Chapter 92: Castle Of Lizardmen (Part 2)

Evan reached near the location marked on the map and looked around, a frown appearing on his face.

"Where is the cave marked on the map?" He muttered as he saw only thick trees around him.

The place marked on the map was very different from the other areas of the Dream Forest that Evan had seen until now.

This area of the forest was filled with tall trees that were nearly forty meters tall. If it wasn’t because he knew he was still in the Dream Forest, Evan would have thought he had returned to the Dark Forest, as it was the only place where he had seen such tall trees.

He carefully looked at the map to see if he had come to the wrong location, but he did not find any problem with it.

"Let’s look around this area. Maybe the cave is hidden somewhere between these thick trees," Evan muttered and started to look around.

Soon, half an hour passed, but he still didn’t find anything.

"Just where in the world is this cave? Is it possible that I got the wrong map?"

Evan frowned and even used Wings of Wind to look for it from the sky, but even then, he did not find anything.

Not finding anything from the sky, he once again landed on the ground and began to look carefully between the trees.

"Huh?"

Around ten minutes later, Evan felt something and looked toward a round stone that was as tall as a person.

Looking at the stone some distance away from him, Evan’s eyes narrowed as he could feel very faint fluctuations of mana coming from it.

The fluctuations of mana were very weak. If it wasn’t because his Affinity towards mana was very high, he wouldn’t have noticed them.

"Is there something wrong with this stone?" He muttered to himself and quickly walked over to the stone.

As he came closer, Evan did not find anything extraordinary about the stone other than feeling some mana fluctuations from it.

However, everything changed the moment he touched the stone.

As soon as his hand touched the stone, the three shards of the Entrance Authority Token placed inside his Storage Ring came out on their own and floated before the stone.

Evan was stunned when he saw this and subconsciously took a step back, ready to run away in case something happened.

Floating before the stone, the three shards shone with a golden light. And as this golden light fell on the stone, the stone trembled violently, and strange runes began to appear across its surface.

Evan watched everything with his eyes wide open, not understanding what was happening.

However, because he didn’t feel any danger, he didn’t try to run away or stop the shards either.

Around a minute later, the shards stopped releasing golden light and fell to the ground.

Evan looked at the three shards on the ground and, after hesitating for a moment, picked them up before putting them back into his Storage Ring.

Although he felt a bit weird about them acting on their own, he couldn’t throw them away after putting so much effort into obtaining them.

After putting away the shards, he looked back at the stone and saw that its surface was now covered in dense runes.

Suddenly, all the runes on the rock lit up and released a bright silver light.

The light was so bright that Evan was forced to close his eyes.

A few seconds later, when the light faded and he opened his eyes once again, Evan’s jaw nearly dropped to the ground as he looked at the scene before him.

The rock in front of him had disappeared, and instead of the rock, a two-meter-high door appeared before him.

Evan took out the map and looked at the image of the cave that was drawn on it. After looking at it repeatedly, he confirmed that the door was similar to the cave entrance drawn on the map.

"This... This map is so misleading."

It was the only thing Evan could say after seeing that the cave was actually a door.

The door was silver in color, and Evan could still see many runes engraved on it.

After thinking for a moment, he came near the door and tried to open it.

The door was not locked, and with just a light push, it easily opened.

As the door opened, what greeted Evan was endless darkness. Behind the door, all he could see was darkness, nothing else.

"Do I really have to go in?" Evan muttered, gulping down his saliva as he looked at the darkness.

He did not know why, but the darkness behind the door really gave him a very uneasy feeling.

Taking a deep breath, he tried to calm down, and his face turned serious.

’I just need one more shard to complete whatever this Entrance Authority Token is. I can’t stop after coming this far,’ He thought, and after checking everything, he entered through the door.

Just as Evan entered, his vision was engulfed in darkness, and he felt like he was traveling at a very high speed.

Evan was familiar with this feeling because when he entered the Skeleton Graveyard Dungeon, he had felt the same thing.

’Am I inside a dungeon?’ He thought, his eyes narrowing slightly.

After some time that felt like forever to Evan, the darkness started to fade away, and a bright light covered his entire vision.

Evan was once again forced to close his eyes, but he used his Wind Detection skill to its full power just in case he was attacked by something.

A few seconds later, the light faded, and when Evan opened his eyes, he found himself standing in a hallway.

Before he could look at his surroundings, some notifications appeared before him.
