Whoosh!

Above Chaos City, Lin Langtian’s figure suddenly flashed in close to Song Zang, kun wings and dragon horns emerging along his body as distant dragon roars and kun cries echoed faintly around him.

Song Zang’s pupils shrank as Lin Langtian closed the distance in an instant.

He could feel a dangerous fluctuation rolling out from within his opponent’s body.

Boom!

Dragon roars and kun cries erupted together as a terrifying offensive burst forth like a collapsed floodgate.

In that moment, Lin Langtian’s fists, feet, legs, and even his head seemed to turn into the sharpest of weapons, a storm of blows crashing relentlessly toward Song Zang.

The ferocity of the close-quarters assault drew a solemn light into the eyes of many battle-hardened spectators.

They could clearly see just how vicious Lin Langtian’s attacks really were.

He truly deserved to be called a monster who had shattered the shackles of a lower plane.

In terms of combat experience, he was terrifying—enough that even Song Zang was forced slightly onto the back foot at first.

But as the commander-ranked number one of the Domain of Chaos, Song Zang was no ordinary man.

He quickly stabilized his stance.

Spiritual power gathered in his palms.

Tombstones manifested one after another around him, turning offense to defense, building an impregnable barrier that withstood Lin Langtian’s savage onslaught.

Even so, every time a blow landed on a tombstone, Song Zang could feel its surface tremble, hairline cracks spidering through the stone.

A deeper seriousness crept into his gaze.

Only by truly crossing blows would one understand the explosive power hidden in Lin Langtian’s lean frame.

Bang, bang, bang!

The two figures flickered through the air like ghosts, a crushing gale radiating from every clash.

Within a radius of a thousand meters, the shockwaves carved out a half-vacant pocket of sky.

Inside and outside Chaos City, countless eyes fixed on the pair, stunned by the ferocity of their melee.

Each strike aimed straight for the kill.

No one could afford to be hit cleanly.

“That Lin Langtian really lives up to the stories,” someone muttered. “To fight Song Zang, who’s half a step into Fourth-Grade, this evenly…”

“Yeah. His combat sense and physical strength are monstrous,” another added. “He’s pushed both to a terrifying level.”

“At this rate, Song Zang’s going to have to get serious.”

“Just wait. He has a Sovereign Avatar—and there’s no way Lin Langtian doesn’t have one of his own.”

“…”

Whispers rippled across the sky as the battle burned hotter than anyone had predicted.

“Never thought the Heaven-Earth Sect would produce someone like this,” the Blazing Fist Gate Master said, fists clenched, his old face turning ugly. “Lin Langtian is a real variable.”

“Relax,” the Black Demon Sect Master replied with a cold smile. “We haven’t seen all of Song Zang’s strength yet.

“This third match won’t disappoint either of you.”

The Blazing Fist Gate Master and Dragon Might Cult Master traded glances.

They didn’t know what hidden card their ally was holding, but at this point, they could only trust Song Zang.

On the Heaven-Earth side, tension slowly gave way to growing delight.

No one had expected a half-step Third-Grade Sovereign like Lin Langtian to fight a half-step Fourth-Grade commander on even ground.

Whatever doubts his youth and short tenure in the sect had once raised, this battle was erasing them blow by blow.

After this, few would argue with calling him the Heaven-Earth Sect’s number one commander.

After all, nothing raised one’s standing faster than undeniable military merit.

Bang!

In the sky, Lin Langtian’s kun-scaled leg slashed down like a blade, smashing into a black tombstone.

The impact blasted three tombstones apart in a shower of shards before his heel slammed into Song Zang’s chest.

Boom!

Song Zang’s body flew backward like a broken kite, crashing into a mountain below.

The earth shook with the impact.

Ridges crumbled one after another as his body ploughed through them, carving ravines that stretched to the horizon.

Dust billowed upward in towering clouds.

Silence fell over the battlefield.

On the Domain of Chaos side, faces tightened.

On the Heaven-Earth side, some couldn’t hold back relieved, triumphant laughter.

But neither the three elders nor the Nine Kings smiled.

Their expressions remained grave as they stared into the dust.

A moment later, a dazzling gray light pierced the smoke.

Lin Langtian’s lips curved faintly.

With a sweep of his sleeve, a gust of wind tore the haze away.

Song Zang emerged from the shattered stone below.

He looked disheveled, but the gleam in his eyes was sharper than ever.

He fixed Lin Langtian with a hard stare and smiled.

“You’re a worthy opponent,” he said quietly. “Unfortunately, this victory can only belong to the Domain of Chaos.”

Boom!

Spiritual power erupted from him like a storm-tossed sea.

Behind him, a colossal shadow took shape.

It towered nearly a thousand meters high, a Sovereign Avatar forged from flowing sand, torrents of grainy light running down its frame.

Its oppressive aura swept across the sky.

“That’s the Sandfall Avatar—ninety-second on the ranking of Ninety-Nine Sovereign Avatars!”

Gasps echoed from the crowd.

Many recognized it at once.

In the Domain of Chaos, it was among the most elite Avatars, reserved for only the most outstanding of disciples.

“Ninety-second, huh?”

Lin Langtian eyed the towering figure and merely smiled.

In terms of ranking, few here could boast anything stronger than the Great Sun Undying Body.

