World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch
Chapter 164: Wind Valley (Part 2)
Once they were out of the academy building, Liam immediately waved his hand.
"I don’t think there’s any need for me to follow you to Wind Valley..." He said with an amused smile. "I’m going to train my skills, too, or a certain someone will call me top-tier trash again."
When Evan heard Liam’s words, he immediately looked away and exercised his right to remain silent.
Hearing that Liam was going to train, Erza also stopped and nodded.
"Since that’s the case, I’m going to train my archery, too."
Kevin joined them as well and waved at Alice and Evan.
"Alice is more than enough to show you where Wind Valley is."
After saying that, Erza and the other two didn’t wait for a response before turning around and running away.
Evan was dumbfounded when he saw this. However, when he looked at Alice, he noticed that she was smiling slightly.
Seeing his bewildered expression, Alice chuckled and shook her head.
"I’ve never seen them this eager to train."
Alice knew that the reason they were so eager to train was because of Evan’s earlier match.
After seeing him defeat Eric without even lifting a finger, Liam and the others realized how far behind they were, despite having higher levels.
They understood that if they didn’t train hard, the gap between them and Evan would only continue to widen.
They were elite students of the elven academy and would soon be joining the main academy in just a few days.
They were confident that Evan would join them at the main academy soon as well. By then, they didn’t want to remain so weak that they couldn’t even see his back.
Hearing Alice’s words, Evan looked at Liam and the others running away and smiled slightly.
"Looks like I’ll have to work hard if I want to become stronger than them after they join the main academy."
Alice nodded and turned around.
"Let’s go. I’ll show you the place where the wind element is most active. I want to train, too, or I won’t be able to call myself the captain of my team," She said before leading Evan toward Thunder Mountain, which he had seen on his first day at the academy.
"Is Wind Valley close to Thunder Mountain?" Evan asked when he saw where Alice was taking him.
"Yes." Alice nodded and, without explaining further, began running toward Thunder Mountain.
Thanks to their high Agility, they arrived near the mountain in just fifteen minutes.
To Evan’s surprise, the closer he got to the mountain, the more active the wind element became.
He could see lightning striking the peak of Thunder Mountain from time to time, but instead of the lightning element, the element that was most active in the area was wind.
Evan looked around carefully and spotted a narrow passage at the foot of Thunder Mountain that led deeper inside.
Even without entering it, he could sense that the source of the high-density wind element lay within that narrow passage.
"You can train in that narrow passage. The deeper you go, the higher the density of the wind element becomes," Alice explained as she stopped in front of the entrance.
"The peak of Thunder Mountain is the best place to comprehend and train lightning skills, while its base contains Wind Valley, which is suited for wind-element users."
Evan nodded in understanding and as he stood at the entrance to Wind Valley, he felt a cold breeze caress his face.
"Be careful while you’re inside. The wind intensity in the central area is high enough to injure even Rank Three Evolvers," Alice reminded him in a serious voice.
Evan nodded because, even without her warning, he could sense the tearing winds blowing in the deeper areas. They were powerful enough to shred him to pieces in just a few seconds.
Seeing him nod, Alice pointed at her Communication Crystal.
"If you run into any trouble, just contact me through your Communication Crystal." As she spoke, Alice turned around to leave. "I’m going to train as well. Let’s meet at dinner time."
"Thanks for your help," Evan said with a nod as he watched Alice leave.
Once she disappeared from his sight, Evan looked back at the entrance and took a step forward.
As soon as Evan stepped into Wind Valley, he felt his power begin to increase as his Elemental Apprentice perk activated, granting him a 20% boost whenever he was in an area where the elements were highly active.
As Evan ventured into the narrow passage, the wind element began gathering around him as if welcoming him.
Evan continued walking deeper, and the farther he went, the stronger the gales became.
After a minute, Evan stopped when he noticed that he was surrounded by countless tiny green particles.
"Let’s see how powerful a normal Wind Bullet is here," Evan muttered as he created one.
To his surprise, controlling the wind element was incredibly easy in this place. He merely had to think about creating a Wind Bullet, and a small green projectile instantly appeared before him.
Evan looked at the hard stone wall of Thunder Mountain and fired the projectile at it.
Crack!
A small, peanut-sized crack appeared in the wall where the Wind Bullet struck.
Evan couldn’t help but feel surprised. The power of his Wind Bullet in this area was at least fifty percent greater than usual.
Taking a deep breath, Evan narrowed his eyes.
"Although I won’t be able to improve much in just two days, I should at least familiarize myself with my current strength, which has increased considerably after killing the Wyvern," He muttered to himself as he looked around.
"It’s a pity I don’t have any wind-element-related skills that can evolve right now. Wind Monarch is already at Rank One, Level Five, and can only evolve after I fulfill its evolution requirements. If it were already a Rank Two, Level One skill, I think I could have increased its level a little during these two days."
He shook his head and stopped thinking about it.
Since he only had two days, Evan decided to focus on training all the skills he already possessed rather than trying anything new.
Over the next two days, Evan spent most of his time training in Wind Valley, improving his control over the Wind Monarch skill and mastering its various applications. He met Alice and the others only during dinner.
Alice and the others also immersed themselves in their training, as they would soon be leaving for the main academy.
The two days passed in a flash, and the cooldown timer on Evan’s Entrance Authority Token finally expired.
