Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 443 - 329: Isaac: Master of Billions of Flesh, Don’t Look Back, I’m Your Daddy (Part 2)
Chapter 443: Chapter 329: Isaac: Master of Billions of Flesh, Don’t Look Back, I’m Your Daddy (Part 2)
A large bulge swelled up where the Evil Eye was, looking as if it might tear itself free at any moment!
Flesh Mutation—a Magic that Isaac had researched back when he was Tier One—had taken on a new life of its own after being enhanced by the Divine Power of the Evil Eye. Even Tier Four Demons and Evil God’s Apostles could only barely suppress it.
"GULP~"
Behind Isaac, Maxu Kant watched the unholy scene and couldn’t help but swallow hard.
Then, they gazed at Isaac with even greater adoration. ’As expected of my Divine Master, so strong!’
"Move out!"
Isaac wasted no time with words. Although Harmon had grown stronger, he wasn’t strong enough to handle so many Tier Four Demons at once. So, Isaac casually tossed out four Flesh Hearts, which swelled in size as they flew. From them burst four Knights wreathed in bloody, gaseous flames, who charged the Demons with greatswords in hand.
Maxu Kant followed the falling Flesh Hearts, simultaneously manifesting a Divine Power Barrier and a Divine Power Cannon!
Although not skilled in combat, Maxu Kant had a firm grasp of their own capabilities. They knew full well that, not being a frontline fighter, their greatest contribution was to protect the four fragile Flesh Hearts while providing support with simple yet high-damage Divine Power Beams.
Rushing onto the field would only make them a liability.
Meanwhile, after tossing out the Flesh Hearts to summon the Blood Flame Knights, the Demon Eye on Isaac’s forehead opened. The power of his Illusion and Reality Dominion spread out silently. In an instant, it disintegrated the counterattacks from the Demons and Apostles, turning them into a sky full of fluttering flower petals!
"!!!"
This bizarre scene made the Demons and Apostles widen their own eyes—and so did the Deities behind them!
’There’s no mistaking it. This is the power of a Dominion!’
’Are you kidding me?!’
’A mere Tier Four Mage, wielding the power of a Dominion?!’
Don’t be fooled by the fact that a Dominion is only one level above an Authority. That single level is incredibly difficult to cross. Many Deities go their entire lives possessing only an Authority, never able to sublimate it into a Dominion!
A Dominion is a domain that only those at Tier Seven can enter!
And this was a hard requirement. Not even the mighty Wizard Civilization could produce someone who could grasp the power of a Dominion before Tier Seven. But now...
They were stunned, but Isaac and Harmon were not. Neither were the Blood Flame Knights.
In the blink of an eye, four Demons were sliced in two by the Blood Flame Knights. Bloody, flame-like Magic Power clung stubbornly to their writhing wounds, preventing them from regenerating. But compared to the Blood Flame Knights’ attacks, Isaac’s and Harmon’s were far more effective.
First, Isaac unleashed a Boundless Void, flooding an Apostle’s mind with a massive amount of junk data and forcing a complete shutdown. Then, the Divine Spirit Book in his hand flipped rapidly. The power of the Master of Billions of Flesh descended in an instant, devouring the Apostle’s flesh, soul, and the Divine Power it carried from another Evil God, before vanishing!
Next was Harmon. The Evil Eye in his palm flared with brilliant light once again. But unlike the previous area-of-effect attack, this time it focused its power on a single Tier Four Demon that resembled a Minotaur.
The moment Harmon’s power descended, the eyes on the Minotaur—which it had managed to suppress with its own Magic Power, forcing them into dormancy and near-closure—snapped wide open. They blazed with a mad light, spinning wildly!
It was as if they were trying to tear themselves free from the Minotaur’s body!
Under the influence of these Evil Eyes, the Minotaur’s flesh frantically converged toward the eyes and was devoured. In an instant, all that was left on the ground was a sheet of ox-hide and the eyes upon it, still twitching madly...
"HISSS!!!"
One shock followed another. The Outer Gods observing from behind the scenes all gasped, their gazes fixed on the Divine Spirit Book in Isaac’s hand as it slowly stopped turning its pages. What had they just seen?
’That fellow, the Master of Billions of Flesh, actually helped a Mad Witch?’