Boom!

While that thought flickered by, Song Zang moved.

His feet slammed down, sending the Sandfall Avatar shooting skyward in a streak of yellow light.

Its massive body moved with thunderous speed, a blurred mass of sand bursting into the air.

In a flash, it appeared overhead.

Bang!

A golden-sand palm crashed down at Lin Langtian like a falling sky.

The sand glinted like metal, the weight of its pressure threatening to crush the void itself.

It was almost hard to breathe under the oncoming force.

Lin Langtian’s face tightened.

He thrust his hand up, dragon fist spiraling into the air.

Bang!

The two forces collided.

This time, his dragon fist shattered instantly.

The resulting shockwave hurled him back hundreds of meters before he managed to regain his balance.

“Good!”

Cheers exploded from the Domain of Chaos.

They were delighted to see Lin Langtian driven back for once.

“If you don’t call out your own Avatar soon, you won’t be looking so composed,” Song Zang called from atop the Sandfall Avatar.

Lin Langtian’s lips quirked.

“As you wish,” he replied calmly.

He brought his hands together, fingers weaving through a rapid series of seals.

Boom!

Demonic energy erupted from deep within him, sweeping outward in a surging tide.

A colossal black silhouette rose up behind him, bathed in dazzling demonic light.

The giant figure stood like a demon god among the shattered hills, eight enormous drums of differing attributes floating behind its head.

Its presence alone pressed on the soul.

All across the battlefield, eyes widened.

The oppressive weight pouring from that black Avatar made it hard to breathe.

That was no half-step Third-Grade’s power.

Clearly, this was Lin Langtian’s Sovereign Avatar.

But no one could place its origin.

Nowhere in the ranking of Ninety-Nine Avatars was anything quite like it recorded.

And yet its aura was anything but ordinary.

“It’s not on the list… a hidden Sovereign Avatar?” someone muttered, eyes brightening.

Among the strongest of the crowd, interest sharpened to a keen edge.

For those who had already stepped into Sovereign, a powerful Avatar was a prize beyond price.

Even Song Zang’s brows drew together.

He stared at the demon-god-like silhouette, his voice dropping.

“So you did have some tricks left.”

Boom!

He stomped once.

The Sandfall Avatar lunged forward again, its sandy body dissolving into a roaring flood that hurtled toward the Myriad Phenomena Demonic Body.

The storm of sand loomed large in Lin Langtian’s eyes.

He flicked a hand.

The Flame Drum behind his Avatar’s head boomed forward, unleashing a wave of demonic fire that surged to meet the yellow torrent.

Though Song Zang had stepped half a foot into the Fourth-Grade, Lin Langtian felt no fear when it came to clashing Avatars.

Here, he was confident.

Bang!

The two titans crashed together, shaking space itself.

Sand and demonic flame collided again and again, thunder echoing with every impact as sparks burst across the sky like fireworks.

Everyone watching wore the same look of stunned awe.

Neither held back.

Every exchange could have crippled a lesser Sovereign.

In just a few short minutes, the two giants had exchanged hundreds of blows.

Spiritual power twisted the very fabric of the air around them.

Within the Heaven-Earth ranks, even the most seasoned experts stared upward, shaken.

Step by step, Lin Langtian’s performance had won them over.

Whatever happened now, his place in the sect’s heart was secure.

Boom!

As the battle raged on, the pace never slackened.

Up above, Song Zang stood fused with his Sandfall Avatar, every breath synced to its movements.

And the longer they fought, the more his unease grew.

No matter how he probed, he could sense no sign of weakness from Lin Langtian’s Avatar.

Worse, the force pouring off the demonic flames felt like it was eating away at his sand, dimming its glow.

“This Avatar… isn’t normal,” he thought, eyes narrowing.

He could not let the fight drag on.

“It should be about time.”

His gaze flicked across the warped sky.

Then his hands began to move.

The Sandfall Avatar suddenly withdrew a thousand meters, its massive palms slamming together.

A deep humming boomed across the void.

“Sandfall Burial Grand Formation!” Song Zang roared.

Hum!

Lin Langtian’s eyes sharpened.

The air around him warped.

Sand, wrapped in spiritual power, erupted from the void, forming a massive yellow domain around him.

Walls of sand rose on every side, sealing him in from all directions.

The yellow grains surged inward like a crushing tide, the overwhelming pressure making even the distant sky shudder.

Gasps burst from both armies.

Every gaze locked on Song Zang, now standing at the heart of the formation.

So this was why he was called the most dangerous of the Domain of Chaos commanders.

Few would have guessed he’d been laying this trap even as he fought.

The Sandfall Burial Grand Formation wasn’t a traditional spirit array.

It was a killing field woven by the Sandfall Avatar itself.

And now it had sprung.

“Seems this match is decided,” the Blazing Fist Gate Master said, smiling once more.

The heads of Blazing Fist Gate, Black Demon Sect, and Dragon Might Cult understood exactly what had been unleashed.

This was Song Zang’s trump card.

Once the sand closed, its crushing power could grind even other Sovereign Avatars to dust.

Over the years, more than one proud Sovereign had seen their Avatar torn apart inside that swirling grave.

Lin Langtian might be monstrous—but in the end, they believed, he would be buried like all the rest.
