Evelyn was rendered completely speechless. Just to rush back and see Young Master Vance, she’s forcing us to cram three full days of high-level diplomatic business into two?! Is something wrong with her head?!

Noticeably sensing her assistant’s internal collapse, Victoria added casually, "All overtime pay during this sprint will be calculated at eight times the standard daily rate."

Secretary Evelyn’s eyes instantly lit up like blinding spotlights!

Eight times the standard overtime rate?!

"Understood, President Sterling! I will inform the entire team immediately!" Evelyn responded with a massive, unstoppable grin spreading across her face.

Earning eight full days’ worth of executive salary in a single day—Young Master Vance wasn’t just a spoiled young master, he was the absolute divine angel and lucky charm of the entire Sterling Group staff!

Back in Capital City, inside Rose Manor.

Julian was sitting on his bed, his clothes completely soaked through with cold sweat. He raised his arm and wiped his dripping forehead in sheer exhaustion.

When Victoria was physically present at Rose Manor, she would lure him into bed every single day. Now, she was away on an international business trip, separated by thousands of miles and a digital screen, and she still managed to push him to the absolute brink!

Julian genuinely felt that if this kept up, his physical health and kidneys would be completely ruined by Victoria sooner or later.

For some frustrating reason, his mind kept echoing with those alluring, scandalous words that had flowed from Victoria’s moist red lips during the call. His ears burned bright red just thinking about it.

That was way too explicit! If anyone else had overheard that call, they would have assumed I was watching an hardcore adult film!

He decided he desperately needed to get a long, uninterrupted night of sleep while Victoria was out of the country. Otherwise, he might not survive her return.

Julian closed his eyes, pulled the soft duvet over his shoulders, and quickly drifted off into a deep slumber.

On Sunday morning, Julian woke up early and climbed out of bed.

"Time to go out and make some real money," Julian muttered to himself as he washed up.

He felt an urgent need to build up his own massive independent fortune.

In the original novel’s plot, Ethan Mercer was the destined male lead who possessed an absurd protagonist halo. What if Ethan somehow managed to bump into Victoria one day, and Victoria fell in love with him at first sight just like in the original story?

If that nightmare scenario happened, Julian would instantly lose his status as her favorite pet and get kicked out of Rose Manor without a penny to his name!

Therefore, he needed to make as much money as possible right now. That way, even if he were eventually discarded by Victoria, he could rely on his accumulated wealth to continue living a luxurious, carefree lifestyle as a wealthy bachelor.

As the saying goes: It is easy to go from frugality to extravagance, but nearly impossible to return from extravagance to frugality.

Having experienced the pinnacle of luxury with servants feeding him peeled fruit hand-and-foot, if he were forced to return to his previous real-world life—working himself to the bone for a meager monthly salary of 100 doller—he would rather die!

Julian walked down to the subterranean garage, picked out his sleek, multi-million-dollar Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, 🏎️and drove out of the Rose Manor gates.

While he was navigating through city traffic, his phone rang over the Bluetooth hands-free system. It was his college friend, Sean.

"Jules!" Sean asked with intense curiosity the moment Julian picked up. "Which specific stocks have you bought recently? Come on, spill the beans and give your bro some tips!"

Previously, Sean had invested a total of two million doller of his own savings into the stock market, rapidly losing over seven hundred thousand doller in bad trades.

Fortunately, he had followed Julian’s divine stock tips! That remaining investment had not only recovered its losses but had exploded into a staggering five million doller in liquid profit!

In Sean’s eyes, Julian Vance wasn’t just a friend anymore—he was a living God of Wealth!

Julian replied smoothly into his phone, "I don’t plan on buying any stocks anytime soon."

"Oh? Then what are you investing in?" Sean asked curiously.

"I plan to buy properties in the New york Residential Community," Julian answered.

"Got it," Sean agreed without a moment’s hesitation. "Have you left yet? I want to come along and buy some units too."

Julian raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "Aren’t you afraid of losing money if you blindly buy whatever I buy?"

"Not at all!" Sean shook his head vigorously on his end. "I trust you completely, Julian. Besides, so what if I lose some money on this? I followed your advice in the stock market and multiplied my capital several times over. Even if a property investment dips a bit, there’s no way I can lose all the profits I’ve already made!"

"Fair enough." Julian nodded in approval. "I’m heading out right now. Want to go together?"

"Awesome!" Sean’s face lit up with excitement.

