Sister A didn’t believe it was her cousin’s place, because he was too young, so she guessed it might belong to his father.

Maimai just kept chuckling and dodging, refusing to give a straight answer.

Then she ran back to her room, closed the door, and called Sheng Sheng.

Hugging her pillow with a playful grin, she sat on the bed and waited quietly for the call to connect. But after dialing several times, no one picked up. She had no idea what this man was secretly busy with behind her back—totally killing her vibe. Just as the beeps rang for the fifth time and finally connected, a girl’s voice came through instead.

Maimai’s excited expression instantly flipped. "Who are you? Why do you have Turtle Egg’s phone?"

"And who are you?" The woman on the other end sounded extremely provocative.

Maimai nearly exploded. "You shameless little bitch, hurry up and give the phone back to its rightful owner. Who I am is way above your pay grade. Let me tell you, the man you’re trying to throw yourself at is already taken. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll back off immediately, or don’t blame me when I go on a killing spree!"

This was actually the first time she’d ever called Sheng Sheng and had another woman pick up.
