Chapter 1708: Part 3: Quasi-God Domain

Main Post (United City)

The elders in the hall were caught off guard. Well aware of the factions within the Quasi-God Domain, they each moved to handle their respective incoming transmissions.

Every one of them represented a specific faction, family, or clan.

Elder Freya went to check if there was any message from Quasi-God Jane’s assistant. To her surprise, a transmission was waiting. She immediately stepped away to take the call in private.

Meanwhile, the other council elders were answering their own calls, wearing grave expressions-none of them had anticipated that the situation on the main battlefield would cause this much of an uproar.

Elder Freya was in the private room. She stood in front of the transmission mirror. The mirror then activated. The image of a black-haired middle-aged woman appeared.

The middle-aged woman was none other than the assistant of Quasi-God Jane.

She said, "Elder Freya, Master has a few instructions for you."

Elder Freya nodded.

"Master Jane has added Zack Lockwood’s name to our faction. Therefore, he is part of the Star God Faction now," she said.

Hearing that, Freya’s heart stirred up a storm. She couldn’t believe the news. She knew what it meant to be included in the Star God Faction. Only Quasi-Gods were allowed to join.

She had never heard of anyone joining the faction while still at the level of the Red Mark Rank.

"Master wants you to meet Zack Lockwood and update him about the Quasi-God Domain and the Star God Faction," the female assistant added.

"Okay," Freya replied.

The female assistant said a couple of things before ending the transmission.

Elder Freya tried to calm her racing heart. At the same time, she grew excited about another fact: Zack Lockwood was a member of her clan. Her clan member had become part of the Star God Faction.

It was not only good news for Star University, but also for their Ball Bloodline Clan. Their clan was in a state of decline. It was not what it used to be, especially compared to the time of their Ancestor Ball.

If Zack Lockwood succeeded in the future, their Ball Clan would benefit alongside Star University. After sorting out her thoughts, she left the private room.

She also knew that Zack Lockwood’s genius could no longer be hidden.

Since he had become a faction member, he had gained protection, but other Quasi-Gods would soon learn of his inheritances and bloodline power.

While returning, she realized that the other council elders were still engaged in their conversations.

She thought that they might reveal the details of their operation. They could not hide the matter of the special battlefield and the orders of Quasi-God Jane.

"Fortunately, Quasi-God Jane acted quickly," she thought to herself.

A few minutes later, she returned to the Council Hall. By now, the hall was empty. She took out her device and texted Zack Lockwood.

She told him that she would visit him in an hour and advised him to get ready.

...

Residence,

I was resting on the sofa a few minutes earlier, but the text message from Elder Freya woke me up. Knowing that she was coming over, I wondered what this was about.

I got up and began to tidy up the place.

"Are they going to send you to the main battlefield?" the ancient spirit asked.

It had seen the message as well.

"I don’t know. Let’s see," I replied.

An hour later, I changed into my uniform and waited for Elder Freya to arrive.

Knock!

It didn’t take long for a knock to sound at the door.

I went to answer it.

Creak!

I opened the door and saw an elderly woman standing outside. She was none other than Elder Freya. I greeted her and led her inside.

Freya smiled and stepped into the room. We walked over to the living area.

"Elder Freya, please sit down," I told her.

Freya sat comfortably on the cushioned chair. She gestured for me to sit as well.

I sat in the chair opposite her.

"Elder, what brings you here?" I asked.

Freya took a deep breath before saying, "There is good news. I was contacted by Quasi-God Jane’s assistant."

Hearing that, my heart stirred up a storm.

"I didn’t expect the battlefield results to alert Quasi-God Jane," I blurted out.

Elder Freya smiled and said, "You are right. The battlefield results have alerted the entire Quasi-God Domain."

"Quasi-God Domain?" I replied.

"Yes, it’s related to the good news. The Quasi-God Domain is where all the Quasi-Gods reside. It’s a world of its own," Freya said.

"If you break past the limit of the Red Mark Rank, you will become a Quasi-God. Then you will enter that domain, where you will be given your own dimension to live in," she added.

My eyes flashed with understanding.

Freya continued, "Let me tell you the good news first. Quasi-God Jane has added your name to her faction, the Star God Faction. This time, the top-ranked elite creatures came in large numbers."

"We diverted most of them to your special battlefield. Only a few of them entered the main battlefield. Even so, the death toll there was sky-high. Only you managed to wipe them out inside the special battlefield."

"The news could not be concealed. Up until now, top-ranked elites were only seen on the sky battlefield. For the first time in recent history, their descendants descended upon the Red Mark Battlefield," she added.

I listened with bated breath. I had no idea so much was happening behind the scenes. I already knew the top-ranked elites were abnormal.

They could draw upon more dark origin power, and they could withstand the force of ancient inheritances. It had taken the combined strength of all my ancient inheritances to kill them.

Elder Freya said, "This prompted the Quasi-Gods to investigate what happened. If they learn about you, it could be both good and bad news. You possess multiple inheritances, and malicious individuals might covet them."

"To protect you, Quasi-God Jane added you to her faction. You should be grateful. The Star God Faction is one of the most powerful factions. Most of its members graduated from Star University hundreds of years ago," she added.

Hearing that, my heart raced. I had not expected my name to be thrust into the spotlight from a single battle against the top-ranked elite creatures.