"Where are you right now? I’ll swing by and pick you up," Julian said.

Sean replied, "I’m sitting at the flower Milk Tea Shop."

Julian quickly searched for the location of the flower Milk Tea Shop and nodded. "Yeah, that’s right on my way. Hold tight, wait for me."

Julian drove his custom Lamborghini Veneno Roadster down to the milk tea shop.

"Holy crap!" one of the teenage boys standing nearby whistled loudly. "That’s so cool!"

Julian opened the door, stepped out of the car, and waited for Sean.

When the group of boys caught sight of Julian’s striking face: "..."

God is seriously unfair! they complained internally. They gave him a wealthy, powerful family background, and on top of that, they gifted him with such a ridiculously handsome appearance! Damn it!

Jealousy was distorting their minds right on the spot. They were insanely jealous right now.

Sean slid into the passenger seat of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster.

"That was awesome!" Sean exclaimed in awe. "The feeling of riding in a luxury hypercar like this is just completely different from an ordinary car!"

He swore to himself that he must cling to his godfather’s coattails firmly from now on!

Julian drove the car to the New york Residential Area.

"Sir, please come this way," a sales representative greeted them attentively and led them over to a property development model.

"This is our brand-new housing development. High-rise units start at 40,000 dollars per square meter," the sales representative introduced smoothly. "This new building complex features a beautiful environment, and parking is extremely convenient..."

Sean quickly did the mental math in his head. With my three million dollars, I can only buy a maximum of two houses here.

"Hmm, not bad, not bad" Julian nodded in agreement.

-----------------

"Dad, Mom," Leo Vance, Arthur Vance, and Eleanor walked into the sales office together.

"Are you really going to buy me a house today?" Leo Vance asked in a tone of cautious excitement.

"Of course, sweetheart," Eleanor smiled tenderly. "I’ve already brought you here to see the apartments—how could it possibly be fake?"

Leo beamed with a bright smile and said, "Dad, Mom, thank you so much!"

Suddenly, Eleanor caught sight of a familiar figure nearby.

"Julian ! It’s you!" She strode straight up to Julian, glaring at him. "What on earth are you doing here?!"

A vein throbbed on Julian’s forehead. How in the world did I end up running into the Vance family trio here? What a twist of fate!

"What else would I be here for? I’m here to buy a house, of course," Julian said coolly.

"Buy a house? You?!" Eleanor sneered viciously. "Do you honestly think you have the money to buy a house?"

Julian raised an eyebrow and asked, "Eleanor, have you already forgotten that I spent tens of millions at the luxury watch last time?"

Eleanor:"..."

Arthur Vance walked over with a solemn expression.

"Julian," Arthur Vance said in a deep, authoritative voice, "you’re looking at apartments, right?"

Before Julian could even answer, Arthur pushed on directly, "We’re planning to buy your brother a luxury villa. If you come back home and continue your arranged engagement with Miss Ross, I’ll buy you one too."

In truth, Arthur was extremely reluctant to part with tens of millions of dollars for a property. However, the commercial cooperation with the Ross family involved several billion dollars. He desperately needed to coax Julian back into the fold first.

Eleanor’s eyes widened in sheer shock. "Arthur! Why on earth are you buying him a house?!"

How could such a rebellious, unfilial child deserve a villa from their family? This was a matter worth tens of millions of dollars!

"Shut your mouth!" Arthur snapped sharply, glaring at her. "Julian is my biological son too! Isn’t it only right that I buy him a villa?!"

He cursed Eleanor as an absolute idiot in his mind. Doesn’t she know that what we should be doing right now is coaxing Julian back so he will marry Miss Ross?!

"He’s our son?!" Eleanor’s face turned ashen with rage. "What kind of son publicly severs all ties with his own parents?!"

Furthermore, Julian had even conspired with the woman who was keeping him to slap her face in public! She would rather not have a son like that at all! She felt she should have strangled Julian, that rebellious son, as soon as he was born, instead of keeping this scourge around to cause endless chaos in their family!

"Didn’t you hear me tell you to shut up?!"

Enraged, Arthur swung his arm and delivered a harsh slap straight across Leo’s face.

Smack!

A burning, searing pain shot through his cheek. Leo’s eyes widened in absolute shock. Why did his dad hit him?

Arthur then turned to Julian with a pleasant, agreeable expression. Because Arthur couldn’t hit his wife, he hit Leo instead (since, as the saying goes, the wife is the real boss of the house).
