After Pampering Her 5 Beast Husbands, the Villainess Struck It Rich
Chapter 220: An Overwhelming Sense of Guilt
Chapter 220: Chapter 217: An Overwhelming Sense of Guilt
Bai Zhi asked suspiciously, “How do you know all this so clearly?”
Sang Mo fell silent for a few seconds at Bai Zhi’s question. He looked away and said, a little awkwardly, “I accidentally overheard them.”
She watched him, trying to read his expression. To her surprise, she noticed his ears were slightly red. He seemed like someone who rarely lied; even though his face remained expressionless, his tense jawline and tightly pursed lips betrayed his discomfort.
A knowing smile appeared on Bai Zhi’s face. She didn’t press the matter, instead turning back to catching the falling petals.
Sang Mo had expected Bai Zhi to either not believe him or to press him for details. But after waiting a while in silence, he turned and saw her catching petals, a brilliant smile on her fair face. The wind sent petals drifting down, and a few landed in her hair. She reached up to pluck them out, only for a couple more to settle in their place.
Bai Zhi wasn’t annoyed, but since more petals were landing than she could remove, she eventually just gave up.
A hint of a smile flashed in Sang Mo’s eyes as he watched her. Bai Zhi vaguely sensed someone’s gaze on her, but when she turned to look, she saw that Sang Mo had already turned his head away.
Bai Zhi was a little puzzled. ‘Was it just my imagination?’ she wondered, and turned back around.
The tree was massive, so large that it would take three or four adult Beastmen linking arms to encircle its trunk.
A faint, sweet fragrance wafted on the breeze. She had to admit, just being here for a little while was enough to lift her spirits.
The sadness Bai Zhi had felt over Sang Mo’s difficult past began to fade after just a short while here. She turned, tilting her head up slightly to ask him, “Are you feeling any better?”
Sang Mo lowered his gaze to her and hummed in affirmation, his Adam’s apple bobbing with the sound.
Bai Zhi clasped her hands behind her back and leaned in slightly to look up at him. ‘Sang Mo’s eyes are actually quite beautiful,’ she thought. It was just that he always gave off an unapproachable vibe. And since he used to despise her, always speaking with snide remarks and never giving her a pleasant look, she had rarely studied him so closely.
The way he lowered his gaze to look at her now made Bai Zhi realize with a start that his eyes were so deep, just being stared at by him gave her the feeling that she could fall right in.
They were dark and cold, but they also seemed to hold a hint of hidden tenderness.
But most people didn’t even dare to meet his gaze, so how could anyone ever discover the heart that longed for love hidden beneath his cold exterior?
Just then, a petal landed in the hair over his forehead.
Bai Zhi noticed and reached up to pluck it away. But the moment her fingers brushed against his hair, before she could even touch the petal, he seized her wrist.
The next second, his grip tightened, and he yanked her into his arms. The instant she crashed against his chest, a cool breath descended upon her. An arm wrapped around her waist, trapping her against him as his cool lips pressed against hers.
The petal in his hair drifted slowly to the ground with the movement.
His movements were urgent and fierce. As if that wasn’t enough, he spun her around, and the next thing Bai Zhi knew, her back was slammed against the tree.
Pinned against the tree, Bai Zhi let out a low grunt from the impact. “Mmph…”
They kissed for who knows how long before Sang Mo, seemingly finding her clothes to be a nuisance, frowned slightly and tore them open.
RIIIP—
The sudden chill on her chest made Bai Zhi gasp. “Ah…”
But Bai Zhi had only just widened her eyes. Before she could say a word, Sang Mo—as if reading her mind—pulled something from his personal space and completely shielded their surroundings.
From a distance, the entire structure looked like a silkworm cocoon.
It was clear from their past few times together that Bai Zhi didn’t like being exposed, especially not in a place like this.
Besides, he didn’t want anyone else to see Bai Zhi’s body either.
So, it was less about saving Bai Zhi from embarrassment and more about his own possessiveness—an unwillingness to let anyone else see her.
Sang Mo even took a moment to pull out a small, soft divan that could generously be called a ‘bed.’ This was because he was so lazy he’d lie down rather than sit any chance he got, so he carried the little divan everywhere. He never thought he’d actually use it here.
Bai Zhi was laid upon the little divan. Because he was with her, Sang Mo’s body temperature had adjusted to a suitable level so as not to make her uncomfortable.
Bai Zhi could never have imagined that simply reaching for a flower petal would lead to her first-ever outdoor tryst.
Hearing the rustling, Bai Zhi groggily glanced over. She saw that Sang Mo had arranged everything quite well; at least they didn’t have to worry about being seen. She breathed a sigh of relief.
Her body quickly responded to Sang Mo’s touch, her passion swiftly kindled.
Bai Zhi wrapped her arms around his neck and offered herself to him.
As their passion deepened, a few more petals drifted inside their private space.
Their temporary little ‘bed’ became sprinkled with petals. The location and the situation stirred a unique, new emotion in both of their hearts.
Bai Zhi didn’t know if it was because they were outdoors under the sprawling tree or because of the thrill that someone could stumble upon them at any moment, but she found her body was far more sensitive than usual. It wasn’t long before she was sent over the edge.
Sang Mo was also different from usual. If their past encounters had been for the sake of leveling up and increasing their spiritual power, then today, he was exercising the utmost patience, waiting for her to acclimate. Though still urgent and fierce, he was completely attentive to her feelings.
Seeing her face flush with desire for him, Sang Mo’s dark eyes grew impossibly deep, and his body became even more aroused.
After several rounds, Bai Zhi was left pliant and unwilling to move.
But Sang Mo clearly hadn’t had his fill yet and had to resort to other methods.
After a long while, Sang Mo gently cleaned Bai Zhi, then packed away the enclosure and the divan beneath them before carrying her back in his arms.
When Yue Junxiao saw Sang Mo returning with Bai Zhi in his arms, his keen Beastman sense of smell immediately detected the powerful scent of Sang Mo all over her. Clearly, they must have done it many times for the scent to be so potent.
Yue Junxiao’s expression shifted multiple times before finally settling into a pitiful pout. He gazed at Bai Zhi and whined, “Wife, you’re finally back! We were looking for you for so long…”
Bai Zhi was mortified, unsure of what to say.
‘Should I tell him I actually heard them looking for me?’
‘But that Sang Mo had taken me away, and we… got busy, so that’s why I’m late?’
‘Every time something like this happens,’ she thought, ‘I feel like I’ve just been caught cheating.’
The feeling of having an affair was palpable.
