After Achieving Invincibility, I Set Out to Destroy Sects

Chapter 64: Bai Yue Starts to Fend for Herself

As the invaders came closer at an incredible pace, Jiang Yun appeared in front of the group, who had to stop as he appeared out of nowhere.

The leading man of the group, who was an Immortal King, shouted, "Who are you, and why have you gotten in our way?"

Jiang Yun replied, "Who I am isn’t important. Instead, are you here for a mother and daughter?"

The Immortal King, surprised to hear what he wanted to know, said, "So you know what we are here for. Then quickly lead the way instead of wasting our time."

Jiang Yun, confirming these people were indeed the correct targets, decided to capture them as he had just thought of a use for them.

Before the group of Immortals could react, Jiang Yun teleported all of them to the Invincible Cloud Sect.

In the next moment, the group of Immortals appeared in front of Bai Yanfei and Bai Yue as Jiang Yun had brought them there.

The two women were surprised to see these Immortals suddenly appear at the sect and wondered what was happening.

The group of Immortals, having just been moved without any resistance, instantly felt some fear as they couldn’t even tell what had just happened.

While they tried to make guesses in their minds, the group soon noticed the abundant Immortal energy in the sect.

The Immortal King, realizing this was the most abundant treasure land he had ever seen, even better than those of Immortal Emperors, instantly wanted to obtain the land.

The pure greed he felt instantly overwhelmed any fear he had before, as this territory was just far too valuable.

The Immortal King fearlessly stated, "I don’t know what you did to bring me here, but now that I have discovered this treasure land, don’t expect me to let you go. This place is now mine, and none of you can spread the news."

The Immortal King then tried to kill all the witnesses, as he wanted the Invincible Cloud Sect's territory badly.

The moment he formed a bit of energy, it dissipated, and the Immortal King instantly felt that he was stuck in place, unable to move.

The rest of the group of Immortals, wondering what made the Immortal King stop, instantly realized the danger as they could no longer move either.

Jiang Yun, now having quieted the group of Immortals down, could finally explain himself, as they had been acting too noisily.

Jiang Yun explained to Bai Yanfei, "I have brought your pursuers here for you to ask questions, as you have probably wondered about some things after all these years. Another reason is that this is your matter to settle, and I feel it is not appropriate for me to resolve everything."

Jiang Yun had seen Bai Yanfei’s gratitude before and felt that she wouldn’t accept his help directly, instead trying even harder to repay him later. Supporting her would be easier than directly resolving it for her.

Jiang Yun also had one more goal, which was to develop Bai Yue into a more mature person, as she had just been hiding in the sect this entire time because she was too weak to go out.

Now that she was an Earth Immortal, she had gained some power to defend herself. This made Jiang Yun finally willing to let Bai Yue experience life a little after all this time.

Back when they first met, Jiang Yun told Bai Yue he would teach her to defend herself, but he still hadn’t done so completely. Now that there was an opportunity, Jiang Yun wanted to teach her to resolve things herself with minimal help.

Bai Yanfei, seeing that the group had been neutralized so easily, finally felt reassured by Jiang Yun’s power.

Previously she was skeptical, but with an Immortal King being held captive, she was no longer afraid like before.

Bai Yanfei wanted to ask certain things she was curious about, so she asked, "Why are you people so persistent in trying to capture my daughter? I know our families are enemies and she has talent, but it’s not like she is the only genius in the world."

The Immortal King, who had been stuck in place by Jiang Yun, refused to answer. He knew the answer but didn’t feel like replying to someone so beneath himself.

Jiang Yun, seeing that the Immortal King was very unwilling, began to increase the pressure on the man.

In the next moment, the Immortal King instantly collapsed to the ground and began to be crushed by some force as he started bleeding from his orifices.

As the pain increased and his body was breaking apart, the Immortal King felt he couldn’t take it anymore. The previous fear that had dissipated returned, and he felt that he could actually die.

The Immortal King quickly replied, "I know the answer, so please stop. I’ll talk, so please let me go."

