Clara Grant looked skeptical. "Since when did you become so capricious? You’re shelving someone just because they upset you? You were never this impulsive."

"I’ve always been this capricious." Seth Quinn raised an eyebrow and smiled, changing the subject. "Weren’t you supposed to go home after your classes today? What brings you here?"

Clara was immediately drawn in by his question. She looked at him, a bit embarrassed, and said, "Actually, I didn’t go to my classes today. I... went to see Sandra."

She had gone behind his back, afraid Seth Quinn wouldn’t have let her see Sandra.

"You went to see her? What for? Besides, it’s too dangerous for you to go alone." Seth Quinn immediately lost his composure. This was the woman who had once wanted to kill her.
