After a Flash Marriage With a Billionaire, My Brothers Are Begging for My Forgiveness!
Chapter 226: Sienna Everett Is My Wife
Chapter 226: Chapter 226: Sienna Everett Is My Wife
When he saw who it was, Wyatt Everett’s initial surprise gave way to a surge of anger.
It was Miles Everett and Ophelia Warren!
On the variety show today, his second brother didn’t side with Sienna at all!
Instead, he just kept praising Ophelia Warren!
Burning with rage, Wyatt Everett abruptly let go of Lucas Everett, whom he was supporting, intending to confront Miles Everett and demand an explanation.
Lucas Everett had already cracked open the back of his head. His mind was buzzing and foggy, as if his skull had been split open like a watermelon. He was completely dizzy and disoriented. When Wyatt let go, Lucas lost his support. His feet gave way, and he fell to the ground with a loud THUD.
And as luck would have it, he hit the back of his head again with another THUD. The bleeding instantly got worse.
"Lucas!"
Dustin Everett stared at his unlucky brother, so stunned he just froze for a moment before remembering to reach out and help him up.
’Oh, crap! He didn’t get a concussion, did he?’
Wyatt Everett stared at Lucas on the ground, who looked like his brains were about to be scrambled. He snapped out of his daze and hurried back to help the poor guy up. "My bad, my bad! I shouldn’t have let go! You can’t die on me here!"
Upon hearing this, Lucas Everett wanted to curse him out, but he was seeing stars from the fall and was too dizzy to even stand. ’A reasonable suspicion formed in my mind: my third brother is trying to kill me to monopolize Sienna’s affection all for himself!’
’That devious son of a bitch!’
Miles Everett frowned at the gory scene. "What happened?"
"You have the nerve to ask us?" Supporting Lucas, Wyatt shot back irritably. "On the variety show today, how could you treat Sienna like that? Huh?"
"I wasn’t intentionally targeting her," Miles Everett replied, his voice calm and even.
"Right. You just spent the whole show fawning over Ophelia Warren, so busy you had no time for your own sister, is that it?" Wyatt retorted sarcastically. He punctuated his words with a hostile glare at Ophelia.
Ophelia Warren stepped forward. The wind rustled the hem of her dress, accentuating her slender figure. A gentle, kind smile graced her lips.
"You’ve misunderstood. Mr. Everett and I are good friends, which is why he looks out for me. As for Sienna, I like her a great deal and would love to be friends with her."
Dustin Everett glanced at Ophelia Warren. ’That gentle smile of hers always seems like a mask,’ he thought. ’It’s not genuine at all.’
He turned to Wyatt and said, "Wyatt, don’t waste your breath on them. Let’s get Lucas to the hospital to get bandaged up first! He’s about to bleed dry!"
From the blood loss, Lucas Everett’s face was now pale, and his hands and feet were cold.
Before he left, Wyatt shot Miles a warning glance. "Back at the Everett Family home, we were all heartless bastards who bullied and abused Sienna. And even though you never laid a hand on her, you never once tried to stop it, either! You just stood on the sidelines, watching and letting it happen like it was none of your business... I hope that from now on, you won’t do anything to hurt Sienna either!"
With that, Wyatt and Dustin helped Lucas into the car and sped off to the hospital.
Ophelia Warren looked at Miles, who was staring blankly into the distance beside her. "Mr. Everett?" she called out.
Miles snapped out of it and shook his head. "It’s nothing."
Ophelia, seemingly very thoughtful, didn’t press further. She simply smiled and said, "I really do want to get to know Sienna better..."
...
Sienna Everett arrived at the old family manor with Julian Forrester and Keith Sterling.
"Grandpa, we’re home!" Even before he stepped into the living room, Keith Sterling was already calling out in a honeyed voice.
"Come in, come in!" The old man, seated on the living room sofa, saw their silhouettes outside and quickly waved them in.
Sienna followed Julian inside and saw that, besides his grandfather, there was another elderly gentleman in the living room, accompanied by his granddaughter—a lovely, elegant-looking girl.
When the girl saw Julian enter, she quickly stood up and went to greet him. Her cheeks were faintly flushed as she said shyly, "Julian, it’s been a while!"
After her shy greeting, the girl looked over at Keith Sterling, her demeanor much more casual. "Hello, Keith."
Julian simply gave a polite nod, then turned to Sienna and introduced in a low voice, "That’s my grandfather’s friend, Mr. Quinn, on the sofa. And this is his granddaughter, Aveline Quinn."
Upon hearing this, Sienna glanced at Aveline, then gave Julian a meaningful look.
Julian raised an eyebrow inquisitively.
Sienna said nothing.
’This girl, Aveline Quinn, clearly has a huge crush on Julian. It’s so obvious.’
Keith, ever the quick thinker, smoothly broke the silence. "Aveline," he said familiarly, "what brings you and Mr. Quinn over today?"
"My grandfather had some business with Mr. Forrester, so we dropped by," Aveline explained. Her personality was quiet and unassuming, and she spoke in a soft, gentle voice.
However, while she seemed to be answering Keith, her eyes kept darting curiously toward Julian and Sienna.
Of course Aveline recognized Sienna Everett. After all, Sienna was breathtakingly beautiful and quite famous; stories about her various exploits circulated all over the internet.
’But,’ Aveline couldn’t help but wonder, ’why would Sienna Everett come to the manor with Julian?’
’Are they that close?’
Julian, naturally, noticed Aveline’s scrutinizing gaze. He calmly took Sienna’s hand and made a formal introduction. "This is Sienna Everett. She’s also my wife."
The statement was completely unexpected.
Aveline’s eyes shot wide open.
’W-Wife?!!’
Aveline was so shocked she could barely form a sentence. "You... you and Sienna Everett... you’re married?!"
’When did that happen? I never heard a thing about it!’
Sienna was surprised, too. She hadn’t expected Julian to say that so suddenly.
Julian kept hold of her hand, not letting go. His deep, mellow voice was calm and measured. "For personal reasons, our marriage hasn’t been publicly announced."
Aveline nodded numbly.
She was struggling to process such shocking news.
No matter how you looked at it, Julian Forrester, the CEO of the Forrester Group, and Sienna Everett, who had cut all ties with the Everett Family, seemed to be from two completely different worlds.
But it was clear that Julian was deeply respectful and protective of Sienna, unwilling to let her suffer the slightest injustice. He had introduced her with such gravity and sincerity.
That was clearly how a man in love looked—someone who wanted to give her the very best of everything.
Aveline had always wondered what a man like Julian Forrester—a man as remote and unattainable as the moon—would be like when he fell in love.
Today, she was lucky enough to get a glimpse.
And there was no denying they were a stunningly well-matched couple.
"I’m sorry, I had no idea you two were married. Since I’m just finding out today... let me offer my belated congratulations. I wish you both a happy marriage." Aveline felt the sting of a failed crush, but also an inexplicable sense of relief.
"Thank you," Julian replied, his tone polite but distant.
Sienna glanced at Julian, then echoed his thanks to Aveline.
Keith chimed in with a wide grin. "Hehe, of course it’s a happy marriage! Happy marriage, happy marriage!"
