Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

Chapter 463: Anna Nash’s Secret Exposed

  • Next Chapter

"What were you just talking to Silas Blackwood about?" Anna Nash asked directly.

She was too far away to hear clearly, only catching something about a child.

"Nothing important."

"I don’t believe you. Did you tell him my secret? Did you tell him the child isn’t his?" Anna Nash was extremely agitated.

She didn’t see that, not far away, someone was eavesdropping. Sylvia Blackwood covered her mouth in shock, unable to believe what she was hearing.

’What had Anna just said? That the child wasn’t her brother’s?’

"I didn’t."

"Then why did you bring up the child? Did you tell him I’m pregnant?" Anna was convinced Ivy Sherwood had revealed her secret.

"I’m not that petty. Not everyone is interested in your secrets."

"Ivy Sherwood, if you tell anyone my secret, I swear I won’t let you get away with it!"

"You’d better watch what you say. You’re being so loud, everyone around us can hear you."

With that, Ivy Sherwood turned to leave. Seeing this, Sylvia Blackwood ducked behind a nearby pillar.

She was still reeling from the shock. Anna mentioned being pregnant... ’Does that mean Anna’s pregnant again?’

’My brother can’t... so if Anna is pregnant again, whose child could it be?’

’Anna only managed to marry into the Blackwood family because of that child. If the child isn’t my brother’s, then...’

Sylvia Blackwood watched Anna walk away before daring to emerge from behind the pillar. With Anna gone, Sylvia found an opportunity to approach Silas Blackwood. "Brother, you need to get a paternity test for the child. He might not be yours."

"Sylvia, what are you talking about?" Silas’s eyes were bloodshot, heavy with exhaustion.

"It’s true. I overheard Anna talking to Ivy Sherwood today. Anna said... it sounded like the child isn’t yours."

"Brother, whether it’s true or not, we should get a test just to be sure. What if Anna has been lying to us all this time?"

Silas Blackwood clenched his fists, his eyes terrifying.

The child was his bottom line. If Anna dared to lie to him about this, he would tear her to pieces!

Silas didn’t let Anna know. He secretly took a sample of the child’s hair, along with his own, and went to get a paternity test.

The results came back the next day. Silas stared at the final, bold words: "Paternity Not Confirmed." Veins bulged on his forehead. He clenched his hands into tight fists, his knuckles cracking.

’That goddamn bitch!’

’I’m going to kill that bitch!’

Sylvia saw the report too. Her heart jumped. Seeing Silas storming out of the hospital, she quickly ran after him.

"Brother! Brother!"

「The Blackwood Residence.」

It was the weekend, so Mrs. Blackwood and Caleb Blackwood were also home.

Mrs. Blackwood was furious with Anna, but there was nothing she could do. As for Caleb Blackwood, Anna might have feared him in the past, but not anymore.

Caleb had no idea that every time they were... intimate, Anna had secretly placed a camera in the dark and recorded everything.

If Caleb ever dared to do anything to her, she would leak the videos.

For her, a scandal like that meant no real loss. At worst, she’d get flamed online for a bit, but she’d been flamed online more than enough times to be used to it.

But it was a different story for the Blackwood Family and the Blackwood Group. The family couldn’t afford such a disgrace. Caleb’s carefully crafted image as a great philanthropist couldn’t be destroyed, or the Blackwood Group’s stock would plummet.

Mrs. Blackwood glared at Anna, her eyes looking like they could kill.

Anna, however, couldn’t care less. She just continued to leisurely eat her breakfast.

"Some women wake up later than dogs," Mrs. Blackwood began, her dissatisfaction with Anna clear.

Anna replied calmly, "Yes, a little later than you."

Mrs. Blackwood paused, sensing the jab. "Are you calling me a dog?"

"I never said that. You said it yourself."

Mrs. Blackwood was livid. "You... you... Your own child is in the hospital, fighting for his life, and you can still sit there casually eating breakfast!"

Anna said, "I’m hardly the one who should be most worried. Your son wants to divorce me. Once we’re divorced, won’t it be easy for me to have another child? As for some people... they’ll never be able to have children in their entire life."

Mrs. Blackwood had no way of controlling Anna and was always left half-dead with rage.

Ever since Anna had married into the family, there hadn’t been a single day of peace in this house!

Caleb said nothing. Mrs. Blackwood nudged him. "Honey, say something. Look at her."

Caleb glanced at Anna, then said to his wife, "You should say less."

"I..."

’How did this become my fault?’

Since Caleb had spoken, Mrs. Blackwood couldn’t say much more. She just glared at Anna.

If looks could kill, Anna would have died a thousand times over.

Anna continued eating. Just as she finished, there was a loud BANG from the entrance as the door was violently thrown open.

"Young Master." The maids jumped in fright.

Silas Blackwood stormed in, his eyes crimson, looking like he was about to devour someone.

"Anna Nash! You bitch! You bitch!" Silas strode over and kicked Anna straight to the ground.

Then his fists came down, holding nothing back.

Probably no man could accept that his child was actually someone else’s. And he... he would never be able to have another child. He had believed this was his only child, which was the entire reason he had married Anna in the first place.

’This woman, Anna, is truly vicious. So vicious!’

"Son, what on earth happened? Did something happen to the child?" Mrs. Blackwood was also terrified.

"Ask this bitch! Ask her how badly she’s deceived us!" Silas threw the paternity test results right in Anna’s face. "This child isn’t mine at all! I’ve been fucking raising someone else’s son!"

"What?" The color drained from Mrs. Blackwood’s face.

Caleb’s gaze sharpened.

"This woman tried to fool me with someone else’s kid! I’m going to beat you to death today!"

"Stop!" Anna roared.

She never thought the truth about the child would be exposed like this. A paternity test takes time, so it seemed Silas must have gone to get it done yesterday.

’Now that I think about it, the timing lines up perfectly with when Ivy Sherwood left!’

’That Ivy Sherwood! She claimed she didn’t say anything, but she backstabbed me!’

"What else do you have to say for yourself?" Silas couldn’t believe Anna could possibly spin another lie.

At this point, there were no more excuses for Anna to make. She just burst out laughing like a madwoman.

Then she admitted it. "It’s true, the child isn’t yours. That’s right, I’ve been lying to you all along. I was cheating on you long ago, both before and after we got married. How does that green hat feel?"

The moment Anna’s words came out, the expression on everyone’s face changed drastically.