Jiang Yun eased the pressure, wanting to see if the man was truly sincere in answering questions.

The Immortal King replied, "Our families have been in a constant feud and are in a stalemate for as long as either of us can remember. A few years ago, when we found out about the cultivation talent of your daughter, we didn’t think too much of it, but a certain person did."

Bai Yanfei curiously inquired, "Who was this person?"

The Immortal King stated, "The man was very powerful, probably an Immortal Emperor. That man wanted your daughter’s constitution, using us as a pretext, as that person’s status was too noble to do it personally."

Bai Yanfei, still not understanding, asked, "What did they offer you to pursue her for all these years and waste so many resources just to capture one person?"

The Immortal King replied, "The strong figure gave us plenty of much-needed cultivation resources in return, as well as a promise that we could occupy your territory once everything was over."

Bai Yanfei realized that the situation was much larger than she originally realized. With the involvement of an Immortal Emperor, things were no longer simple.

The Immortal King started to beg, "I have told you everything that I know, so please let me go."

Bai Yanfei, seeing the Immortal King wanting to be forgiven after all these years of trouble, felt furious at the audacity. She soon calmed down, however, as this was still Jiang Yun’s territory and not her home.

Bai Yanfei looked at Jiang Yun and asked, "What do you want to do with them, since you were the one who captured them?"

Jiang Yun replied, "I am going to use them as sparring partners for Bai Yue."

Bai Yanfei instantly refused, stating, "My daughter is only an Earth Immortal. Do you want to send her to her death by fighting these Immortals?"

Jiang Yun replied, "You don’t need to worry. I will, of course, make it fairer, as well as watch over her to ensure her safety."

Jiang Yun snapped his fingers, and in the next moment, the group of Immortals felt that their realms were dropping. Once it stopped, they found that they had been reduced to being Earth Immortals.

Jiang Yun turned to Bai Yue and asked, "So, what do you think? Want to give it a try against these people?"

Bai Yue nodded, as she wanted to contribute too, having always felt too weak to help in any way. Now that Jiang Yun gave her an opportunity, she wanted to be of use.

Jiang Yun released the captured Immortal who had the lowest cultivation level before being weakened. This was to be Bai Yue’s first opponent.

The Immortal, having just been freed, tried to run away immediately, but felt the force that had stopped him before appear again.

Jiang Yun stated, "You may not leave until you spar with the woman in front of you. If you choose to leave again, I will kill you directly."

The Immortal knew he couldn’t escape like this and prepared to fight Bai Yue. The first thing he did was try to pull out a weapon treasure, but it was taken by Jiang Yun the moment he drew it.

Jiang Yun noted, "Bai Yue doesn’t have any weapons, so you aren’t allowed to use any either."

The Immortal complied, as he had no other choice. He then went to engage Bai Yue in a fight as if his life depended on it.

As the two were both Earth Immortals, the gap wasn’t large, and Bai Yue managed to hold her own initially. Soon after, though, Bai Yue started to lose, as she had no experience in fighting prior to this.

Due to this fight, however, she slowly started to learn from her enemy’s movements and became better. The learning process was far too slow, though, as Bai Yue became overwhelmed not long after.

Jiang Yun, seeing this, stopped the fight between the two and gave Bai Yue a pill to recover her energy. This fight was still too much for her, as she had never fought before.

The Immortal who was fighting Bai Yue wanted to complain about this being unfair, but decided not to, as his life was in their hands now.

After Bai Yue recovered, she started the fight again, as she was now back at full energy.

The Immortal, though, didn’t have this luxury and started to feel the burden of the fight as his energy ran dry.

As the fight continued, Bai Yue learned many things as she gained experience, and she finally killed for the first time in her life.

Though the feeling wasn’t appealing to her, it was the first accomplishment she had ever worked hard for in her life.

Seeing that Bai Yue was finished, Jiang Yun gave her time to rest while he looked for the next opponent.

Jiang Yun then turned his attention to the group of Immortals and thought to himself, Now, who will be next?
