Chapter 633: Chapter 630: Might as Well Tell You Everything

Sandra looked away. "At a time like this, shouldn’t you be wishing I were dead? Why would you still remember about giving me a role?"

"When I found out you were the one who almost killed Seth Quinn, I did wish you were dead! And I still haven’t forgiven you. But... I don’t know why.

I guess I just feel like it’s a shame, a pity. You didn’t have to end up in this situation. You could have had a better career, a better life, but..."

Clara Grant spread her hands helplessly.

Sandra didn’t speak, nor did she look at her.

After a moment, Clara Grant stood up. She glanced one last time at Sandra, who still refused to look at her, and said nothing more before turning to leave.

She had only taken two steps when Sandra suddenly stood up and called out to her back, "Actually, I didn’t want to kill you..."

Clara Grant’s steps faltered, but she didn’t turn around.

Sandra bit her lip and continued, "I... I didn’t want to kill you. I just wanted to scare you, to make you look like a fool in public. I just wanted to vent my resentment. I never wanted to kill you! But..."

Clara Grant turned around, staring at her intently. "But what?"

"But... but I don’t know why! What I swapped in were supposed to be harmless prop bullets, but somehow they turned into real ones."

Whether from fear or regret, Sandra’s tears began to stream down her face as she spoke.

"When I bought them, the seller clearly said they were completely harmless. I... I really didn’t think it would turn out like that.

I hate you, I really do. I hate you for stealing my role, I hate you for making it so I couldn’t hold my head up on set or at the company. But how could I possibly have the guts to do something that would kill someone?"

Clara Grant frowned. "Where did you buy them?"

"I... I found them online... I know that buying and selling real bullets is illegal, and the price would definitely be very high. So when I heard how cheap they were, I really believed what they said—that they were just gag prop bullets.

If it were you, you wouldn’t have suspected anything either, right? How could you buy real bullets for such a low price? But... but later, Faye told me I’d been tricked. The seller was just desperate to get rid of them, so selling them cheap was better than being stuck with them.

So, I really didn’t mean to harm you and President Quinn. I was tricked, too."

With that, she wiped away her tears, sniffled, and said as if she had made up her mind, "I can give you the seller’s information. You can have the police investigate. I’ve already told you this much, so this last bit of information doesn’t matter. I might as well tell you everything! If the police find out the truth, maybe my name can be cleared."

Clara Grant voiced the question on her mind. "If you’ve thought this through so clearly, then why wouldn’t you reveal a single thing about the seller after being interrogated by the police for so long?"

Sandra hesitated for a long time before finally looking up at her. "It was Faye. She told me not to say anything. She said that as long as I didn’t reveal the seller’s information, the police wouldn’t find any evidence, and I’d be fine."

Clara Grant was stunned. "Faye Jennings?"

"Yeah, she... That day, when the police were taking me away, she came over and told me."

Clara Grant remembered that day. Faye Jennings had asked to have a word with Sandra. But...

"How could she have said something like that to you right in front of the police?"