’Even though he took the Evil God’s Apostle as payment in the end, that small prize doesn’t even begin to match the price of breaking the rules to intervene. If it did, it wouldn’t be so difficult for us Outer Gods to invade the Real World.’
’The guy is taking a complete loss on this deal!’
’Is he really that benevolent a God?’
’Besides, I heard he took a vicious, life-threatening blow from the Emperor in the Boundless cosmos. Shouldn’t he be hibernating right now? How does he have the time to help a... Mad Witch?’
’Is that Mad Witch his actual son?!’
There were too many things they didn’t understand, so much so that they didn’t even have time to feel heartbroken over their own losses...
In reality, it was only because the Master of Billions of Flesh had fallen into a deep slumber that they didn’t witness an even more absurd scene!
The Outer Gods were stunned, but the remaining Demons and Apostles were not. After all, two of their own had kicked the bucket in the blink of an eye. If they kept spacing out, it would be a total party wipe!
So they launched an even more ferocious counterattack!
...
After the battle, Harmon and Maxu Kant cleaned up the battlefield while Isaac stood in place, flipping through the Divine Spirit Book.
After using it in actual combat, he found that this thing was actually quite useful. Although the limitation of only being able to summon Tier Four power sounded quite restrictive, in practice, it offered a lot of freedom.
He could choose to have a Deity descend as an Incarnation, have them simply send down their power for him to control, or have them help him achieve certain goals. The last option was especially useful!
This was because real Deities, unlike Isaac’s Virtual Deities, were not only more powerful but also had vast numbers of Believers and Apostles. Every day, they had to answer countless prayers and respond to countless calls for miracles.
In a world where Deities were real and numerous, you couldn’t attract any Believers without showing off some genuine miracles.
But the sheer volume was so enormous that it was impossible for a Deity to respond to each and every one. That would be exhausting!
Therefore, under normal circumstances, it was the Deity’s Divine Kingdom itself that responded to Believers, performed miracles, and empowered Apostles. Only a very small number of devout Believers and special Apostles could attract the Deity’s personal attention.
In fact, even the early trades made by the Mad Witches were answered by the Divine Kingdoms, not the Deities themselves. This was how the first batch of Mad Witches luckily survived. It wasn’t until the Mad Witches’ actions became more and more outrageous that the Deities took over this part themselves.
In recent years, however, there have been signs of this responsibility slowly returning to the Divine Kingdoms. This is because the Mad Witches are also moving with the times; the vast majority of them are now just making by-the-book trades. With the Gate of Legends in place, it has become much more difficult for them to play any tricks.
Well, except for Isaac.
Because the things he wanted, the Divine Kingdoms didn’t have...
But to get back on topic, the Divine Spirit Book was essentially an all-purpose Divine Apostle. It could summon the power of a Deity without cost and execute Isaac’s commands almost perfectly!
Of course, in the terminology of the Church, it would be called "responding to Isaac’s vision."
In any case, the confidentiality of this thing was much higher than Isaac had anticipated. And most importantly!
Bringing down power through the Divine Spirit Book was far more convenient than the normal method!
The normally troublesome rules of the world were completely ignored by some indescribable power, allowing for a direct, cost-free descent!
This meant that throughout this battle, despite calling down his power so frequently, the Master of Billions of Flesh had not only suffered no loss, but had even made a small profit!
This was evident from his increasingly steady breathing.
Sensing the Master of Billions of Flesh’s sleeping state through the Divine Spirit Book, the corners of Isaac’s mouth curved up slightly, revealing a fatherly smile.
After a short while, with the battlefield mostly cleaned up, Isaac and the others once again transformed into beams of Escape Light and flew away.
Though they called it "cleaning up the battlefield," there wasn’t actually much to collect—just some of the more valuable materials from the Demons and a small energy replenishment for the Flesh Hearts. That was all.
After all, most of the enemies from this battle had ended up in the belly of the Master of Billions of Flesh.
’What can I do? I have no idea how it happened, but the Master of Billions of Flesh just ended up getting severely injured...’
’I didn’t even fleece him for that much. He’s so fragile!’
’Adhering to the principle of "sustainable clear-cutting," Isaac decided not to grace any other Deities with his presence for now. He would focus on feeding the Master of Billions of Flesh first. He couldn’t let him just up and croak; that would be a truly crippling loss!’
