Chapter 351: Chapter 351: An Old Bull Eats Tender Grass (7)
Terrence Grant: ...
"The person who spent sixty million on that set of jade jewelry... was you?"
Terrence Grant: ...
"Are you out of your mind, or do you just have more money than sense?! That jewelry set isn’t worth nearly that much! Sixty million might have been a fair price before the massive counterfeiting scandal rocked the jade market, and you could have expected its value to appreciate. But now? It’s a guaranteed loss! Aren’t you supposed to be some kind of genius? Why would you do something so stupid?"
Seraphina Sterling was completely baffled. The jade set was rare, yes, but from both a collection and investment standpoint, it was a terrible deal! She truly couldn’t understand why Terrence Grant would do such a thing!
’Stupid?’ Terrence Grant’s face darkened when he heard her assessment. Seeing the astonishment in her eyes, he finally managed to force out two words, "Graduation gift!"
Seraphina Sterling: ’Huh—a graduation gift? What’s going on? When did Terrence Grant get a clue? He actually knows how to give gifts now?’
"What are you looking at? I was your teacher, after all. Think of it as a reward! Just take it!" Terrence Grant’s expression was unnatural; this was the first time he’d ever had to rack his brain for an excuse to give a gift. It was unbelievable that he, the great Terrence Grant, had been reduced to this!
After the initial shock, Seraphina Sterling swiftly closed the lid. "Even the gifts my grandfather gives me aren’t this expensive! I have no reason to accept this. You should lock it up in a safe."
Terrence Grant’s face grew even darker. "If I recall correctly, Zion Hale also bought you that priceless Jade Bracelet at an auction, and you accepted it without a moment’s hesitation! Yet you refuse my gift! Such different treatment... isn’t that a bit unfair to me?"
Zion Hale? At the mention of his name, a clear flicker of tenderness crossed Seraphina’s eyes. Terrence Grant, who had always been observant, flew into an immediate rage at the sight. Ignoring the fact that he was driving, he abruptly pulled Seraphina toward him and crushed his lips against hers!
"Terrence Grant! Are you crazy... Mmph!" After the initial shock, Seraphina Sterling began to struggle. They were on the road! One wrong move and they could end up in a fatal crash!
The truth was, Seraphina Sterling was driving Terrence Grant insane. He had never pursued a woman before. For the past few days, he’d been agonizing over the fastest way to win her over, even creating a "conquest strategy." Step one: give a gift! But he never imagined it would be off to such a bad start. Not only that, but it had also revealed a major threat to his plans!
Seraphina Sterling bit down, hard. Only when he tasted blood in his mouth did Terrence Grant release her. He looked at her cherry-red lips, now stained with blood, which only made them more alluring. The jealousy in his heart subsided slightly. "So, my dear Seraphina is part dog!"
"If I’m part dog, then you must be part lunatic!" Seraphina Sterling wiped her lips with the back of her hand. "We’re on the road, and you’re the driver! If you have a death wish, go right ahead, but I’m not ready to die, so don’t drag me down with you!"
Terrence Grant resumed driving, a smile returning to his face because of the kiss. "So what you’re saying is, as long as we’re not on the road, it’s okay?"
"It’s not okay anywhere! Terrence Grant, there’s nothing between us, so why do you keep kissing me?!" Seraphina Sterling was about to explode with rage. ’How can someone like him even exist?!’
"Then who is allowed to? Wyatt Gallagher? Or Zion Hale?" Terrence Grant’s deep-set eyes shifted, growing darker as an unspoken danger slowly filled the car. "What do you like about Zion Hale? That he’s young?" The mere mention of age made Terrence Grant’s heart ache. He really hated the expression "robbing the cradle."
