Chapter 379: Chapter 280: Endless Tower, Open

Isaac glanced at the Virtual Divinity in his hand again before putting it away. It seemed any concrete experiments would have to wait until he was in the Endless Tower. Although there had been a small mishap, things were, fortunately, still under control.

After Isaac finished inspecting the supplies he needed to bring, Liu Li arrived with Smith and Lorna.

"I’m leaving things at home to you. Follow the plan. Avoid conflict with anyone you can, but if you can’t, go find Caesar. I’ll handle everything else when I get back," Isaac instructed Liu Li as he opened a dimensional rift.

"Yes, Master," Liu Li nodded gently.

With that, Isaac led Smith and Lorna into the dimensional rift, heading straight for the Imperial Capital. When they reappeared in the Real World, they were already outside the capital.

This time, Isaac didn’t bother with any noble etiquette. He teleported directly to the outskirts of the Imperial Capital, tossed out his pumpkin carriage, and in the next instant, appeared within a secret palace inside the Imperial Palace.

This palace was forged entirely from Mithril, its surfaces covered in Mysterious and Profound Magic Runes. The Magic Power flowing within was so dense it was visible to the naked eye!

The palace was immense, at least seven or eight football fields in size!

’Spatial expansion? No, that’s not it. This seems to be a Little World... Interesting. The work of a Traveler?’ Isaac mused, surveying the grand hall in surprise.

This thing didn’t seem like something the Empire could have created. After all, it was a pure Magical Creation. It was common knowledge that the more powerful the Nobility, the fewer Mages they had in their ranks. As for something this valuable, judging others by his own standards, Isaac knew he would never entrust its creation to outsiders.

Likewise, putting himself in their shoes, Isaac knew a powerful Caster would never stay and work for a family. They would surely make the pursuit of Truth their eternal goal...

"Tsk, tsk." In the end, Isaac could only chalk it up to the Empire being obscenely wealthy. Whether they outsourced it or manifested it with some wondrous object, the cost must have been enormous. In any case, there was no way the Empire’s own Casters had accomplished this.

Of course, while Isaac was surprised, the other people in the great hall were looking at him with surprise of their own.

They weren’t surprised by his presence. In fact, everyone who could be here at this moment was either at the very core of the Empire’s power or involved in a major transaction with it. They all knew of each other’s existence.

As the most brilliant, most terrifying, and most insane Mad Witch in the Empire—and perhaps the entire Real World—in the last thousand years, they weren’t shocked that Isaac had received an invitation. What shocked them was *how* he had entered the hall.

This place was, in a sense, like a Little World. Neither spatial transference nor high-speed movement should have allowed for instantaneous entry. Yet, these powerhouses, ranging from Tier Three to Tier Five, couldn’t discern his methods...

No, that wasn’t entirely true. Some had noticed.

In the crowd, a priest in a white robe and a Knight in silver armor, inlaid with a golden divine crest, exchanged a look, both seeing the horror in the other’s eyes.

It was because they had just felt the fluctuation of Divine Power from Isaac!

This wasn’t the kind of Divine Power a Mad Witch plundered from an Outer God, nor was it the inferior Divine Power of a Divine Species. It was the extremely pure Divine Power possessed by a true Deity!

But how was that possible?

As a Mad Witch whose insanity was legendary even in the annals of history, Isaac, while not one to scorn Deities, certainly held no great longing to become one. How could he possibly have set foot on the path to Becoming a God himself?

However, no one else present noticed the shock of these two. After all, in the Terra Empire, Divine Authority was far weaker than Royal Authority. If the situation hadn’t been so exceptional, they would never have been invited by the Empire.

Ignoring the stunned crowd, Isaac casually put away the pumpkin carriage and walked toward the others with Smith and Lorna. Without waiting for instructions from the Royal Family, he directed Smith and Lorna to their designated positions.

Although his own abilities were far from sufficient to construct a Magical Creation of this level, Isaac was still a Tier Four Mage, a being at the forefront of the Path of Wizardry. By coupling his Analysis Authority with a brain that could now barely process Divine Data, he had no trouble understanding the function and operation of this place.

The Royal Family’s subsequent reaction proved that Isaac’s actions were correct; the positions were exactly right.

Although Isaac had been the farthest from the Imperial Capital when he received the notice, he was not the last to arrive. On the contrary, he was among the first—even ahead of Prince Norns.

So much so that when the Prince arrived in the hall and saw Isaac already in position, his face couldn’t help but darken, despite his usual deep cunning.

He was the one from the Imperial Family!

He was the long-established Tier Four!

He was the noble aristocrat!

And yet Solomon, that innately evil little brat, had arrived before him?

’Have those bastards in the Royal Family given up even pretending?’

Under Isaac’s surprised gaze, Prince Norns walked to his position with a grim expression. His retinue, including the Mechanical Remington, was guided by an attendant to another spot.

’That position...’ Isaac glanced at Norns in surprise, then looked at Remington and the others with a hint of pity.

On one hand, Isaac was surprised that Prince Norns, at his advanced age, could be so impatient and openly sullen. On the other hand, he was also surprised by the Prince’s sheer audacity!

Because from the position where Remington and his group were standing, Isaac could tell they were also headed for the Wilderness Dungeon—a Tier Four High Tower!

With their level of strength, they would be nothing but cannon fodder there!

That group didn’t just include recruited Death Warriors and underlings like Remington; it also contained many core members of the Norns Clan. Theoretically, they should have teamed up to enter a Tier Three level of the Endless Tower. Then, they should have concentrated their efforts to help the strongest among them complete the Trial and brute-force a new Tier Four!

That way, even if Prince Norns kicked the bucket in the Endless Tower, the Norns Clan would still have a Tier Four Combat Power. Even facing a powerful enemy like Isaac, they would still have a sliver of hope for survival.

But if they all entered the Wilderness Dungeon...

’It seems he plans to fight me to the death, eh?’

Isaac’s eyes narrowed slightly, but then he gave a faint smile. He didn’t change his plans, still intending to send Smith and Lorna to the Land of the Golden Dragon, a plane related to Giant Dragons.

’This is fine too. It saves me the time. Wiping them all out in one go will be perfect.’

As the group waited, each with their own ulterior motives, the last person smoothly took their place. There were no rousing speeches, no lengthy admonitions. As soon as the final person was in position, the Royal Family members directly activated the Magic Array inscribed upon the great hall!

In an instant, the Magic Runes carved into the hall all lit up, and the terrifying Magic Power they had accumulated was unleashed at once!

A colossal pillar of Magic Power rose from the center of the Imperial Capital, piercing the heavens!

At the same time, in other parts of the Real World, similar pillars of light rose in unison!

Apparently, the Empire wasn’t the only one with a way to get a head start.

But none of that concerned Isaac. At this moment, he was immersed in boundless awe for this Great Creation.

Because even though he was already Tier Four, even though he had activated his Analysis Authority in advance, and even though he had used the Divine Power of his Virtual Divinity to boost his Analysis Authority just as he did with his pumpkin carriage, he still couldn’t detect the slightest trace of the teleportation...

’Truly worthy of being called a Great Creation!’

Isaac lamented as he floated in the gray Void.

Just then, a beam of starlight shot toward Isaac. Before he could react, it swept him up, transporting him to the skies above a stretch of wilderness, where he became a brilliant meteor streaking toward the ground!

Simultaneously, a piece of information appeared in Isaac’s mind, causing him to frown.

It was the Trial given to him by the Endless Tower. Only by completing this Trial could he advance to Tier Five.

And although he had long been mentally prepared, the difficulty of this Trial still made him frown...

’Can this... really be completed?’
