Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close
Chapter 470: Going to the Blackwood Family for a Vicious Face-Slap, Dishing the Dirt on Lustre’s Top Family
When Quentin Blackwood and Ivy Sherwood arrived at the Blackwood residence, practically the entire family was present.
Silas Blackwood and Mrs. Blackwood were home, and so was Sylvia Blackwood.
As for Caleb Blackwood, he had been brought back tied up.
Caleb Blackwood’s mouth was gagged, and he was completely bound. He seemed to be trying to say something, making muffled sounds, but Quentin Blackwood gave him no opportunity.
"Quentin Blackwood, don’t take this too far!" Silas Blackwood was furious when he saw his father tied up like this.
Quentin Blackwood said, "Don’t be so hasty, my dear nephew. You’ll have plenty to curse about in a moment. But as for who you’ll be cursing, that’s not so certain."
"What do you mean? What are you trying to do? Do you think our family isn’t in enough chaos? You have to come looking for more trouble?"
Quentin Blackwood led Ivy Sherwood directly to a high-end sofa and sat down, crossing his legs with a leisurely air.
"I’m not here to cause trouble. I’m here to give you a gift."
"Your child has been born, and your uncle hasn’t had the chance to give you a gift. Perfect timing, I’ll make up for it today," Quentin Blackwood said faintly.
At the mention of the child, Silas Blackwood’s expression changed.
’That child isn’t even his! He’s been cuckolded!’
"MMPH... MMPH..." Caleb Blackwood was still struggling over there, writhing on the floor like a worm.
But Quentin Blackwood was indifferent. This was the price Caleb Blackwood had to pay.
"I recall you Blackwoods love a good spectacle, don’t you? You wouldn’t mind if I started a live stream, would you?"
Beside him, Ivy Sherwood covered her mouth, stifling a laugh. ’When it comes to dishing out this kind of punishment to scumbags, Quentin is in a league of his own.’
’Would anyone else dare to object? And even if they did, as if Quentin wouldn’t do it anyway?’
One of Quentin Blackwood’s men immediately took out a phone and started filming, making sure, of course, that Quentin and Ivy Sherwood were not in the shot.
The title of the live stream was particularly eye-catching: [Digging Up the Dirt on Lustre’s Top Socialite Family, the Blackwoods.]
As soon as the stream went live, countless viewers immediately flooded in.
"I smell drama. Looks like we’re in for a show."
"Holy shit, who’s got the balls to start this stream? Do you have a death wish? I heard someone said one bad thing online about the head of the Blackwood Family and got hit with a lawsuit."
"Who’s that tied up on the floor? Caleb Blackwood? Isn’t he some great philanthropist? Always doing charity work and all that."
The internet instantly exploded. The stream’s popularity skyrocketed, and tens of thousands of viewers quickly poured in.
"Uncle, what on earth are you trying to do? How did my father offend you? If you’re angry, I’ll apologize on his behalf. But he’s getting old, and he’s your own brother. You don’t have to be so ruthless, do you?"
Silas Blackwood had certainly learned a thing or two since getting married, and his words had become more diplomatic.
He knew he couldn’t stop Quentin Blackwood from live streaming, so he chose his words carefully to make the online audience turn on Quentin.
"My own brother? Heh. Would my own brother arrange to have me killed?"
Ivy Sherwood turned to Quentin Blackwood. "Hm?"
’Caleb Blackwood arranged to have him killed, too?’
"Don’t you dare make baseless accusations!"
Quentin Blackwood waved his hand, and someone immediately brought over a laptop. "This is surveillance footage from the airport road a few days ago. It was a serious car crash. Three dead, ten injured."
"What does this have to do with my father? It was clearly the driver’s own fault for speeding." Silas Blackwood was also aware of this news story.
Quentin Blackwood had his man zoom in on the details. "These cars behind him were following him the whole time. He sped up to try and shake them. But the large truck in front, which had been traveling at a normal speed, suddenly slowed down, and he crashed right into it."
"And the model of this car is the same as the one I was driving at the time. Caleb Blackwood wanted to arrange a car crash for me, but his men ended up targeting the wrong person. The victim owed money to loan sharks and was trying to skip town. When he saw cars chasing him, he thought they were after him. This was no accident. Even the truck was part of the plan. Do I need to show you more evidence?"
It wasn’t just Silas Blackwood; even Ivy Sherwood looked at Quentin Blackwood in shock.
’She never imagined that the car crash wasn’t an accident!’
’And it was aimed at Quentin!’
"Your father is responsible for three deaths, one of whom was a college student studying abroad. Do you have any idea how much pain their families are in? No amount of money can make up for that."
Although Quentin Blackwood had already sent people to handle the matter and compensate the victims’ families with a great deal of money, he knew that this kind of pain was something money could never heal.
And Caleb Blackwood was the cause of it all.
Silas Blackwood was stunned. Online, the comments section had completely erupted. The live stream now had over a hundred thousand viewers.
"I know about that crash. I’m from Lustre. It was really bad."
"Oh my god, it was deliberate? And Caleb Blackwood was behind it? That’s inhuman!"
"Pah! What a piece of trash! To think I actually wanted to work for the Blackwood Group. Now I just feel sick!"
"That was three lives! The student who was studying abroad was my high school classmate. He was an only son. You have no idea how devastated his parents are. They can’t move on."
"Quentin Blackwood was lucky. If he hadn’t been, he would have been the one in that crash."
The screen was flooded with comments from viewers, all of them curses, but the people in the room couldn’t care less about them.
"Impossible! This is absolutely impossible! I don’t believe it! This must be fake!" Silas Blackwood still couldn’t believe it. ’How could his father do something like this?’
"I will provide this evidence to anyone who wants to sue Caleb Blackwood. It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not. All that matters is that the judge does."
Caleb Blackwood’s eyes went wide. He struggled even more frantically, but he couldn’t break free.
Quentin Blackwood continued, "Now that we’re done talking about me, let’s talk about you arranging for someone to kill Ivy Sherwood."
Silas Blackwood’s eyes widened again. ’When did this happen? How did he not know anything about it?’
Ivy Sherwood said, "That was probably Anna Nash’s idea. I don’t think it came from Caleb Blackwood."
"Ivy, you just said it was Anna’s idea, so what does it have to do with my dad? You probably don’t know this, but Anna and I are getting a divorce. She was probably just using my dad’s name as a cover. She was the one who wronged our Blackwood family first. My dad would never help her. There must be some kind of misunderstanding here."
Ivy Sherwood looked at Silas Blackwood, only now finding him pitiful.
’She didn’t know whether to call him naive or just plain stupid. His father, his wife—both of them were scheming devils. But Silas... he was just an idiot.’
"Ivy Sherwood!" Just then, Anna Nash burst in from outside.
She dropped to her knees right in front of Ivy Sherwood. "I did it! I didn’t want to kill you! I just thought you were the one who told Silas, so I only wanted to teach you a lesson! I was wrong, Ivy. Please, don’t say any more. I’m begging you!"
Anna Nash was on the verge of kowtowing to Ivy Sherwood. If Ivy said anything more right now, it would destroy everything she had!
’She knew she had been too rash. Ivy was no longer the same gullible person she used to be able to deceive so easily.’
