Chapter 78: Chapter 78: Sebastian Lancaster Is Serious About Killing

Noelle Lynch was a bit shocked, still not realizing what she had said wrong.

Wasn’t everyone saying that Erin Whittaker was Julian Fletcher’s one true love, and Cecilia Caldwell was just some shameless woman who failed to seduce him?

"Come on, everyone, have a seat," the class president directed, getting everyone at the reunion to sit down.

I sneered.

Noelle had clearly provoked Julian. I had been pregnant when I died, which was a taboo and unspeakable subject for him.

"Everyone must be hungry, right? Let’s eat," the teacher said, quickly changing the subject. She didn’t know how to defuse this kind of situation either.

They were all her students.

"Did President Fletcher hear something he shouldn’t have? Did it strike a nerve? If you play with fire, you’re going to get burned. In the dead of night, aren’t you and your current fiancée afraid of seeing a ghost?" I sneered, walking over to Erin Whittaker and speaking in a low voice. "Erin, secrets always come out. Cecilia Caldwell’s phone calls were recorded. Did you think you were safe just because you went to great lengths to destroy that recording? Despite all your scheming... that recording will be recovered sooner or later."

Erin Whittaker’s face went pale as she stared at me. She nervously clenched her fists, her breathing ragged as she took a step back. "Don’t go too far."

"What... what are you planning to do?" she asked me quietly.

"Me?" I laughed. "I’m not planning to do anything. I just want to see how you end up."

Erin Whittaker clenched her hands and lowered her voice. "Silvia Lynch, that’s enough. You’re not Cecilia Caldwell..."

I furrowed my brow. ’She actually knows my name is Silvia Lynch. Looks like she’s had me investigated.’

"Is it? Have you forgotten what you did to Cecilia?" I continued to intimidate her.

Suddenly, Erin Whittaker clutched her stomach and collapsed weakly to the floor. "Julian... my stomach hurts."

I knew Erin was a skilled actress and had guessed she would clutch her stomach, because Julian always fell for it.

I looked at her with disgust. "Can’t you come up with a different act?"

Erin looked nervously at Julian Fletcher. "It really hurts this time..."

Julian seemed to be getting impatient as well. This time, he didn’t rush over to take her to the hospital like before. Instead, he said in a low voice, "This is a reunion organized by our teacher. Go rest on the side for a bit."

Apparently, Julian was no longer falling for her act.

’I was a little surprised. Was Julian getting impatient? How interesting.’

Erin’s expression became even more unsightly. She had probably wanted to flash a triumphant smile at me, but now she couldn’t even manage that.

I didn’t know what had happened between them, but ever since I died, Julian Fletcher had become increasingly difficult to read.

’Then again... Julian Fletcher was never a man to love someone for long.’

Erin looked terrible. It seemed like she wasn’t faking it this time.

"The man Silvia Lynch brought, is he really the young master of the Lancaster family? He doesn’t look like a fool in person, does he?" Someone else was curious about whether Sebastian Lancaster was a fool.

"Teacher, my husband is unwell, so we won’t be staying for dinner." I didn’t want to stay here any longer. ’This trip wasn’t a total waste. That class president, Howard Finch, is definitely suspicious. I need to leave quietly and find another day to investigate him.’

The teacher nodded. "Alright. Go home and get some rest."

I was about to leave with Sebastian Lancaster when Brian Morgan and his friends showed up.

"Well, well... even a psycho cleans up nicely, huh?" one of Brian Morgan’s friends said, deliberately trying to provoke us.

Brian Morgan had a foul mouth, and so did his friends.

These people had bullied me more than once in the past, and Julian Fletcher had always done nothing.

"What kind of reunion is this? Why are dogs allowed to attend..." I said in a low voice, gripping Sebastian Lancaster’s arm.

Sebastian’s gaze instantly sharpened. He spoke very little, but his eyes alone were enough to scare someone to death.

Sure enough, having been beaten up before, Brian Morgan knew what it felt like. He coughed and pulled back his friend who had spoken. "Alright, shut up. If you provoke a lunatic, it’s not a crime if he kills you."

The guy was so scared he swallowed hard and fell silent.

"Good dogs don’t block the path," I said, deliberately sticking my foot out and tripping Brian Morgan as he passed.

Caught off guard, Brian Morgan went sprawling and fell flat on his face.

I smiled and looked back. "Oh my, why are you giving the teacher such a grand bow?"

Brian Morgan clenched his fists in anger, gritting his teeth as he glared back at me. "You psycho bitch..."

He probably thought I was a psycho, too.

Brian Morgan glanced at the friends beside him. "I was just caught off guard before. You think we can’t take down a psycho if we all jump him? Get him!"

Seeing that Brian Morgan and his friends were about to start a fight, the teacher got scared and quickly tried to stop them. "What are you doing...?"

"Teacher, let’s go chat over there. Whatever’s going on with them, they can solve it themselves. They’re all adults; they won’t actually fight," Erin Whittaker said, enduring her pain as she and a few other students steered the teacher away. It was obvious she was deliberately letting Brian Morgan and his crew go after Asher.

Asher was alone, but they were a group.

Meanwhile, Julian Fletcher remained aloof, sitting there and looking down on the scene, saying nothing. He was condoning their actions.

I looked back at Brian Morgan. "Heh... You’re a glutton for punishment, aren’t you? Some dogs never learn. Looks like almost getting beaten to death last time wasn’t enough for you."

Brian Morgan’s cronies charged, raising a wine bottle to smash it down on Sebastian Lancaster.

I instinctively moved to protect him. He was just standing there, looking dazed...

But Sebastian suddenly pulled me into his arms, reached back, and caught the bottle. His cold eyes stared at the attacker, a crazed light dancing within them.

He snatched the bottle and smashed it directly over the man’s head.

"You started this," I said, frowning at Brian Morgan, then glancing at Sebastian. "He’s the one who told them to attack. Get him."

Brian Morgan’s legs went weak with fear. Sebastian’s aura was truly... terrifying.

"Okay." And Sebastian was so obedient; it seemed he would do whatever I said.

He let go of me, shielding me behind him, and grabbed another wine bottle, swinging it at Brian Morgan.

He shielded me very securely, probably afraid I would get hit by shards of glass.

When Sebastian fought, he was absolutely ruthless. Brian Morgan and his friends were no match for him.

Now, even I was starting to panic...

I had just been running my mouth, but Sebastian... it looked like he was serious about killing Brian Morgan.

"That’s enough!" Julian Fletcher ordered coldly, finally unable to remain silent.

Sebastian, who was holding Brian Morgan by the collar, paused his fist mid-air.

He glanced back at Julian, sneered, then turned back and sent his fist flying.

"Asher..." I rushed forward and grabbed his arm, genuinely afraid someone was going to die. "Don’t, stop hitting him."

"Stop fighting, stop fighting!" Many classmates were yelling from the sidelines, not daring to get closer. Meanwhile, Howard Finch, the one who had been organizing the reunion, was hiding behind the crowd, too scared to step forward.

Julian’s face was dark. Just as he was about to step forward, a student shouted from the side, "Fletcher, Erin fainted! There’s blood on her dress!"

"Fletcher, Erin fainted!"
