmobile designed for the children of giant-sized races. However, because those races generally dislike snow, sales were abysmal, and the product was quickly discontinued.]

Moira Lynch looked at the snowmobile, which was taller than she was, and wondered just how big these ’children’ were.

Besides the snowmobiles, there was also a lot of other skiing equipment, like goggles with a night-vision function, specifically designed for night skiing.

There were also all kinds of automatic snowboards and snow survival gear, such as heated tents.

Among all the items, what attracted Moira Lynch’s attention the most was a large basin.

’Judging by the snowmobiles and ski equipment I’ve seen, this large basin must also be for skiing.’

[Skiing Basin: A prop designed for people who can’t ski but want to experience it. Due to its plain appearance, it was quickly replaced by newer models.]

Moira Lynch looked at the basins before her, which were all white. They were indeed a bit plain.

’But that’s fine. Others might have rejected them, but I won’t.’

’Besides, what’s wrong with white? White is great. In the snow, white is a natural camouflage.’

Moira Lynch began stuffing the warehouse’s contents into her space.

After coming out of the warehouse, Moira Lynch stretched, drank two bottles of Medicine to restore her spiritual power, and then continued to the next warehouse.

She finally understood why so many people were obsessed with opening blind boxes.

Right now, Moira Lynch was basically opening a blind box herself—a super-duper, mega-sized blind box.

With a feeling of excitement, Moira Lynch opened the third "blind box"...

「Meanwhile.」

Ever since they learned that Moira Lynch had already completed her task and left the blind box factory, Shane Rhodes, Kai York, and Hugh Finch couldn’t help but speed up their own work, trying to leave this place early as well.

Unlike Moira Lynch, who had to deal with an entire room’s worth of items by herself, their tasks were based on quantity.

They only needed to complete a fixed number to finish the task.

Take Kai York, for example. He needed to package one thousand doll blind boxes, which averaged out to two hundred a day.

After three days of hard work, Kai York only had one hundred left before he could complete his task and leave this godforsaken place.

Just then, a female player cautiously approached him.

"Um, my name is Lulu. Could I ask you for a favor?" she asked timidly.

"No," Kai York refused without even looking up.

Lulu was stunned by his refusal. ’Wait a second... you didn’t even ask what I needed? You just said no without so much as lifting your head.’

Kai York’s refusal made all of Lulu’s remaining words catch in her throat.

"I really need help. If you don’t help me, I’ll be eliminated from the game. We’re all players, shouldn’t we help each other out?"

Kai York’s hands never stopped moving. Hearing Lulu’s words, he couldn’t help but roll his eyes. "If you’re really that afraid of being eliminated, you should hurry up and finish your task instead of wasting time here with me. It’s only the fourth day."

The implication being: there was still plenty of time, so what was the rush?

In Kai York’s room, there were five other players. Besides him and one other person who were veteran players, the rest were all new.

When these people were first chosen for the game, they were incredibly excited. But it wasn’t long before that excitement wore off, and all that awaited them was tedious work.

After being rebuffed several times, Lulu stamped her foot hard and turned to leave, unwilling to give up.

But she hadn’t given up; she was just planning to try a different approach.

Kai York was unaware of her little scheme, and even if he had known, he wouldn’t have cared. He was about to finish his task anyway.

Just as Lulu was still plotting how to get Kai York, the only man in the room, to help her finish her task, he had already completed all of his.

[Congratulations, Player Daydream, for completing your task. You now have two choices. One: Continue working. You can earn a greater reward, and you will no longer be restricted by the game task.

Two: End the task. You will be free to do as you please for the remaining time, but you may not do anything that brings disgrace to this system. However, your pay will be significantly lower than that of other players.]
