Chapter 1161: Reunion 2

Shi Lang led Shi Ting inside the Asura Hall, and the people were shocked, they didn’t expect a person from the Family of the Hall master to ascend and these people all could tell from Shi Ting’s bone age that she was younger that Shi Lang considerably. They didn’t know what to say but they felt that the constant tension in the air has eased up.

The family gathered in the Pavilion outside Shi Lang’s house, and the young man smiled at Shi Ting who sat across him, the rest of the people had left to arrange for a banquet because it was a joyous event, although they were not holding a big event just within the Asura Hall would also take a state level preparation.

Shi Lang poured some medicinal tea and gave it to Shi Ting as he said, “This will help you cleanse the impurities from the lower realm and increase the talent of your body by a little.”

Shi Ting thanked him and gulped the tea, and instantly she sensed her body warm up and the pores began to squeeze out all the dirt that they could. Shi Lang waved his hand and all the dirt on her body vanished in the air. Shi Ting sighed and said, “Big Brother you have gotten so strong.”

Shi Lang smiled as he poured her another cup of tea and said, “You would be stronger too, don’t worry.”

Shi Ting nodded forcefully, and replied, “You will have to guide me.”

Shi Lang just smiled dotingly and said nothing. He asked, “How were things down there?”

Shi Ting turned serious and said, “The Federation is thriving and the people from the Ace Squad had to commit cleansing acts twice. One of them was killed due to conspiracy but those kids, I swear they don’t back down. They unended the entire General Council about two decades later, the new blood in the Military is fearsome. They take challenges head on and now, the federation ranks among the top five in the Galactic Council. None can defeat us in Mech Warfare, Command and also information. The only thing that we lack is trade, however, that is not too big of a deal in the world where power means everything.”

Shi Lang nodded and asked the second question, “How about the family?”

Shi Ting smiled and replied, “They have learned to not hold back, although the chances of getting through the tribulation is minimal, they have been doing their best and rising steadily. Shi Lee, from the lineage of big sister has taken the reins, he is the strongest among the younger generation and that is not just a boast, he has earned himself great deal of fame and glory in the galactic arenas. He is now a Brigadier in the Federal Military, started as the special division, joined the Ace Squad and then transitioned into the Military main forces, even the Generals fear him to some extent but he has never broken the protocol unless on field recklessness counts.”

Shi Lang smiled and replied, “Seems like you like him a great deal.”

Shi Ting nodded and said, “He is very close to appearance of Baba, so I find him likeable, plus he reminded me of you, always reliable.”

Shi Lang smiled but that was it, he didn’t like to praise people he didn’t know. However, he did remark, “I guess with the younger generation thriving, those two would be happy.”

Shi Ting nodded and then said, “Umm, can we place Ma and Baba in the Asura Hall? I have brought them along.”

Shi Lang nodded in agreement, last time he didn’t bring in the busts of his parents the last time because Shi Ting was still there. Now that he has the chance to make a shrine for them here, he would do that, and at the same time he was thinking of making an ancestral hall for the younger generation of the Shi Family that would come over in the future, but it would still take them too much time because they were involved in the secular matters of the world it hindered their cultivation and also they had to be very careful when approaching breakthroughs because tribulations for ascending the heavens were not easy to pass.

The two siblings sat in the pavilion and began to talk about the matters of family and Shi Lang mostly listened and sometimes he reprimanded the people who made foolish decisions, and thankfully Shi Ting had managed to guide the family to preserve till now. After a couple of hours, Hao Mei appeared outside the pavilion and she looked at Shi Lang, the Terran sighed and looked at her before he said, “Do they really have to act so desperate, can a man not even greet his sister peacefully? Fucking assholes.”

He didn’t hide the rage in his heart, but he still kept things in check. Shi Ting was surprised and Shi Lang said, “Tingting, you stay here, I will be back in a few days, and Mei, call Amy, have her show Ting around and guide her for cultivation matters. This pathetic trial arc is pissing me off.”

That said, he stood up, patted Shi Ting’s head and then left the pavilion with a thudding step. Hao Ren sighed and shook her head, as she sat down beside Shi Tiang with a smile on her face. Shi Ting also smiled at her, and pinched her chin gently as she said, “Our Mei is still the fairy she was back then.”

Hao Mei giggled and said, “Aunt, you are also a fairy.”

Shi Ting chuckled and then leaned over to ask, “So, do we have someone to get you hitched with or not?”

Hao Mei shook her head and replied, “Na, I don’t have the time or heart for those people. I am happy while chasing the path of Dao in my life.”

Shi Ting shook her head and said, “You all, you kids are too naive.”

Hao Mei knew Shi Ting was just teasing her, and after a few minutes of bickering Ting asked, “Where did Big Brother go?”

Hao Mei shook here head and replied, “Where else, someone from another place came to seek advise and consultation on artifact refining.”

Hao Mei was about to say some more when she stopped and turned around to see Feng Yun walking over. She stood up and bowed to her, and said, “Greetings, Your Holiness.”

Shi Ting seemed to be frozen on the other hand because Feng Yun was gazing directly at her. The lady then reached out and pinched her two fingers together. The next moment a white wisp of thread emerged from Shi Ting’s brow and Hao Mei was shocked. She said, “Did you think it would be that easy to manipulate him like this, useless thing.”

Hao Mei watched the whole thing and she was shocked, she asked, “Your Holiness, what is this?”

Feng Yun replied, “What else, this is a wisp of world consciousness.”

Hao Mei was shocked, and asked, “But, how? Didn’t you tell Baba that you cannot extract it so easily?”

Feng Yun shook her head and replied, “Love, it is not me who cannot remove it, it is your father. I who follows the will of the great dao only, am superior to this infant of the world consciousness. Shi Ting was infected when she ascended and Lang almost fell for the trick.”

Hao Mei was shocked, and then she turned to look at Shi Ting, who was sitting in a daze. Feng Yun said, “Don’t worry, she is fine now. It will not be a problem anymore.”

The young lady let out a sigh and Feng Yun said, “Yes, I know, had something happened to Shi Ting in this situation, Lang would have roasted me for his lunch.”

Hao Mei smiled and said, “Shall I wake her up?”

Feng Yun nodded and said, “Yes, I want to talk to her about somethings. I am curious about the food in the lower realm.”

On the other side, Shi Lang was completely unaware of this incident. Because he was lost in the joy of his sister’s arrival, and so couldn’t detect Shi Ting, the fact that the lady was still unfamiliar with him when they first met, it was not easy to notice the strange things in her behaviour.

He came to the gathering hall, with his face brimming with rage. As soon as he came in he spotted Naomi sitting with a few elders. The latter saw Shi Lang and she hiccuped, because the fluctuations from Shi Lang were anything but friendly. The Terran walked over and said, “I told you, that I would come after a week. Did you think that I was delaying you on purpose? Princess Naomi?”

The lady was stunned and so were the elders they didn’t expect him to come out with such aggression, and Naomi said, “Daoist Shi, it is not that we don’t understand but the time…”

Shi Lang said, “Do you know how much effort it takes to refine that vessel? I have just come back from refining something for the Sun Archers, my soul is over taxed, and here you are, telling me that time is running out? Is this right?”
