Chapter 1166: Guidance.

Yang Shen sighed and looked at Hao Mei for a moment before he turned to look at Shi Lang and said, “Senior, I only wish to restore my pride. That is all.”

Shi Lang nodded and said, “Good.”

Then he paused and asked, “What pill do you want to refine.”

Yang Shen was shocked and then he said, “Nine Body Refining Pill.”

Shi Lang sighed and replied, “Excellent, the concept of refining nine pills in a cauldron with all having different effectiveness, genius if you ask me. Good, what would you like to compare? Timing of refining? Quality or technique?”

Yang Shen took a deep breath, Shi Lang was handing him all the control and this was not looking good, but he was the junior so giving him the priority was an appropriate attitude from a senior. Yang Shen knew that Shi Lang was a monster, he was the peak that most of the people wanted to climb or just see, but here he was, a young man carving the path of his own. Although his goal had changed from finding the love of his life to stand back again and face the world with a clear heart.

The young man took a deep breath and replied, “We can compete in terms of all the categories.”

Shi Lang thought for a moment and said, “Fine, I will not hold back though.”

Yang Shen nodded and bowed slightly, a silent gesture of thanks. Then the competition began. Hao Mei was standing beside Tong Bai who had placed her hand around her shoulder. The young lady had not even lifted her gaze from the floor ever since she has apologized. Although Tong Bai was not going to console her, but she was not going to leave her alone. Amelia and the rest also came over, and Tong Bai told her about the situation.

The people feel silent and then they cheered. Yang Shen sighed, he knew that he could not win, to reach the level of three lightning marks in one pill was equivalent of burning ten years in constant practice, and that meant he would need forty years to catch up to Shi Lang, and that was only for this particular pill recipe.

Every pill have a different formula and different way of refining. He turned to look at Shi Lang and bowed his head and said, “Thank you for your instruction, Senior.”

Shi Lang shook his head as he replied, “Don’t worry, it was good that you came around, I could work up some skills after all these years. Thank you.”
