Chapter 366: Chapter 199: Red Dragon God Chasssa, the Demon Gate

Once might have been a fluke, but two impressive performances in a row were enough to prove this person was remarkably skilled.

He wondered which Wizard City the man was from. The intelligence gathered beforehand hadn’t mentioned anyone like him among the marked opponents they were supposed to watch out for.

"That’s... an Alchemy Engraving!" Fei Xian’s gaze sharpened.

"That’s right," Wen Huachun said, looking at Pei Ze in the distance with great interest. "It’s an Alchemy Engraving called an Energy Force Field."

"As for that silver skin, it must be the effect of some kind of wizarding tool. It looks a bit like a Silverstar, but I don’t recall Silverstar having the ability to fuse with its wielder. Then again, it’s not impossible. Silverstar has immense growth potential, and its evolved abilities differ depending on the cultivation method. Perhaps he’s developed his own exclusive way of nurturing it. How interesting."

Fei Xian glanced at Wen Huachun, whose eyes were gleaming as he muttered to himself.

He and Wen Huachun had known each other for years. He knew the man was incredibly knowledgeable, so if Wen Huachun said it, it was almost certainly true.

Fei Xian immediately lost interest.

’I thought he was a powerful opponent, but it turns out he’s just some guy who coasted through by relying on an Alchemy Engraving and a wizarding tool.’

While Wizards didn’t shy away from using external items to enhance their strength, such enhancements had to be built upon a solid foundation. For a Crystal Wizard, that foundation was their Spiritual Power and their mastery over elemental forces.

’In this Battle of the Holy Ring, the only ones worthy of my attention are Wen Huachun and Ye Sinan.’

Fei Xian looked away and continued onward.

Wen Huachun, however, seemed quite interested in the Alchemy Engraving and wizarding tool Pei Ze possessed, occasionally shooting him a scrutinizing look.

Pei Ze paid the surrounding stares no mind, continuing to walk forward at a leisurely pace.

Once activated, the Energy Force Field Alchemy Engraving formed a temporary defensive field. It could block all kinds of damage from every direction, including, but not limited to, physical attacks, elemental damage, spiritual attacks, and psychic attacks.

This Alchemy Engraving was the perfect counter to the dragon’s might.

Coupled with the protection from his Silverstar, the suppressive effect of the dragon’s might on Pei Ze was significantly weakened.

With his current physique, which was at Tier Seven and approaching Tier Eight Legend, enduring it was almost laughably easy.

Before long, Pei Ze was the first to arrive at the pillar of light.

He didn’t enter at once. Instead, he sized up the nearby Red Dragon God Chasssa, a fervent glint in his eyes.

The body and blood of a Divine Spirit were incomparably rare materials, and dragons were famously treasures from head to tail. Since Red Dragon God Chasssa was both a Divine Spirit and a dragon, even the smallest piece taken from its body would be an incredibly coveted and precious material.

In the end, however, Pei Ze suppressed the thought.

’This is the Tower of the Holy Ring, after all. The Alliance would never let the participants run wild.’

Sighing with some regret, Pei Ze retracted his gaze and stepped into the pillar of light without looking back.

A dazzling light instantly filled his vision.

The moment his vision returned, Pei Ze scanned his surroundings.

Before him lay a boundless void, like a star-filled sky, yet there were no stars or galaxies—only a blood-red crimson.

In the far distance, he could faintly see meteors streaking past, trailing flames as they fell toward some unknown destination.

Pei Ze was currently in a circular plaza, about twenty to thirty thousand square meters in area.

And in this space, there were nearly a hundred similar plazas.

With flashes of light, Wizards began to appear one after another on the various plazas.

Once every plaza was occupied by a Wizard, eight perfectly round, milky-white orbs of light materialized in the void above them, emanating a potent spatial aura.

Before the Wizards could figure out the purpose of these milky-white orbs, a sudden change occurred.

At almost the exact same moment, a blood-red gate, one hundred meters tall and over thirty meters wide, materialized out of thin air on every plaza. Its frame was embedded with eight wide, staring, ice-cold eyes that gave off a sinister and eerie aura.

From behind the gate, beast-like roars could be faintly heard.

"What is this?"

"Is that a Dimensional Passage? Some kind of Summoning Spell?"

"Wait, that smell... it’s sulfur!"

The sudden turn of events made the Wizards’ expressions turn grave. When they caught the stench of sulfur filling the air, they instantly formed a theory, and their faces grew even more solemn.

As if to confirm their suspicions, the first eye on the right side of each gate’s frame snapped shut.

At the same time, the blood-red gates rumbled open, and a hideous, grotesque monster charged out.

ROAR!

The monster was tall and muscular. It looked something like a Gargoyle, but with small, bat-like horns and ears.

Its fangs and claws were long and sharp. Scales covered its wings and skin. Its back and limbs were black as ink, while its chest and abdomen were a pale, dusky gray.

’A Soul-Stealing Demon!’

Pei Ze recognized the monster’s origin instantly. Just as he’d thought—it was a demon from Bator Hell!

The Soul-Stealing Demon was a Mid-to-High Tier Demon.

Adult Soul-Stealing Demons possessed power ranging from the Level 2 Liquefaction to the Crystallization stage. They were swift, cruel, and cunning, and could change their surface color at will. In Hell, they were notoriously ruthless hunters.

The Soul-Stealing Demon before him was clearly an adult. According to the feedback from his Eye of Omniscience, its power was roughly equivalent to the Level 2 Crystallization stage.

This level of power was trivial to Pei Ze. He didn’t even need to use his Silverstar. A single bolt of lightning was enough to turn the Soul-Stealing Demon to cinder.

The scenes on the other plazas were much the same.

The Wizards who had reached the third level were all powerful in their own right. A single Soul-Stealing Demon at the Level 2 Crystallization stage posed no threat to them whatsoever, and they dispatched their opponents effortlessly.
