Another World Mall

Chapter 1142: Tower of Wilderness

"We’re done here. Let’s head to the tower!" Clovis ordered after seeing Erwin and Aileen coming toward him.

The rest of the team started running toward the tower. They killed all the beasts in their path, but they would ignore the rest. Now that the Tier 9 beast had died, there was no longer a beast capable of giving an order.

So, the beasts were in disarray, allowing them to have an easier time making their way toward the tower.

It only took them a few minutes to reach the tower. In the end, they chose to abandon everything they had built on that hill.

However, Clovis had asked Melody to detonate everything they had planted so far. Then again, after all that battle, there weren’t many explosives left. Those that remained had been returned to Clovis, who sent them back to Another World Mall.

A few of them arrived at the tower first, securing the entrance. Then, after everyone had gathered at the entrance, Clovis said, "Jay, lead the second team and sweep the tower to the very bottom. Anyone who isn’t that interested in the tower can follow him.

"This is the Tower of Wilderness, so there might be beasts climbing the tower right now. It’s going to be dark, so be careful. Okay, are you guys ready? Let’s enter the tower."

All of them immediately rushed to the tower, not wanting to be the only one outside because the tower was sealed.

As soon as all of them entered, the tower was sealed, but two nearby beasts managed to enter as well. Fortunately, Jay and Aileen were quick enough to kill them.

Then, the rest of the beasts hit an invisible wall, which prevented them from entering. Even the Spear Saint had tried to destroy the barrier but to no avail.

So, Clovis felt assured now that the barrier was up.

"On me!" Jay shouted as he continued downward.

It looked like the majority of the team members weren’t that curious about the tower, especially since they didn’t have the system.

Meanwhile, Clovis, Melody, Luci, and Mara received the same notification. Still, Mara hadn’t gone around to visit the other towers, so she had less.

Clovis intended to bring her to the other towers after her existence was revealed. It looked like his schedule had sped up.

"All right. What kind of tower is this? It’s so dark..." Clovis looked around.

Melody used her senses to gain awareness of the space around her. She suddenly asked, "By the way, we need a flashlight."

"Here you go!" Clovis tossed the powerful flashlight that would light up the tower.

In that instant, they saw miniatures of terrains such as hills, mountain ranges, and other types of terrain.

"Wilderness... No, this kind of terrain..." Melody noticed something.

"What’s wrong?"

"This terrain... it’s not just the surface. There are models of the terrain in the underworld. If you look at those mountains and hills, you will notice that they seem to look quite small.

"Because of the structure of the underworld, no mountains can be taller than a few hundred meters.

"In other words, this Tower of Wilderness... No, we have to change that name, or maybe that’s a good name. The wilderness means all kinds of environments in this world. I’m afraid that there might be a miniature Earth here..." She looked around. "All we need is to find an access point to figure out other things."

As Melody said, they encountered a globe. The globe was extremely big, but more importantly, it was located on top of a machine.

Jay encountered it first and informed them about it because it looked so weird before continuing on their journey. However, some of them chose to stay behind because the globe looked amusing.

"Hmm... The planet here..." Melody sucked in a cold breath. The globe had many lights on it. In addition, it was translucent.

"As expected, these green lights here are the towers. We’re currently in this place." Melody pointed to a certain green light. "Maybe we can access this place..."

Melody looked around the machine to see if she had a way to control it. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem she could access the information. "Hmm... nothing?"

"Maybe we’ve already gotten the data from the Tower of Darkness and the Tower of Storage." Clovis frowned.

"That’s a possibility." Melody couldn’t help but agree. "Maybe that’s why. For now, let’s document everything. We’ll decide what to do after that."

"Yeah."

While they were working, Melody couldn’t help but say, "This is the fifth tower. Now that I think about it, we have visited the Tower of Darkness, the Tower of Physics, the Tower of Storage, the Tower of Beasts, and the Tower of Wilderness.

"The Tower of Darkness provides us with the source code of this world. We can only see it, but not access it.

"The Tower of Physics controls the physics in this world, especially that gravity that gave me motion sickness. Just imagining it makes my stomach churn.

"The Tower of Storage is the data of the world’s progress over the past few decades.

"The Tower of Beasts contains all information about the beasts in this world, while the Tower of Wilderness has the environment data.

"If we think about it, what are we missing?"

"The two last towers are known as the Tower of the Lake and the Tower of the Cycle. I’m not sure what the Tower of the Cycle means, but the Tower of the Lake... is it going to be something like the liquid in this world?"

"The sea? I don’t think so. If that’s the case, it’s better to put it in this tower." Melody shook her head. "However, I think that the Tower of the Cycle means the cycle of life and death in this world.

"When you think about it, how do beasts reproduce? They don’t seem to get along enough to reproduce, but for some reason, their numbers seem unlimited."

"You mean they’re like... spawned into this world?"

"If I’m the creator of this world and this world is just a simulation, then yes. The beasts should be spawned just like in the game." Melody nodded.

"So, no matter what we do, the beasts will continue to spawn." Clovis crossed his arms.
