During this past month, Vaelor had entered the World of the Veil roughly twelve times, and the amount of enlightenment, knowledge, and things he’d gained during these times was immense... especially three arrays Vaelor was able to derive from his understanding of all those laws.

Meanwhile, Vaelor stood breathing in the fresh air calmly in the royal garden, having just emerged from the World of the Veil a little while ago, and there was a lot of things he needed to write down and study.

And so Vaelor waved his hand, and both the ground and the grass moved, forming a suitable table and seat.

Vaelor sat on the seat and took out from his storage space a stack of papers along with an ink pen... and using his spiritual power, Vaelor controlled the pen and papers and began writing at a speed no human had ever witnessed before.

Within moments a page would be finished, and he’d move on to write on the next one, as though he were a printing machine.

And after several hours of writing, Vaelor finally set down his pen, and before him lay thousands of pages filled with enormous amounts of information.

Vaelor took out a small metal disk, placed it on the table, and pressed it, and after a single second that disk began devouring all those papers.

And after the disk finished absorbing all those papers until not a single page remained on the table, it lit up in a green color, and a white holographic screen appeared above it, displaying numerous strange golden symbols.

"Mmm, this is good, it’ll do the job"

After Vaelor confirmed that the information the disk had absorbed and was currently displaying was correct, he closed it with a smile on his face and returned the disk to his storage space once more, then rose from his spot and began walking toward the administrative office located in the High Administrative Council.

As he walked through the streets, and glancing up at the sky, Vaelor noticed that the time had passed noon by several hours, but he didn’t trouble his mind with this and soon arrived at a gigantic, majestic palace, its walls made of pristine white marble, its columns rising everywhere, and dozens of people entering and exiting it every minute, and at the front of this palace there was a raised emblem of three gears of different sizes wrapping around a larger gear in the middle... this was the High Administrative Council.

Vaelor advanced calmly through the corridors of the High Administrative Council, amid the crowds of elves, but the strange thing was that no one noticed Vaelor passing by... or more precisely, no one noticed that he was King Vaelor.

"Using this charm will save me a lot of trouble in the future!"

Vaelor advanced, the smile never leaving his face. At this moment he was using the Law of Emotion, and if anyone heard this, they’d be confused at first glance.

And that’s because after reaching the Fourth Level and choosing one law as your foundational law, one cannot use any other law besides it... and it’s well known that Vaelor’s foundational law is the Law of Genesis, so how could he use the Cosmic Law of Emotion?

And here we come to one of the best features of the Path of the Soul.

For unlike the Path of Energy, which restricts you to a single law you follow, or a very limited number of laws for higher levels, the Path of the Soul has no laws of its own, but aside from the strength of the soul itself, this path is generally divided into two categories... either charms or curses.

Charms are what Vaelor was using now, for by comprehending a certain law, instead of setting it as a foundation and being bound by it, you instead craft a skill from that law, but its use isn’t through ordinary energy, but rather that skill is used through soul energy instead... or what is then known as a charm.

Of course, there are many different forms of charms, and their quality and power vary in degree, such as support charms, healing charms, attack charms, defense charms, and many other types of charms.

As for curses, they’re the other form of charms. Or more precisely, they’re the negative and persistent form of using soul power.

For instance, Vaelor just now used a charm of indifference so people wouldn’t pay attention to him as he walked. This charm has no negative effect within it and also doesn’t last for a long time, but if he used soul power to make them forget him entirely or feel indifferent toward everything, that would then be a curse, because it would cause a negative effect, or it might last for a long time.

There are also several other ways of using the Path of the Soul, such as using pure soul energy directly in combat by enhancing the body or thinking, or other such things, but this was the most primitive form.

Then we come to the next form, which is filling soul vessels with soul energy so they fight on their master’s behalf, and this was the most famous form, and one of the strongest methods of combat.

But there are more advanced methods, which is converting soul energy into mutated energy... and Vaelor also possessed this mutated energy... namely, Abyss energy!

It had originally been soul energy, but it had mutated due to his lineage, and that’s all he knew about it so far!

...

Vaelor stood before the main office, and on either side of the door stood two elven guards, but at this moment they stood as though no one at all was beside them!

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Vaelor knocked on the door three times, and the guards showed no reaction whatsoever even now, but from inside the office, the knocking on the door was heard.

"Who’s knocking on the door now?"

Olivia raised her head and looked at the door in surprise, then looked at Ayat and the rest of the people in the office in confusion.

"I don’t know, but I remember I told the guards I wouldn’t be meeting anyone, and warned them that the office is extremely busy today"

Ayat frowned as she looked at the door, thinking about who it could be, then looked at Olivia "why don’t you go check who’s knocking on the door"

Mm!

Olivia nodded and rose from her seat, heading toward the door... but the moment she opened it, her eyes widened, and she looked at the one knocking in astonishment, freezing in place, stammering in her speech.

"M... my liege!"
