Chapter 1143: Heading to the Sixth Tower

"That’s problematic." Clovis rubbed his temples.

"Well, that’s how it works. However, I just can’t understand the Tower of the Lake. I doubt it will be as simple as water. There should be something behind it. It won’t be that simple." Melody frowned. No matter how hard she thought about it, she couldn’t figure out the reasons.

Clovis shrugged. "All we need to do is enter that tower and find out. Though, that might be the key to leaving this world."

"Yeah. I don’t plan to think about matters related to the real world right now. Rather, I’m wondering the reason you’re here, Clovis."

"Do you mean the reason we built this world for me?" Clovis asked for confirmation.

"Yes. Considering Mara’s strength, it’s obvious that you may already be stronger than Mara in the real world. Yet, despite all that, it looks like we’re in a dire situation. In that case, what makes us so desperate? Why are you in this world? I feel like I can figure out the Tower of the Lake if I have enough time, but I can’t figure out anything about your motives."

Clovis looked up, falling into deep thought. "To be honest, I have never asked that question. I always think that I will be able to find the answer as long as I leave this world. But if you think about it, it might be an answer I need to find before leaving this world. Whether I can find it or not is a different matter. There’s a chance that the me in the real world is blocking that information."

"That’s true." Melody nodded. "I don’t think it’s for training. The beasts in this world, including the Tier 9 beasts, shouldn’t be stronger than you in reality. Of course, that’s just a speculation from Mara’s strength, but I think it’s pretty accurate."

"Yeah. I agree with that one. Maybe something like trapping the Prophet? The Prophet might be an enemy from the outside, judging from all the voices I’ve heard."

"That’s a possibility, but the Prophet infiltrated this world, right?"

"Well, you could always trap him like that. I mean, it’s not the first time I’m using myself as bait."

"Getting into this world, forcing the Prophet to chase you in this world, and defeat the Prophet in this world..."

"Something like that." Clovis nodded.

"Sounds a bit too thin for me, but I guess this is the most reasonable one we can think of."

"For now, yes." Clovis nodded. "Let’s finish this first. We can’t allow the Prophet to gain enough time to think of a countermeasure. How about Hana?"

"Hana has sent the airship for us. From the time given to me, the ETA is 37 minutes."

"All right, then. We will head to the next tower right away using the airship. We can’t afford to waste a single minute. Besides, we will be facing the top two—Edward Grant and Xali Kekna."

Melody sighed. "Well, it’s something we’ve expected, so it’s better to just suck it up. I’m more worried that they will attack us during the wedding. Even if Edward Grant and Xali Kekna don’t like the idea, it doesn’t change the fact that our marriage will be our most vulnerable time. In fact, even a honeymoon is better because we will be traveling nonstop.

"On the other hand, the marriage ceremony will be held in one place, so they will have plenty of time to plan for an attack."

Clovis thought for a moment. "From the looks of it, my great-grandmother is planning to do something big at that time. We will try to reinforce the security, but I’m not entirely sure about that.

"However, if the Prophet is going to attack us at that time, we can prepare our own traps. Besides, he won’t be able to bring a lot of groups. The problem is, if he uses a nuke or something."

"I don’t think it’s going to be that way." Melody shook her head. "But yeah, we can’t rule out that possibility."

"I will consult with my great-grandmother about this." Clovis waved his hand.

"Do that." Melody looked at the report. "For now, Grandpa Michael and Grandpa Ezekiel are already moving toward the Tower of the Cycle. We don’t know the enemy’s response yet. Are we going to continue to have them march toward this tower?"

"For now, yes. However, the Prophet is smart. He will know this is a bluff, but at the same time, he can’t ignore it. If he continues this way, we will have a clash with them and win. That’s why he can’t risk it."

"Fair point. We originally intended to sneak attack them and kill maybe the Sword Saint, but I guess we’re not so lucky."

"Yeah. It wasn’t anybody’s fault... maybe mine. I should have considered the possibility of the Moon Bow’s last struggle to be something like this." Clovis shook his head helplessly.

"No one could expect that." Melody waved her hand. "There’s nothing else going on right now."

"Okay. Let’s finish this up and leave."

Melody agreed and started sweeping the place. After capturing everything they needed, they waited outside the tower. They didn’t intend to let the airship land here. Fortunately, Rea was big enough to carry several of them at the same time.

She simply carried them to the sky. Hana’s subordinates were the ones managing the ship. Clovis coordinated with the leader. Although this move could cause an international issue, he couldn’t care less about it anymore.

There was simply nothing that could stop them. Besides, Clovis’s reputation was already good enough that it wouldn’t be shaken easily by one or two international issues.

Besides, he could bury a lot of news by using his marriage news.

In the end, the airship crossed the border and started heading toward the Tower of the Cycle.

Crossing the border would make them visible, which was what Clovis wanted since he wanted them to know that the Prophet was once again defeated in their exchange.

The final battle was approaching.
