A flicker of light crossed Pei Ze’s eyes. This was somewhat unexpected.

The gaunt Wizard across from him, however, paled instantly.

Back on the third floor, he had witnessed Pei Ze’s power firsthand. He was well aware that his chances of winning against him were incredibly slim.

That said, he had fought hard to reach the fourth floor. He couldn’t bring himself to just admit defeat.

As his thoughts raced, the gaunt Wizard gritted his teeth. He decided to risk it all and launched a preemptive strike against Pei Ze.

A brilliant light flared as a Summoning Array suddenly materialized on the ground in the center of the arena. From within it burst a massive monster. Its body was covered in variegated, tiger-like stripes, but it had the head of a skull. It roared as it lunged toward Pei Ze.

’A Bone-faced Spotted Beast, is it?’

Pei Ze instantly recognized the creature’s origin. It was an Otherworldly Creature at the Third Level of Liquefaction.

Seeing this, he simply cast a Level 6 Monster Summoning Technique as well.

As a new light appeared, another Otherworldly Creature materialized in the arena—this one with the head of a lion and the body of a man.

"A Lion-headed Divine Envoy!"

When the other six Wizards saw the face of the creature Pei Ze had summoned, they all gasped in unison.

The Lion-headed Divine Envoy was a Level 3 Crystalized creature, far more powerful than a Giant Skull Demon or a Giant Bull Demon. It could even hold its own against a Wolf Snake Demon.

It wasn’t the Divine Envoy’s power that surprised the six of them, but the fact that Pei Ze was able to summon it at all.

Normally, the Monster Summoning Technique could only summon Otherworldly Creatures with a power level lower than the Caster.

Level 3 Crystalized Wizards like them could typically only summon Otherworldly Creatures at the Third Level of Gasification.

If the Magic was augmented through inscription, the summoned creature’s power could be raised to the Third Level of Liquefaction, just like the Bone-faced Spotted Beast summoned by the gaunt Wizard.

But not only was the Otherworldly Creature Pei Ze summoned at the Level 3 Crystalized tier, it was a Lion-headed Divine Envoy—one of the most formidable creatures of that rank. This was truly astonishing.

’Modified Magic?’ Wen Huachun’s eyes lit up slightly.

His curiosity about Pei Ze was growing by the second.

The outcome was decided in a single clash, revealing the vast disparity in their strength.

Having dealt with the Bone-faced Spotted Beast, the Lion-headed Divine Envoy charged toward the gaunt Wizard without a moment’s pause.

The Wizard’s expression changed at the sight, and he hurriedly cast Magic to intercept it.

But just then, a thunderous boom erupted by his ear. The gaunt Wizard looked over in horror to see innumerable bolts of brilliant lightning sweeping toward him, blanketing everything.

On closer inspection, one would see that the "lightning bolts" were actually metal spikes. The electrical arcs wrapping around them were just so intense that they almost completely concealed the spikes themselves.

The fierce, violent aura of the lightning washed over him, and the gaunt Wizard’s face drained of color. He hastily threw up a shield to block it.

The shield was metal, its surface engraved with dense, arcane patterns. It was his only Tier Three Witchcraft Artifact, and it had been improved with numerous rare materials, placing it among the very best of its tier.

The gaunt Wizard had thought his Tier Three Witchcraft Artifact could at least block the attack for a moment. To his astonishment, the shield was blasted away by the lightning in the very next second. With a faint cracking sound, several fissures appeared on its surface.

However, the Wizard had no time to feel the sting of his loss.

As he watched in horror, the raging lightning slammed into his body. The numerous layers of Protective Magic on him shattered in an instant.

The fear of death instantly consumed him. With no trace of wishful thinking left, the gaunt Wizard hastily activated the rune on the back of his hand, transforming into a streak of light that shot into the sky.

The match was decided!

A golden light once again enveloped Pei Ze. He vanished in an instant, reappearing at the edge of the arena.

The arena fell silent. The crowd was speechless.

Although they had all expected Pei Ze to win, no one thought he would do so with such ease.
