Flash!

A flash of light before his eyes made him squint. When the light cleared, he realized someone had actually appeared before him.

’Teleportation?’

As he raised his head, he heard Leon’s voice.

"Who gave you the permission to look up at me?"

Bang!

A punch slammed into his face, and the chair beneath him broke into pieces.

"Leader!" Martin’s expression changed. "You’re asking to be killed!"

He roared and jumped at Leon, only for a silver longsword to stab into the ground before him.

Selene calmly stepped on the wall, descending from an ice platform.

She glanced at Leon, then said, "I’ll deal with this one and the other guy. You handle their leader."

Leon rolled his eyes. "Yes, ma’am."

He turned to look at the guy who had jumped off the wall and escaped into the camp, dark amusement in his eyes.

"This makes it more interesting."

He jumped off the wall too, leaving Selene alone with the twins. Joe had also returned to the top of the wall, and seeing Selene, he debated going after Leon.

For some reason, he had a feeling that if he did, then his brother would die very quickly.

As if she hadn’t noticed them, Selene pulled out the sword from the bricks, then slowly sheathed it.

She glanced at Martin, then asked, "Don’t you feel cold?"

The man’s eyes widened, and he stepped back in horror. Ice had covered his hands, and he was already freezing without even knowing.

"Bitch!"

Joe yelled, realizing what was happening to his brother. He quickly unsheathed his sword and dashed at Selene, swinging straight at her neck.

Her hand moved slightly, and three ice spikes shot towards him. Joe was forced to stop in his tracks and destroy the three ice constructs.

His sword turned black, and he growled. "You can’t be underestimating me, right?"

He suddenly sped up, silently appearing right behind her. Selene was focused on Martin, and it seemed she hadn’t noticed him at all.

Suddenly, his legs stiffened. He looked down in surprise, seeing his ankles covered in ice.

Before he could stomp his feet and break them off, he felt ice shards digging into his ankles. He winced, then stomped his feet violently.

He managed to break them off, but his legs were already bleeding.

He raised his head to glare at her, only to see his brother’s hands falling on the ground in frozen pieces.

’W-what?’

Selene seemed just as surprised as he was, but for a different reason. She turned to look at him, disgust in her eyes.

"Are you guys really Tier Two? You’re too weak."

For the first time, Joe felt his vision go blank from an insult.

Meanwhile, outside the walls, Marie confidently led the Eternal Night Army to engage the Park Slope Evolvers.

They might be outnumbered, but their strength greatly surpassed the men guarding the camp. Besides, Reymond, Miguel, Cassie, and the Titanbreaker Legion were also present.

Against the Park Slope army, it wasn’t even a battle. It was a massacre.

Marie had no problems killing these people. After all, several of her men had lost their lives in the previous encounters and ambushes.

Swampy was the most violent. It bit on several Evolvers, munching and swallowing them after a few bites.

Richard’s tamed beasts worked together with their master, decimating another section of the opposition army.

"You all can go die!"

Miguel laughed loudly, his hammer crackling with lightning as he brought it down.

BOOM!

The ground quaked, and the lightning spread, striking the enemies around him. Not pausing even one bit, he shot forward again, slamming his weapon into the chest of a chubby Evolver with great defensive abilities.

Bang!

The poor guy caved in from the strike, almost folding into two parts. He flew back, crashing through several other Evolvers before falling to the ground, dead.

Miguel didn’t even glance at his corpse.

The Titanbreaker Legion moved like an independent unit. Before leaving, Leon had given them an ultimate order—kill the enemies.

They carried out his order with enthusiasm, breaking the shields of the enemy Evolvers and bringing down their blades upon them. No Evolver or group could resist them for more than ten seconds before being sent to the grave.

Marie dove deep into the enemy lines, moving in a blur of flames and spear. Wherever she went, blood painted the ground. The Evolvers had become so terrified of her that no one dared to attack her again. They could only try to avoid her, and defend themselves if they were targeted. In just a few minutes, the Park Slope army was broken.

Over half of them had been killed, and the rest had lost their resolve to fight. Before long, they began dropping their weapons and surrendering. A few more were killed as a result of this, but the Eternal Night Army finally stopped killing them.

Marie paused, wiping the blood staining her cheeks. Her sharp grey eyes stared at the kneeling Evolvers, and she wondered what to do with them.

Before she could decide, a strange pressure permeated the entire battlefield. Every single person stiffened, feeling a weight upon them.

Right before their eyes, they all saw a single text.

[The Epic—World Ender—is manifesting.]

’This...’

They were all surprised and confused, as they had seen something like this before. Selene was even more confused, as this was the first time she was seeing such a thing.

The last time, she had been unconscious, so she hadn’t received the message. Hence, she knew nothing.

Only Thyra knew exactly what was happening. She stood in the air, her gaze locked on Leon’s figure standing in the middle of the city.

He had his hand around the throat of the Camp Leader, holding him up in the air. He wasn’t choking him, but the man felt suffocated.

Leon didn’t care about his struggles.

Instead, he was more focused on something else. He stared deep into the man’s eyes, then asked.

"You...who is your Patron God?"
