"What does it have to do with them?" Seraphina Sterling’s brow furrowed even tighter. She realized that she and Terrence Grant were completely incapable of communicating. "Who can kiss me and who can’t is my business. It has nothing to do with you! Don’t trouble yourself with such a trivial matter!"

"No one can kiss you but me!" Terrence Grant declared, staking his claim as if swearing an oath.

Seraphina felt that she and Terrence Grant were from two different worlds, utterly incapable of communicating!

While she was lost in thought, Terrence Grant decisively flipped open the lid and masterfully slipped the Jade Bracelet onto her slender wrist. It was cool and soothing to the touch. Wearing a Jade Bracelet in the summer heat was indeed incredibly comfortable.

"They say jade nurtures the wearer. I hope it helps you put on some weight! You’re too skinny right now, like you’re malnourished! It’s like hugging a bag of bones!" Having completed his mission, Terrence Grant started driving again.

Gazing into those eyes, so full of deep affection, Seraphina’s heart fluttered for a moment, and she found she couldn’t utter a single word of refusal.

Terrence Grant was immensely satisfied by her stunned expression. He leaned in and kissed her eyelids. This time, the touch was as light as a dragonfly skimming the water, there and gone in an instant. "Be good. Get out and go register. I’ll come pick you up when your military training is over."

Seraphina stumbled out of the car in a daze. That single word, "good," had left her reeling. ’I’m not a kid, so why is he telling me to "be good"? Good my ass! Dragging her suitcase, Seraphina Sterling finally arrived at the registration area.
