Ancient Tears BloodLine
Chapter 1709: Part 4: Quasi-God Domain
Residence
I calmed my heart quickly. I came to the understanding that I cannot live in the shadows anymore, since all the Quasi-Gods are going to know about me. I have to be ready to face the upcoming challenges.
Elder Freya saw that Zack Lockwood had become calm and composed rather quickly. Her eyes flashed with surprise and appreciation. She then began to talk more about the Quasi-God Domain.
She was doing so as per the orders of the Quasi-God Domain.
Seeing that she was taking more time to explain, I took this opportunity to listen carefully. If any doubt arose, I decided to ask her.
As time went by,
She talked more about the other factions and shared her own experiences. She was not only a council elder here, but also a clan elder, so she shared more information in that capacity.
She shed some light on the powerhouses above the Quasi-God ranks: the Demigods, Gods, and Titled Gods.
Freya also used this opportunity to talk about the Ancestor Ball.
On the other hand, I knew the fact that Elder Freya was a bloodline clan elder. Seeing that she was talking more about the bloodline power and clan secrets, I didn’t stop her.
I wanted to know more about the Ancestor Ball. Freya then shifted the topic to the Ancestor Ball.
"You have bloodline power as well. As a clan elder, I want to remind you of something. You will not only face people who covet your inheritance; you will also come across the descendants of our enemies," Freya said.
"Descendants of the enemies," I uttered.
"Yes, they are the enemies of the Ancestor Ball. Their descendants might want to cause trouble for you," she said.
Hearing that, I was taken aback. It was the first time I had heard about the Ancestor Ball’s enemies.
"Do they still target us?" I asked.
"Yes, they are one of the reasons for the decline of our clan. Many talented clan members have died under various circumstances. It happened in our history before my time, so I cannot determine the exact reasons behind their deaths," Freya replied.
A look of seriousness settled over my face-to think there were people after my clan. Our real enemies were the foreign creatures, yet infighting persisted.
"If people try to harm you, don’t spare them. The human side is being weakened by internal conflict," the ancient spirit said.
"I will not spare them if they cross my path," I replied in my mind.
Freya saw that Zack Lockwood was listening keenly. She sighed internally.
She assumed Zack Lockwood identified as a member of the clan. She knew he had grown up entirely outside the family and had doubted whether he would see himself as a clan member.
Now, she felt relieved seeing Zack Lockwood listening attentively to her information. She then shared tips on becoming a Quasi-God Bloodline Warrior. The key lay in the visualization method.
So, she shared her experiences regarding visualization methods, possessing decades more experience than Zack Lockwood.
As time went by,
Night fell. Elder Freya decided to leave, exiting the room. I went to see her off. Once she had gone, I shut the door and returned to the sofa.
I sat down on the sofa and took time to digest the information. The details shared by Elder Freya were genuinely useful.
"Your path beyond the Quasi-God realm was already paved by your seniors. Next, you must break the Red Mark Limit to become a Quasi-God," the ancient spirit said.
"I’m grateful. I can only repay them by slaying the foreign creatures," I replied.
The ancient spirit clearly knew many things, but it still decided to let Zack Lockwood become a Quasi-God first. Sharing everything now would be too much of an information dump.
It knew the Elder had just left after revealing several secrets, and it felt Zack Lockwood needed time to digest them. So, it held back the news for now.
Since it was nighttime, I decided to sleep. I returned to the bedroom to rest.
...
Meanwhile,
The council elders, just as Elder Freya had mentioned, shared everything with their higher-ups. They reported on their operation across the two battlefields.
A special battlefield had been prepared for Zack Lockwood, while the main battlefield was reserved for the rest of the Red Mark Warriors.
The council elders also shared Zack Lockwood’s background information and his record in the night cell tower. Furthermore, they reported on Quasi-God Jane.
The representatives of the Quasi-Gods were speaking with the council elders. After hearing the news, they were quite shocked; they had not expected such a genius to emerge from humanity’s side.
They began connecting the dots, deducing that the appearance of the top-ranked elite creatures might be related to Zack Lockwood, as he had slain them in large numbers on previous battlefields.
They decided to report to their respective Quasi-Gods immediately. It did not take long for the transmissions to conclude one after another, and the council elders breathed a sigh of relief.
They began returning to the council hall one by one, relieved of their anxiety. They had initially worried that the representatives were there to reprimand them.
Fortunately, they had only come to gather information. The council elders assembled in the hall and began discussing the situation. They needed to talk about Zack Lockwood.
The council elders were no fools. They could tell that the top-ranked elite creatures might have approached the main battlefield to gather intelligence, prompting the elders to use two battlefields to manage the crisis.
Zack Lockwood had performed so exceptionally that he forced the foreign creatures to act. Now that their Quasi-Gods were informed, Zack Lockwood’s name would soon become famous.
Not only would his name spread across the Quasi-God Domain, but it would also become renowned on the dark planet.
What they did not realize, however, was that Zack Lockwood’s name was already well-known among the foreign creatures.
The elite foreign creatures, in particular, had wanted to eliminate him. They had been trying from the very beginning-including Venom Maw-yet they had failed repeatedly to kill him.
Their attempts at the main outpost had failed. Now, Zack Lockwood’s existence would become widely known, and he would face even greater dangers in the future.
The council elders had tried to shield Zack Lockwood for as long as they could, but they could no longer do so moving forward. Everyone turned their attention toward Elder Freya.
